"After cleaning & sanitizing, one of the air ducts was emitting particulates. We demanded that that the contractor return & redo that particular air duct. Also, the stand to one of the roof-mounted condenser units was obviously mounted crooked. The contractor & owner returned to correct the problem. StarTech accommodated our schedules and installation preferences & completed the project on time. However, since the installation it seems that StarTech has been nonresponsive or slow to respond to certain items of concern. Items of concern: 1) StarTech for the longest time did not provide us with a final invoice detailing the items/services purchased along with the maintenance agreement. It wasn't until the first cold weather when we weren't able to turn the heat on, that StarTech sent a technician. I reminded StarTech of the invoice & finally one was provided to us. 2) Early on, the switch to one of the condensate pumps would be stuck in the "On" position and I was concerned that the motor would over heat & burn out. My call was to StarTech went unheeded. 3) The location of the condensate pumps interfere with the routine maintenance of cleaning of the filters. When I explained this to the HVAC technician, he said that he would acquire some materials to install longer hoses & electrical cords that would allow us to safely move condensate pumps out of the way during maintenance. To date, this task has not been accomplished, nor have we been contacted. Summary: StarTech completed the project satisfactorily and accommodated our needs. The company's lack of attention to details & lack of customer service resulted with us giving the company this average rating."

"These guys are great! Scott, one of the co-owners was the one that came to our home to do the quote on a new AC. It was far less than the other quotes I got. They were able to schedule the install the next day. Keep in mind it is April and not July. Install tech David was on time and assisted by the other co-owner John. It was a fast and easy experience to get an AC unit installed."

"Sometime in August, my old Master cool died; I called around looking for someone who could do the job and finance it, since I was very short on cash. I called several companies listed here, and the prices ranged from $1200 to $2400 for the small (4500 CFM) unit When I called Bruce, he told me he was on his way to Chaparral,NM, But that he would stop by and check it. After he inspected it, he told me that it needed to be replaced.I asked if he financed and he said no, only refrigeration jobs. I told him that I was strapped for money, and wanted to know how much he'll charge just for the installation. I was going to get an Arctic Cool on credit and wanted him to install it. He told me: "Buddy, I have a used Master Cool, the same size as yours, it's used but in good condition. Can you do $700?, I'll install it and guarantee that you'll have no problems" I agree to the price and then he asked me how I cooled my Master bedroom.(a garage conversion). I told him that I only had that one unit to the whole house.He said "There's no way that your bedroom is cool! If you can do $800, I'll get you a 6500 CFM unit. You'll be getting cold with that one." I got the bigger cooler, but about a month later the motor stopped working; I bought a new one but I was unable to install it. I called Bruce, explained to him what happened and the following day he sent his crew to fix it. It turned out that they needed a new pulley and a new V-belt. When my wife asked how much was owed, they said it's nothing. The first time I met Bruce, and told him how much other people were charging; he told me: "Buddy, there's people making a killing in this business, I like to make a living. We are here to help and look after each other, and that's what I do." This man is a walking blessing to those who have had the opportunity to meet him. I will always recommend him to anyone. "Jim did a great job. He quickly assessed the problem and then took our unit with him to work on it more. When he got back to us, the fix would have cost more than it was worth. He gave us options for a new or refurbished PC. We felt the refurbished was a good deal and chose that. He came back and set that up and we are very happy with it. He then took a look at my laptop and again took it along. He tuned it up and installed a speed upgrade we wanted. Of course, we paid extra for the new unit and upgrades, but we thought the price was very fair. Jim seemed very knowledgeable and responsive. We will definitely call him again if we need any computer services."
