"Called Mike for heater outage, 66⁰F in house in bright sunlight. He was on another job but gave us a time estimate, then revised it to give us an updated arrival. Brought in worn parts to explain what happened, noticed that cooler is missing drain pieces & suggested we call him before using refrigerated AC. Heater is working now, and we are SO GRATEFUL for Mike coming out same-day!"

"Jamie came over to inspect both the water heater and swamp cooler, he was able to replace and install water the same day. The cooler took a few days longer. The job was done professionally and they were able to answer any concerns. Will always use Union plumbing for my plumbing needs."

"We were extremely satisfied with the scheduling and workmanship. Alan told us from the start that he would schedule us only when he could devote himself and his workers to our home until it was completed. Alan was true to his word. The cost of the project and add ons was very reasonable and the quality of workmanship was unsurpassed.
Even with the best design ideas that we had, Alan and his skilled crew were able to advise us of better alternatives many times that left us with a kitchen that is not only beautiful but far more functional than our old one.
Alan has the most pleasant, trustworthy workers. They arrived at 8 am, went to lunch from 12-1 and left at 4 pm.
We have already decided on future projects for Alan to do at his convenience.
We experienced a nightmare of a kitchen remodel in our old home fifteen years ago, and vowed this time to watch the workers like a hawk. By the second day and many times thereafter, we left our home knowing we were in good hands.  The entire experience was actually fun because of the great sense of humor that Alan and his workers have.

"Frank contacted me right away and drove to my house right away. He was able to remove the old water heater to prevent the leaking. He came the next day to install the water heater. Everything came out great. He is friendly and nice."

"SC Remodeling started the project on time, worked at it diligently and was willing to make changes and additions to the plans. Their work was top notch. The workers were professional, polite and agreeable at all times. Juan designed a bird avery that is outstanding based on my telling him what I needed for my birds. He is very good at listening to the customers needs and providing helpful suggestions with both design and materials that will get the job done to our satisfaction. The office provided a detailed estimate of the costs and allowed a reasonable payment schedule of 4 payments before, during and the final payment."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Yes. Boilers need water to run without overheating, also known as dry firing. If you run it without a sufficient volume of water, either because of a burst pipe or a leak, you run the risk of damaging your machine or jeopardizing the safety of your home as a whole. When in doubt, shut off your boiler and repair any plumbing issues before turning it back on. Alternatively, consider installing a low-water cutoff (LWCO) before any issues arise. This gadget will protect your boiler by monitoring water levels and automatically shutting it off if it gets too low.

A furnace takes in cool air, heats it through the burner and heat exchanger, and sends the air on its way to warm your home. A boiler is a pressurized vessel that produces hot water or steam to heat the home and provide hot water. A boiler may or may not work together with a furnace.

Costs depend on unit size, labor, fuel type, and whether additional piping or venting is needed.

Most experts recommend getting three to five HVAC quotes from licensed, insured, reputable local heating and cooling companies. Getting multiple detailed HVAC quotes (but not too many) lets you compare the equipment, services, and prices of several contractors without being overwhelmed by options. It can also let you see if one contractor’s prices are much higher or lower than the others and give you a chance to ask for clarification. That way, you can weed out any contractors who aren’t providing quality services or materials and find the company that best meets your budget, quality requirements, and long-term goals.

Yes, government incentives and programs are available to encourage energy-efficient upgrades in many regions. These incentives may include tax credits, rebates, grants, and low-interest loans for homeowners who invest in energy-efficient improvements such as HVAC system upgrades, insulation, and efficient windows. The availability and specific details of these incentives can vary by location, so check with your local government or utility company to explore your options.
