"Soto did my backyard landscape. First they trimmed my trees and a week later they came in and rotor tilted my backyard, put in new dirt and installed St Augustine grass . They also put in a rocks garden. They are bringing in river stones for my garden and they are putting river rocks alone my backyard fence. I have three neighbors and two friends that will be working with Soto in the future. My yard looks the best it has in 20 years."

"George and his crew did an AMAZING job. I had started the project, but due to an injury I wasn't able to complete it. Lone Star came out the same day (on time) for an estimate and then showed up the next day (on time) and knocked the project out. They also picked up some extra plants on their lunch hour for us. They took our ideas and brought them to life. I've already asked for estimates for some additional work. Highly reccommend this group!!!"

Small jobs welcome

"Decided to take a chance on this new company to remove kitchen appliances that were taking up space in my garage. This is a veteran owned, second generation enlisted Navy business. The prices were fair and the service prompt. Aaron picked up the items and took them to their donation destination. I would recommend this company to anyone that needs moving or removal services."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a chance that any paint on your hardwood floors could be lead paint—especially if it was already there when you moved in. Because lead is toxic, hiring a licensed pro to remove it is mandatory. The average price for professional lead paint removal ranges from $1,500 to $5,300 and depends on the scope of the project.

No. Standard homeowners insurance does not cover any kind of lead remediation, focusing instead on sudden, unpreventable events like fires and theft. Many insurance companies will specifically exclude lead paint removal, since it tends to be an expensive and unavoidable project. The exception is if the lead surface is damaged during a covered event (like a flood) and homeowners insurance pays its replacement.

If the lead paint is in a place that is not easily disturbed and is not flaking or deteriorating, you do not necessarily need to remove it. Lead is toxic when dust particles or flakes from peeling lead paint are ingested. If people are not in the area with the lead paint, it may be safe to leave it in place. You still may want to consider encapsulation with a paint formulated for covering lead-based paint, just for an added layer of protection.

Exterior paint contains a higher level of VOCs, which can be dangerous if you’re exposed to it for a long period of time. The good news is that paint’s toxicity reduces significantly once fully dried and cured. Do not keep open exterior paint cans in your home, basement, or garage, exposing your household to harmful chemicals over time.

It is safe to remove old linoleum, but it may require the help of a specialist due to the risk of asbestos in the material. Before you cut into linoleum or try to peel it up, have it tested for asbestos. If it tests positive, professionals will need to remove it to prevent the risk of health issues from airborne toxic particles. If it’s asbestos-free, DIY removal is possible and safe.
