"Jared with Clutter Control did an amazing job on our spring yard clean-up! He removed old, unwanted rose bushes and shrubs, cleaned out our flower beds and window wells, and left everything looking fresh and well-maintained. He was great to work with — professional, reliable, and very thorough. I especially appreciated that he took the time to point out a few repairs and improvements as he came across them, which was incredibly helpful. His pricing was very fair, and the quality of his work exceeded expectations. I would absolutely recommend Jared to family and friends and will definitely be using his services again in the future!"

I’ve been providing quality drywall and home improvement services with a focus on reliable work and attention to detail. My experience includes drywall installation and patchwork, mudding, taping, texture matching, flooring installation, demo work, framing, and baseboard installation. I take pride in showing up on time, keeping job sites clean, and making sure every project is done right the first time. I work hard to give homeowners professional results at a fair price and am available for jobs throughout the area, including travel for the right projects.

"I had five poplar trees that were taken down. They were really big. Probably about 60 feet. There was a basketball hoop in the middle of the yard but I feel they could have still avoided it. Needless to say the hoop got demolished. They took it out of the bill which is fine but I have to remove the in ground basketball hoop. Some other tree fell on the house damaging some rain gutters and railing for stairs. One of the guys said he'd come back to fix but never came."

"All the members were extremely courteous and hardworking. We did a walk-through both at the beginning and end of the project, the latter outlining all the things the team did. One of the most pleasant experiences with a contractor I've ever had. I would not hesitate to hire them again-they are a great crew!"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Embarking on a kitchen demolition comes with its share of risks to keep in mind. Think of potential encounters with asbestos, sharp objects, and power tools—not to mention the peril of structures wobbling or unexpected plumbing surprises. And, of course, you will be surrounded by dust and debris throughout the process. All of the above makes safety gear necessary, or you can consider hiring a qualified professional.

The best way to remove lead paint is by wet hand sanding and removing all dust and residue with a HEPA vacuum. Professionals may also strip and scrape lead-based paint with a paint scraper. In some cases, you may choose to have a pro encapsulate or enclose your lead-based paint surface by covering it with a sealant or a new material. You may also choose to replace the material altogether.

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a chance that any paint on your hardwood floors could be lead paint—especially if it was already there when you moved in. Because lead is toxic, hiring a licensed pro to remove it is mandatory. The average price for professional lead paint removal ranges from $1,500 to $5,300 and depends on the scope of the project.

If the lead paint is in a place that is not easily disturbed and is not flaking or deteriorating, you do not necessarily need to remove it. Lead is toxic when dust particles or flakes from peeling lead paint are ingested. If people are not in the area with the lead paint, it may be safe to leave it in place. You still may want to consider encapsulation with a paint formulated for covering lead-based paint, just for an added layer of protection.

You may see specialty products for sale to remove lead dust, such as D-Lead surface wipes. But you do not need to buy a special cleaner just for lead dust. A regular all-purpose cleaner, like 409 or something similar, is sufficient for cleanup. Just make sure to follow the manufacturer's directions when using it and to dilute with water.
