Total Finish Floors

Horribly. I had my terrazzo floors supposedly diamond sanded to the tune of more than $3,000.00. The results were nothing like the results depicted in “before and after” photos here. My floors were clean , but they still looked pretty much the same as before. I was disappointed, but didn’t make a fuss. However, in the 3-4 weeks since Total Finish treated my floors, large numbers of deep holes have been appearing in my floor, as if it is disintegrating. This morning so many new holes appeared that I called Lorenzo in a panic. He came by this evening and before even getting from the front door to the living room (while he was still in the entryway), declared that the damage had already been there (even before seeing all of the damage). He then implied that I was lying. I immediately called the realtor and former homeowner IN FRONT of Lorenzo. When the former owner confirmed that the floors were not damaged at the time of sale, Lorenzo again insinuated that I was lying, implying that I wasn’t actually talking to the former owner. I then texted several other witnesses who confirmed the previous condition of my floors, yet Lorenzo refused to even consider that they might have caused the damage. The fact that he appeared to abdicate all responsibility before even seeing the extent of the damage, as well as calling me a liar, was disappointing. This is not the way a decent, honorable, honest, and ethical company does business. I am a nurse and work hard for my money. I don’t have $3500 to flush down the drain and then pay even more to fix the damage this company caused. He then sent me a partial video in which the guys who actually worked on the floors appear to complain about not being tipped? Regardless, the video does not depict the damage I am complaining of, nor did Lorenzo even examine the damage! This is not the way our fathers did business.

Lorenzo was quick to connect with me when I asked for a quote On Angie’s list. He was professional and very friendly. He gave me a preliminary estimate and then when he came to my home to measure I realized that there would be a little more sq ft than I had anticipated. Lorenzo kept the original quote and didn’t include the extra sq ft. He came the next day with his team and finished all the work. Cleaned and sealed ceramic tile floors, granite, bathtub tile, and backsplash. It was a very reasonable quote and far cheaper than the other quotes I had received. I would recommend Lorenzo and his crew for honest and great work!

Lorenzo and his crew from Total Finish Floors did a beautiful job on my 1960s terrazzo and porcelain tile that flooded during Harvey as well as my granite counter top. My terrazzo was stained and dull from both years of use and several days of flood waters - it is now so beautiful and shiny, it looks like polished marble as it was intended! The porcelain tile has been cleaned to remove all traces of Harvey. Leon, Stewart and Otis were great to work with - they were on time and worked very long days to get all my floors beautiful again. They went above and beyond by moving heavy items that we were not able to move ourselves. I would absolutely use Total Finish Floors again and recommend them to anyone needing work on their stone or tile.

Lorenzo, the owner did our job personally, and we were very pleased with the outcome. He explained every step as he completed the process, and even recommended products that we could use to maintain the new finish. Will use again, as we have a lot of natural stone flooring in our home!

Stewart is not only extremely knowledgeable about all floor surfaces, but just the nicest guy to have come to your home. He is what makes this company so great.

We contracted with Total Finish Floors to stain our concrete floors with a gray concrete stain and refinish a flagstone floor in our mid-century ranch house. Unfortunately, we encountered several complications that left us with a less than desirable outcome. Stewart from Total Finish Floors wrote our quote and began work a few weeks later. He started with stripping our concrete of carpet glue and cleaning up the old paint drips with lacquer thinner. He then taped up the walls to begin staining. This is where things begin to go wrong. He puts on the gray concrete stain and I go look at it and it is almost black. I had asked for concrete gray look and showed numerous pictures of what was requested, which he felt he could deliver. He tried again and again to fix it over the course of several days to no avail. The floor kept looking “paint-rolled” and uneven, almost as if it had racing stripes in it. Around 6-7 days into a job projected to be around 3 days, Stewart brought in a specialist from another company to make the concrete floors look right. I understand that not all concrete is as easy to stain as others, but this experience was a little extreme. The flagstone floor was even less successful. Stewart was out while his helper was cleaning the floors. The helper forgot to cover our walnut veneered walls and splattered green cleaning solvent across the bottom of these floors, ruining the finish. Total Finish Floors has insurance and worked with us to quickly resolve the matter.

Unfortunately things did not go as well for us as written by other clients.  We wanted our Terrazzo tile foyer cleaned, grind, sealed, high polish.  When we spoke to Lorenzo he assured us that was what we would be getting.  The tech came out and when we talked about the floor and what was being done, he told us he was not going to grind the tile smooth just clean, seal and it would have a polish.  We told the tech we hired this company because of the before and after pictures on the website, and we wanted the floor to look like that.  The tech informed us that he had never seen the company website so he could not really see what we meant.  I do not think the tech had the right equipment with him to do the job we wanted and did the best he could, but not what was suppose have been done.  They offered to lower the price in lieu of us not being completely satisfied, but it was not the price difference we wanted, we wanted the high polish glass like shine and did not get it.  We were hoping the owner (Lorenzo) would call to talk about our unhappy experience, but he did not.  The tech was very professional, so, even though we did not get the service we wanted and expected, in no way are we discouraging anyone else from doing business with this company.

The guys were very professional and polite.  They cleaned up everything before they left. We are very satisfied.

They did a great job and I'm very pleased with the results. The team was very professional, on time, and even stayed late to get the job done. I called to set up an appointment and they were able to come out the next morning to give me a quote for the work, and then scheduled me for the next day. They originally thought the job could be completed in one day, but the fixes were more extensive than estimated so it ended up taking a couple of days. Despite the extra work, I was charged the original quoted price. I would definitely hire them again!

Lorenzo and his Team were Amazing.  They were professional, punctual, beyond thorough, polite, mindful of moving all furniture and replacing to original locations without damaging anything!  Very hard working team, who came in and gave a bid, and performed all the work above and beyond our expectation.  We would Highly recommend him and will definitely use his services in the future!

Lorenzo and his team were excellent.  I contacted him a few days earlier about using low VOC products as we have very small kids in the house (it's better for everyone, but especially kids!) and he was more than happy to discuss and accommodate my requests.  They were punctual, worked hard and were honest in the pricing.  My floors look wonderful and my granite looks amazing, especially after the repair AND sealing.  It was also so nice to come back to the house after the work was done and find there was pretty much no smell in the house.  I highly recommend Total Finish Floors!

I researched the stripping and cleaning of Saltillo since I knew that this was sometimes a difficult tile to work with.  I had 5 bids and they all seemed to be trying to lower my expectations.  Then I called Lorenzo?.he was the exact opposite.  He was confident that he could do the work and carefully explained in detail how the job would be handled.  His crew, especially Stewart was very professional  and they all were courteous and careful.  They finished as expected and were constantly checking with me on the results.  Stewart even returned the day after they were finished to put some final touches at no extra charge.   Would highly recommend  Total Finish Floors to anybody needing this type of work.

Lorenzo was on time, and followed up to make sure work was finished as promised.  It took 2 days to clean and seal the slate.  I'm not a big fan of having strangers in my house for long periods of time, using my bathroom & microwave, and the smell of the cleaner & sealer were strong, (as to be expected)  but when the work was complete, I loved the results!

We have been in our new home for just over two years.  We have been dissatisfied with the workmanship that our builder Richard Price Custom Homes did on the master bathroom marble floor.  We decided to not wake up every morning and get mad at the poor workmanship.  So we contacted Lorenzo at Total Finished Floors.  He came out on a Saturday and gave us a bid.  We approved the Job on the following Tuesday.  They completed the work on Wednesday. They did an amazing job.  Just like it should have been done in the first place.  The two gentlemen who did the work had many years of experience and it was also clear to us how honest and professional they were.
