"Good Morrow did a wonderful job on taking out my trees, you can't even tell the trees were there, they were very nice, and they did the job on a very timely manner, they cleaned up their mess, and I would definitely use good morrow again if I had to take any more trees out."

"We had a very windy thunderstorm which split the trunk vertically leaving large branches hanging over the street and sidewalk ready to fall if we got another strong wind. I went to Home Advisor and placed an emergency request for a quote from a tree service company, asap. I received a call from Antonio within seven to ten minutes and he was at my house about forty minutes later. After agreeing on a price Antonio and his crews showed up at 8:30 the next morning cut down the old tree and removed the stump and hauled away everything from our yard. They worked very efficiently together and I was impressed with how they handled what could have been a dangerous situation. I'll be recommending AP Tree services to anyone mentioning tree issues for sure!"

"Oscar is courteous, polite, and he / crew do and excellent job. I had a huge dead pine tree with falling limbs and bark to remove ( buzzard hangout spot). They also cut down a smaller Locust tree. Hauled everything away. They are safe, clean up was good. They definitely have the skills to do the work. Highly recommend"

"Wow these guys did a great job. They charged a very decent price. They did the job quickly. I am very pleased with the job performed. I should have taken a before and after but the tree used to touch both houses and it covered the street lamp and the parking area in front the house. now, all those areas are clear and we still have shade on our house early in the day. Great Job!!!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Trimming a tree can take anywhere from just two hours to a full day, depending on the age of the tree, the number of trees, and the species. Young trees are generally easier to trim, as their branches are often thinner in diameter and easier to reach compared to mature trees. They also tend to be healthier. If you haven’t trimmed your trees before or it’s been a while, the process could take even longer.

After a big storm, you may not be sure if a tree was struck or not. Look for the telltale long scars, like strips or gouges in the bark of the tree, running in sometimes jagged lines down the length of the trunk. These scars will often show vulnerable living wood inside the tree. It’s also common to see scorched or wilted leaves on the side or top of the tree where lightning struck.

It depends on the type of tree. Typically, late spring on the cusp of winter is ideal for trees about to emerge from dormancy and produce new buds. That said, late fall is ideal for certain deciduous trees prone to bleeding sap. Avoid trimming trees in early spring, when they’re prone to disease.

Planting trees far enough from your foundation will protect your home from root damage, but if you’re dealing with existing trees, you can still guard against roots. Root barriers form a physical boundary that will prevent roots from encroaching on your foundation and can help save you from expensive foundation repair costs.

The average lifespan of an oak tree is 100 to 300 years, so long as it isn’t impacted by diseases like sudden oak death. Some species will last shorter or longer, depending on where you live.
