Had a few rough patches as the workers damaged a cupboard and some poor wood cuts. After calling a supervisor, the message was passed and the fixes done. Could not communicate well with the crew as there was a language barrier.

As a Realtor, I refer all of my clients to Kruper flooring. If the house is going on the market and needs new carpeting, he has a really good quality carpet for $2 per foot, installed. NO other fees or charges. It makes a world of difference in how a home shows. For buyers, he will come out and give free estimates so the buyers know what to expect after closing if they want to change out carpeting or add/refinish hardwood floors before they move in. I had him replace hardwood floors and carpeting in my own personal condo, and I love them. I get many compliments from my friends!!

I contacted David from Kruper Flooring and he came the next day to take measurements and talk to me about what I would like to do. We wanted to change carpets in our bedrooms and get rid of berber carpeting on the stairs and main floor and install laminate.
David sent me price quote the same day and next day we had a meeting in his showroom, where he had samples of laminate and carpets.  Good quality stuff! I told him what colors and textures I would like at our first meeting, and he was listening, he had exactly what I asked for and some more to give us variety.
We tried to choose laminate floors before, but couldn't agreed on the color. This time, my husband and I both liked the same laminate. We took the sample home and were asked to test it, drop stuff on it, try to scratch it, to make sure it's durable enough for us.
After signing the contract and paying deposit, our laminate was delivered really fast. Joe Kruper- the owner emailed me right away and we scheduled the installation. He promised us that his crew will do everything in 1 day! I got a call the day before confirming the installation. Great thing- we didn't have to move any furniture, we were told to clear up the tops of dressers and we also emptied the bookshelves.
The crew arrived on time and worked very hard for 13 hours. They did finish everything! Floors looked beautiful, carpets were amazing, so soft and plush. We were really impressed with these guys. They had to move all the furniture out of the bedrooms and we have a lot of stuff, so I know it was not easy. Stairs required a lot of work too and they did a great job.
Next day I noticed couple of scratches and emailed Joe, he sent his guys to fix it. Again, they were right on time, very polite and friendly.
David came and checked the floors, I told him that Kruper Flooring had done an amazing job, what a great team! Great customer service!
The whole thing took 2 weeks from the day I contacted David to the installation! It was the fastest renovation ever and it made such a huge difference in our house! We just love our new floors and carpet! Highly recommend Kruper Flooring!

This company is completely unresponsive. The rep. promised to be on site during installation. I arrived to find only the sub-contractor and my construction foreman. I had a photo of the kind of hard semi gloss finish I wanted (color is ebony). The finish on the floor when completed was nothing like what I had asked for. They suggested I live with it for a while, which I did. The rep came back to discuss the problems with the finish with me, but basically said that it was the "way it was supposed to be".
After two weeks, the floor was a disaster. It took on a sort of milky, plastic-like appearance. I asked Kruper for advice on what products I should use on the floor. They said to keep water off of it, and use a Bruce Hardwood spray. I did all that. I dust and sweep it twice a day. It i impossible to keep looking nice. Thousands of tiny scratches appear any time anyone walks on the floor--we don't even wear shoes we only wear slippers but no matter what I do the surface just gets worse. It look terrible now--whitish mottling and uneven color.
We have a dog and I expected that he would scratch the floor, which he has. But the dog is the least of the problem. I have lived in four other houses, all with hardwood floors, and had dogs at all times. This is the only floor that has not stood up to very mild use.
Only two people live in the house so the floor gets very little traffic.
In any case, I have asked repeatedly for the company to redo the floor. They won't even answer my email. The last time they answered, they said that they did not have an answer for me and there was nothing they could do. I asked for them to come out and see the floor again, now that 8 or so months has gone by (with me trying to get the floor fixed the entire time). At one point about 3 months after the installation, the rep promised he would come out and "buff" the floor. He never did, but I don't think it would help. It needs to be redone with the proper finish.

"[Member Name Removed]- We explained to you when you asked for the black high gloss stain, that scratches would show up. We can only advise and do the best job possible. I apologize about your experience, but we can only work with what we are asked to do. We were very responsive to all of your needs while work was going on and jumped thru hoops for you. The contractor involved in your job had the same issues working with you. In my 25 years of working in floor covering I have come to understand that we can not make everyone happy...especially clients with unreasonable expectations. You putting this review on here is unfair to me a my company...not a good use of social media. If you would like to discuss redoing your floors(At your expense) in a floor/color more appropriate to having a large dog feel free to call me anytime and we will respond. Thank you, Joe Kruper"

Kruper does really, really nice work. I couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. If you want your hardwood floors to look great, this is the company.

Unfortunately working with them was not easy. Here are 3 examples:

First, suffice to say that I did not enjoy working with David Jorgenson, one of their salespeople. I recommend calling owner Joe Kruper's office and working through him.

Second, they left a mess. I found my bedroom door leaning up against the toilet in a bathroom, sanding blocks left all over windowsills, even a closet shelf messed up and out of place. I'd expect that for a cut-rate company, but did not expect it from KFD.

Finally, I paid the balance despite a small - but ugly - thing they overlooked and said they'd come back and fix. Despite their promises, they never called to arrange a time to return and finish the work. A couple of times I got frantic phone calls from the foreman saying, "we're at your house right now - can you let us in?" - in the middle of a weekday afternoon! No, I can't leave work because you stop by without warning. It's called "scheduling an appointment," guys.

I finally had to dispute the charge on my Visa to get their attention before Joe Kruper jumped in and made sure the repair was scheduled. He said contesting the charge was "excessive" on my part. Unfortunately, I guess you have to be "excessive" sometimes to get their attention!  I now have an appointment scheduled for July 2nd for a job that was supposed to be done June 5th - and even then I think it will take one more visit after that.

I do think Joe Kruper is a good guy. When his salesperson miscalculated the square footage of my house in my favor, he honored the original (lower) price they quoted me. And when stairs we all thought were hardwood turned out to be plywood, he worked with me to find a creative and fair solution. But above all else, he seems to hire quality technicians because their work is great. I just wish they cleaned up after themselves and had better follow-through when there is a mistake.

Thanks, Joe, to you and your team for my beautiful floors! I'd give you a higher rating if getting great floors wasn't such a bruising process.

The whole process took 2 and a half days and turned out great!  Two workers did all the work mentioned above and in the end left the home clean and furniture replaced.
There's not much to say, but that they did an excellent job completing ALL the tasks provided in the list I wrote.
Joe Kruper and Kruper flooring is a great local company that does excellent work.  I can't express how great the flooring looks and easy they made it look.

Joe and I got in contact and we talked about our plan for the basement - types of flooring and where it was going, etc. We quickly scheduled a consultation where he brought some samples and measured.  We got the estimate quickly, accepted the price and confirmed options.  A sub crew installed all of the flooring (probably total 1000 sq ft combined) in one day (they were looking at 2 days, but ended up deciding that they could stay a little longer and finish up).  Both the crew's foreman/supervisor (who I never met, but spoke with on the phone) and Joe contacted us to confirm that everything went well, which it did.  All of it turned out beautifully and as expected.  Highly recommended.

They installed the subfloor, then installed the vinyl tile (not ceramic tile, but Angie's list doesn't list this as an option).  We had a family emergency and we weren't here for the install; didn't see it until a week later.  It was perfect!  It was obviously professionally done; the grout lines are perfect, the angle at which the tiles were set really lends visual interest to the floor.  There was great attention to detail; if you look, you can see how they "centered" the floor for the install, all the tile cuts are clean, neat and symmetrical, and the grout lines are exactly the same width and depth across the floor.  We asked Joe Kruper for recommendations for grout color, and he was right-on with his recommendation.  More importantly, the material (we went with Congoleum DuraCeramic) is exactly what we wanted for the space.  It has a warm feel, is easy to clean, and appears durable so far (I've dropped a pan on it--by accident!--and it didn't leave a mark).  The finish work along the baseboards was clean and neat.  Very happy with KFD Floors and would use them again.  We have some hardwood floors that need to be sanded and refinished, and base don this experience we'll definitely call Joe Kruper to have that work done.
