"We had new quartz counters installed by Signature Marble and Granite. I highly recommend them for several reasons. Mick and the others were always responsive to our questions and followed through in every step to make sure the results of our installation were high quality. Everything is level, centered, etc, and finished in a timely manner. Extremely helpful and responsive!"

"I hired Cransten to remodel my bathroom. It was getting old and in need of an update. They came in, replaced the floor, built a shower pan, and laid custom tile around my shower. I was impressed with how friendly and professional they were. I would definitely hire them again!"

"Luis, Jose Sr and Jose Jr repaired damage done by a construction company to my Saltillo tile floors. I really appreciated their caution in not wanting to damage the integrity of the floor and the tiles, and also wanting to do what can be done to repair the damage that was done as best as they can. They were good communicators and the end result was beautiful. They also cleaned up better after themselves than many construction companies. Muchisimas gracias!!"

Hello home owners,\n\nI have been in Construction since 2010 and have done a variety of work. I currently provide handymen services covering general house upkeep, doors, windows, fixtures, blinds, small repairs, rental readiness, landscaping, pressure washing, minor electrical, minor plumbing, etc. and small to medium residential kitchen and bath remodels. I am not licensed as a general contractor but can provide a fair labor cost for carpentry work and manage the renovation with the use of trusted sub contractors to ensure your home will be completed in good quality to your liking. With my knowledge and experience, I can ensure the work will be done safely and in accordance to codes, and regulations. I am experienced at renovating homes new and old, and am currently working on getting licensed to do more work. I can help you answer some questions by providing a vision for your remodel upon a walk-through. I also can provide contacts for other work needed such as roofing, flooring, electrical, plumbing, and such alike. Let's connect, and create a remodel you will love for years to come!\n\nBryson

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Here’s another instance of where the answer is you could, but that doesn’t mean you should. Yes, part of the issue is getting the drywall to stay in place on the tiles, and it’s understandable that screws will crack the tiles and cause them to crumble. That’s why it’s a much better idea to screw drywall into studs, not your porcelain or ceramic tile. But aside from issues with attaching the drywall, it’s also about ensuring a smooth application without trapping moisture inside.

The best types of tiles for a shower are ceramic and porcelain tiles. These materials are durable, water-resistant, and easy to maintain, making them ideal for wet environments. Porcelain tiles are slightly more durable than ceramic. Both options come in a wide variety of styles, so you can achieve the perfect look for your bathroom.

The rule tells you how to cut tile to install it in a corner. The 3/4/5 rule recommends that you should have 3 feet across on one straight line, four feet on the other perpendicular line, and 5 feet of length from the end of one of the lines to the other. You’re making a right triangle with the tile, and the hypotenuse (the line across from where the 3-foot lie and 4-foot line meet) should be 5 feet long.

In some cases, granite tiles can be installed over existing flooring if the surface is level, stable, and free of moisture issues. However, removing old flooring is often recommended to ensure a secure and long-lasting installation, as well as to avoid height differences at thresholds. Consult with your flooring pro to determine the best approach based on your specific situation.

Penny tile should be sealed to protect the grout from moisture and keep stains from damaging the look of the tile. If penny tile is in a humid or high-traffic area, like a bathroom, kitchen, or entryway, it needs sealant. Any type of tile and grout is best maintained with a sealant reapplied by a pro every one to two years.
