The paving stones are beautiful! We have 2 water fountains that we wanted to spotlight. Ricardo designed a curving, raised second tier across the back fence line. The water fountains sit up on that raised tier in each corner and are surrounded by container plants. The project turned out great - better than we could have imagined. In the paved area, there is an underground catch basin for underground drainage out to the front street. Ricardo's crew cut paving stones to place over the catch basin's grate. The way the stone were cut just didn't look quite right. We thought about it for a few days but we were not comfortable with how it looked. We contacted Ricardo and he was very responsive. He sent a crew back out and they re-cut stones for over the grate which we appreciate. It looks wonderful now! Ricardo and his crew were all very nice, professional, timely and responsive to our requests. They did a great job and we couldn't be more pleased. They drilled a hole under the walkway on the northwest corner of the walkway to run a pipe along a trench to the middle of the yard along the fence where another deeper gravel pit was established about 25' from the house. The pipe was then extended to the border of my property (another 25') ending in another overflow gravel pit. To catch all the water running from the roof of my 20x20' patio, both gutter downspouts were connected to a pipe laid at a right angle to the pipe along the fence. It took about a week to complete all the work and I am happy to report that during past rain storms no water entered my garage. The work was done very professionally. Mr. Hebert is very good in explaining things. He and his helpers are very friendly and their good work is very much appreciated. Mr. Hebert did not use heavy equipment and the project involved a lot of digging. However, he took great care of my sprinkler system pipes and electrical wiring system, which were in the pass of the work. He cleaned up any debris and took it away. I would refer Mr. Hebert for similar work. My yard was left tidy each day. Anyone who's seen the work has commented on how good it looks. Nothing was a hassle or to hard. It really seemed like everything was included...no hidden fees along the way. I have had a lot of contractors in and around our house over the last year, and this is the first time I feel I can write about a positive experience from start to finish. I would use them again and I will recommended them to all my friends. Thank you Hou-stone!

What he failed to mention is that this is NOT something he usually does. The final product was so bad that I demanded that he come back to redo it. His workers told me that he was rushing them to complete the job whenever I was out of earshot. Even though he came back and re-did the job, it still looks terrible. He did not account for the height of the edging material and the gravel and sand have spilled over into our driveway so that there is are empty spaces between the flagstone pieces. This is an embarrassment to us as our neighbors' flower beds are obviously professionally done while ours look like a DIY project gone wrong. We now have to pay a professional to fix Mr. Ermis' "work." After spending $630, this is certainly no small thing.
UPDATE: In September 2012, someone walked up our driveway, removed a stone from the flag stone border Mr. Ermis' men had installed, and threw it down a grate in front of our home. We live in a small, gated community where it is difficult to just walk in and vandalize property. No one else in the neighborhood reported any issues that day. So, it seems our property was targeted. Coincidentally, Mr. Ermis and his men were working in our community that very day. I filled out her history, including her bladder stones, UTI, etc. In the 4+ months that I've had her, she hasn't had a seizure. I spoke with a tech who said they wanted to hold her overnight and monitor her. The estimate included a cather, lodging, a exam, blood work, seizure meds, and a misc fee related to seizures. I asked about the seizures meds, I was told she wouldn't be given any if she didn't have any more. I left her there around 4:30 pm 06/15/10.I call at about 11:15 am 06/16/10 to check on her. They said that she hasn't had any and that she is doing well, eating, etc. No vomiting or uncontrolled defecating. I asked about the bloodwork, they said her WBC were a little high, but it could be explained due to the stressful event. About 3:30, Dr. Seely called explaining that he had given her an US and discovered bladder stones and an another mass in her bladder and that he was sending it out. I reminded him that I already knew about the stones. I call right back. I ask why didnt he ask me if I wanted an ultrasound perfromed while they had me on the phone. He didn't give a really straight answer. I asked how much it was, he said $50. I asked for the total (I had already paid $600, based upon the estimate). He said that he couldnt, but the nurses would and call me back. They never did.I came to pick her up at 5:50pm. I told the nurse I was uncomfortable signing the discharge papers, let alone the invoice, she retrieved Dr. Cornelius. She walked in, we shook hands and she said to me, I hear there's a problem with Sasha. I said, no, just her invoice. I begin to explain. She explains to me that Dr. Seely did the urinalysis to be sure (?), and he did an additional one at no charge (?) because he just wasnt certain, because she didnt show any crystals. I explained on the chart that she had a history of stones/UTI (including SEVERAL urinalyses) and I also included her vet info. Why not just callthem ?Then she explains that because of the results, he did the US. While I am glad that I know there is a \"mass\", the clinic had ample time to contact me and ask permission. I had talked to them only hours prior and that said she was doing great. She shrugs her shoulders. I tell her while I know she doesnt care...she cuts me off, raises her voice and says that her 4 years in school should prove that she cares. I tell her that I dont appreciate her tone with me. I ask why she was given the meds for the seizures if she didnt have them, she said to me point blank, because shes going to have them again. I was like, do you know what's causing them? She said, no. I asked, well how do you know that she will have them again? She says we think its cancer or a lesion in her brain. This is VERY new information to me. I ask her, do you have any dogs? She says, two. I said, how would you feel if a vet did things w/o consent. She says she would be upset.Then she angrily asks what she can do to fix it."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/houston/vergi-reviews-479071.htm"},"position":10}]}

Our specialty is pouring concrete, repairing damaged or disapproved/non-functional concrete. We stand out from our competitors due to our responsibility of providing the correct information, better options, accurate numbers, satisfying and proper work. We don't cut corners or order cheaper material to pocket more money unlike other competitors as that would lead to unprofessional workmanship and disapproved and non-functional structure. My father started out working as a masonry worker and specialized in brick work. He later transitioned to concrete work and gathered enough knowledge to know this craftsmanship. After 25 years of house construction and remodeling and 10 years of concrete work, we started to expand with our recommendations and reviews. Our competitors not only leave customers with future problems but ignore their concerns. We make sure we don't problems for our customers and if a concer arises we will make sure we take that stress of our customers and fix the problem to complete satisfaction.

"Needed to find someone to complete some huge tasks in short period of time; and without breaking my budget. Word of mouth, I'd gotten some great reviews from some neighbors and friends of mine regarding this local company. I explained my situation, and how I needed this work completed pretty quickly since I was getting ready to travel. They sent a very friendly representative that same day whom provided me with some great ideas on how to save some money, was will to work within my budget, and provided a free quote. I quickly scheduled them for that week, and they came through for me in a big way. Their team was very professional, they cleaned-up after themselves, and I was left with peace of mind before I needed to leave. Great crew; will definitely call them back if I should get more work for them."

"Pros: 1516’s workers and subcontractors did an outstanding job. They were super friendly and always asked us how things looked and even had inside jokes with my husband. We are so pleased with the look of our new patio. I would highly recommend Master Electric who was their electrical subcontractor. Very nice people and got their work done quickly! Cons: In short, we are extremely displeased with the owner, Erik, and how he treated us with disrespect, belittlement, and lack of professionalism. This is where the 1 star rating comes from. If you want more details, please continue reading below. Unfortunately, we did not feel this same way regarding the owner of 1516 (Erik). At our first meeting, everything went over smoothly. It was like the honeymoon phase of remodeling. I told him everything I wanted: new patio cover, privacy wall, and wrought iron fencing around the patio to keep the dogs in, and he said he could do it all! When we received the proposal, we noticed the measurements were off on the patio cover. All our other bids along with the plot survey said 16X20, but 1516’s stated it was a 16X17. Of course we brought this up to both Erik and his wife, Kris, because we didn’t want a short patio, especially since engineers get involved for the building. We begged Erik to come out and re-measure. He assured us his measurements were correct and he told my husband he didn’t trust other people’s measurements. After awhile, he finally agreed to come re-measure but told us that he would cover the cost if it was wrong since it was his mistake. We didn’t even ask him to cover the difference, so we were in shock but he assured us that the measurements were right. Sure enough, a week later he showed up and re-measured and he was wrong. It was 16X20. Sooo sorry for this novel but this is where we started being treated unfairly. Once the material was delivered for the cover, we started asking Erik for pictures of the privacy wall and wrought iron fencing that was going to be put in since no “specific details” were in the proposal regarding these two line items. He started getting very short with my husband, wouldn’t provide details, ignored his phone calls & texts, and would just show up without even letting us know he was here. I even called his wife, Kris, to ask if we had done something wrong and she said he was just stressed but loved working with us. He did ask us to pay extra for part of the privacy wall for materials, even though no details were specified in the proposal on what the wall would look like, what material would be used, height, etc. We were told that he had already estimated the cost of materials and labor and that our extra addition was not part of his plan. I was a little irritated because we were paying for this patio remodel, which I would think we would get to pick out what we want our patio to look like not him. As for the wrought iron fence, we had told him earlier on that it would need some type of dog barrier because we have a 10 lb dog that could easily fit thru. When we started suggesting ordering a custom fence, he threatened us that if we went custom, he would decline the fence portion of the job. The only reason why he accepted it was because we wanted the patio cover. We immediately just went with what was easier for him because we wanted the job done. On the last day of the patio cover remodel, we had asked Erik if he could have his guys come back out because 1) they had put footprints in the concrete parts around the columns and 2) our vinyl siding was missing J channeling on the new addition and didn’t flow well from the original part of the house. We also found out later that day that his workers had cut and capped the wires to our existing floodlight so it was no longer operational (Erik even confirmed this was true). A few hours after sending that text with the mistakes that should be fixed, we received an unpleasant text from Erik. He immediately rejected the fence portion of our proposal saying he was not doing it anymore, wanted the final check, and was done with us. He said we were super ungrateful because he had given us so much from quoting us a 16X17 patio, which was really a 16X20 patio, even though from the beginning, he said he would cover that measurement mistake. We had no idea that weeks down the road, this was going to bite us in the butt. We never once had asked him to cover it. He made that call. And we had no idea that asking his workers to come back to fix a few mistakes/errors was going to end in an uproar. He threatened us saying he was going to turn us in to a collection agency if we didn’t pay him the last check for the patio. We never once said we weren’t going to pay his workers for the outstanding job they did. He told us that our patio slab was already cracked and ugly so why would a few footprints matter. As for the J Channeling, he said the inspector didn’t say anything so we wasn’t going to cover that. And as for the floodlight, he wasn’t going to pay the electrician to come back out. Here is his exact response, “Partner, if you’re willing to pay the my standard rate of $40 a square ft on a 16X20, you can have me back for 1 whole day addressing every obstacle brought forward today: concrete, “c” flashings, & even flood lights not in my contract.” Erik was very disrespectful in every text message, belittled us, and reminded us how unimportant we were by constantly telling us he had bigger and more important jobs in the Seabrook area, like his $76,000 patio cover project plus that he made $4 million in sales last year, so he was pretty sure he knew what he was doing. It hurts my heart knowing that a company whose title is 1516 (after the Acts 1516 verse) could treat other people this way. My husband and I have saved copies of all the emails and text messages of Erik’s awful behavior. He wouldn’t answer his phone or come talk to us in person, but persisted that it be by text to record everything. His tone was scary, his words were hurtful, and there was no reasoning with him. My husband stayed very professional and respectful through the whole conversation and was still disrespected with every text that Erik sent back. We paid Erik for all the work his contractors & subcontractors completed, but were left with an incomplete patio project aka the wrought iron fence and the 3 mistakes we wanted fixed. We have had several projects completed on our home, such as, new plumbing, upgraded kitchen, drainage system, new floors, and much more, and have never dealt with someone like Erik."

FAQs for stone and gravel service projects in Winnie, TX
The average cost of a gravel driveway is about $1.25 to $2 per square foot, including the cost of materials, equipment, and professional installation. For example, a 16-by-30-foot driveway costs about $1,500. Cost factors include the type of gravel, how thick the gravel is installed, the condition of the landscape, and labor costs. Overall costs will vary depending on where you live and how accessible the job site is.
Because gravel moves, it requires different maintenance than asphalt or concrete. Here are a few maintenance tips for your gravel driveway. Every few years (or as often as needed):
A gravel driveway should last for up to 100 years with proper upkeep, which is minimal. Maintaining a gravel driveway includes grading and adding fresh gravel to fill in potholes. Otherwise, a gravel driveway holds up well to all kinds of weather. Plowing in the winter can be challenging and the gravel can develop ruts or potholes that need to be repaired, but the cost and longevity of gravel compared to concrete, asphalt, and pavers makes gravel an economical option, especially for long and/or wide driveways.
A gravel driveway should be at least 4 to 6 inches deep, depending on the soil it’s installed on. Softer soil that doesn’t drain well should have a deeper gravel driveway. Deeper gravel will mean you spend more on materials and labor, but you’ll get a more stable driveway and avoid damage that needs to be filled or graded flat again.
