"I’ve been a loyal Snell customer for years, but this recent experience was deeply disappointing. After our AC failed in August, Snell diagnosed a leaking evaporator coil. We chose to replace the system through them, and the salesperson took time to evaluate the setup in advance. However, on installation day, the crew arrived without the correct ductwork and had to make adjustments on the fly. Unfortunately, the adjustments were poorly executed: • The Aprilaire humidifier was mounted on sloped ductwork rather than a level surface, contrary to manufacturer specifications. • The hole for the humidifier was cut inaccurately. • The drain line was left kinked in multiple places. Aprilaire support later confirmed the humidifier was not installed correctly and warned this could lead to water backing up into the system — a concern I had raised with the installers before they left. Despite multiple follow-up attempts, I received no meaningful response. I was told my concerns would be escalated, but no one followed through. This was a major investment, and I now feel I need to bring in another HVAC team to correct issues that should have been resolved from the start. I’ve recommended Snell in the past, but I can’t in good faith do so now after this experience."

"Worst service I’ve ever have experienced. They wanted to sell me the product, never told me that there was an early termination fee and another penalty for an initial offer they gave me. Had double charges every month, once for the oil they provided (which they never told me they were going to provide before coming. They just came without my knowledge and then I find a high amount bill) and another for an “automatic payment” for 500 that they never could explain. The didn’t even fix this issue and it kept happening every month even after I cancelled the service. Then having to call them is a hastié for the refund of the 500. Stay away of this company"

You don’t always expect replacing major home systems to feel stress-free, but Richard made the whole process smooth and even enjoyable. They replaced our AC/Furnace (Condenser, Coil Pack, and Heater) as well as our hot water tank—a big job—and the crew knocked it out of the park. Everything was installed with care, attention to detail, and a clear pride in their workmanship. Richard took the time to explain what was happening every step of the way, which gave us total peace of mind. What stood out most, though, was the responsiveness. "ARS's customer service is subpar. I called 6 times in one day to report an issue with a thermostat and each time I requested a manger to call me back to confirm that this repair will be covered by a ten year warrantee when I purchased the HVAC system just over 2 years ago. No manager called me back . when ARS finally called, their employee tried yet again to upsell me on some nonsense I was NOT interested in or needed. ARS changed my Apt from 2 -6, to 6-9 without notifying me. My AC is still down. I would never recommend this company to anyone. In fact I asked their tech to take a photo of my warrantee paperwork so that I would not end up arguing with them about coverage in the future. this is a horribly run business. I already reported ARS to the BBB. no chance they'll change their practices though. Their Techs are good, with lousy management. "

"I have been a customer for a very long time and this scheduled maintenance and dryer vent cleaning was done by Cesar. I have to say he is one very thorough technician and I was very pleased with his inspection and vent cleaning. His service was so different than some of the ones I've had before. I even had one inspector tell me he didn't need to check in my attic which houses one of our two units. Let me tell you about Cesar, he even cleaned up behind my dryer for me. This is something that is rare in customer service. I have my HVAC seasonally maintenanced and never had a inspector be as thorough as him. The pictures he took and explained to me and the one problem he found that no other inspector had found in all this time. I tried to spare him from the attic heat for the repair and have him return on another day in the morning but he didn't mind going back in there to fix the problem for us although it was in the dead heat of the day. I just hope the company sees this review and knows what a good technician they have in Cesar."
