"Shout out to Frank for more beautiful floor work. Our kitchen keeps getting better and better! Take a look at this tile. Wish we had found Cransten earlier, but we WILL be coming back to them."
"Working with Signature Marble and Granite was fantastic. I was not an easy client. I wanted quartzite, which is really difficult to work with, and I only wanted to have to buy one slab. I don't know how, but the fabricators were able to squeeze out every square inch and make my slab work for my whole kitchen (about 55 square feet). I found Signature Granite and Marble from Home Advisor. They called me back, but I saw they were in Springville. I didn't want to have to go down there from Davis county but John assured me he would come to me, and he did. I got quotes from 3 different fabricators and Signature Granite and Marble seemed like they would do the best job at the best price. Also, I loved working with John and Mick. I felt very comfortable calling John or Mick with any questions. In this process, I called John multiple times, got multiple quotes with different slabs from him, and worked through several complicated issues. If something was confusing in an invoice, I called and John would fix it. I picked my slab out at Arizona tile and was able to schedule an installation date within 2-3 weeks. After having terrible experiences with countertop installations in the past, this was awesome. I could tell they take pride in their work. They were straightforward and gave me clear expectations. They had an issue getting the right brackets but they just took care of it and got the job done. I didn't feel like I was getting sold. Just honest hard work. My counters are so beautiful. I'm thrilled."
"We chose to hire Troy because he came to look at the work requested before bidding unlike other contractors who bid by text. I would hire him again for tile work because he came when he said he would; he worked carefully and thoughtfully on a difficult job, he was neat and respectful of our home. We are very pleased with the results."
"Zavala’s was the best stone/tile expert I’ve ever seen. He was professional from the very start. He was dependable, great to work with, did a lot of extra work from last minute requests and very friendly. Our project required 2 x 4 foot heavy porcelain sheets, mounted ten feet high. He did intricate work on windows, floor, and walls.
He comes VERY highly recommended."
"I'd not been happy with the look of my Granite Kitchen counter top from some time. I wanted to see the "luster" that had so impressed me when the kitchen was new. Kathy at Young Tile told me about a couple of products she uses with her clients. Stone Pro's "Crystal Cleaner" and "Finishing Touch Cleaner and Polish". I'm happy to say my counter top looks new! I thank Kathy for helping me "restore" the look inexpensively, and not trying to sell me an more expensive "refinishing" job. I happily encourage the use of these cleaners. "
"Hired them again! First the floor upstairs and they did so good we hired them for the flooring in our kitchen. Now we hired them to replace our countertops with Quartzite. It looks amazing! They had to remove our old countertop and they were able to do it without hurting the tile backsplash even though it was on multiple sides of the counter. I can't say what a relief that was. Our home is a totally different place. It was so scary to make so many changes but they put a team together to help. Our Team: Paul (sales) was so fast to find us exactly what we wanted. Tara (Project Manager) coordinating a lot go make it happen! Sam / Salvador (installers) genius as I said and flawless work! Would hire these guys easily on our next project."
"She was amazingly professional, efficient and a perfectionist. I would highly recommend her for any tile job. She was a pleasure to have in my house !"

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts
Tile installation can be expensive because it requires more time and labor to install than many other materials. For example, laminate flooring can click and lock into place, and carpet comes in large rolls that you can secure to the floor. On the other hand, tiles need to be cut, laid individually, grouted, and left to cure.
When choosing between porcelain and ceramic tile, the best option depends on your specific needs, budget, and project application. Porcelain tile is generally more durable, denser, and harder than ceramic, making it a good choice for busy, high-traffic areas. It also offers superior moisture resistance, making it ideal for moisture-retaining spaces. However, porcelain is typically more expensive, and its hardness can make it brittle, potentially causing it to crack if a heavy object is dropped on it. In contrast, ceramic tile is a more budget-friendly option with lower material and installation costs. It is softer and easier to work with, making it a great choice for DIY projects. While not as durable as porcelain, ceramic is still a quality material suitable for many home applications, particularly small, decorative projects.
No, painting shower tile doesn’t last and is better reserved as a temporary solution to refreshing the look of old tiles. Shower tile paint may last around one to five years, depending on how well you prep the surface before painting, the type of paint you use, the type of tile in your shower, and how often you use the shower.
The lifespan of tile flooring can vary significantly based on the material and maintenance. Generally, tile flooring can last anywhere from 10 to 30 years, but high-quality, well-maintained ceramic tile can last 75 to 100 years. To achieve a longer lifespan, you should clean the tiles and grout regularly, reseal the grout annually, keep the floor dry, and avoid placing extremely heavy items on it to prevent cracking. Choosing a high-quality tile (Grade 1) will also contribute to its longevity.
Thinset mortar is the best adhesive for ceramic tiles on concrete. It is easy to work with and has a slower dry time than mastic or epoxy mortars. This longer dry time gives the installer more time to adjust tiles, which is especially useful for DIYers who may not have tile installation experience. It can also be built up to help level any depressions or gaps in the concrete subfloor.
