"HQ-Builders, LLC are a father, son and grandson business who have done remarkably good work on my house over 22 years, to include an addition, new roof, painting the interior and exterior of my home and most recently replacing 16 windows with new state-of-the-art windows while and overseeing sub-contractors' installation of refrigerated air. HQ-Builders show up when promised, perform outstanding work, charge exactly to the penny what was agreed upon, and demonstrate good humor when the customer changes her mind halfway through a project. I know the Bimberg family very well, count them as lifetime friends, have recommended them many associates with positive results every single time. I definitely recommend HQ-Builders to any home owner in need of repair or remodeling."

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"They did the job in 2 days! Second day we had hail, so Felix the boss is coming over to inspect work. He keeps in touch and if he can't, he'll have Brenda from the office reach out to me. When I was looking for estimates, the other companies didn't get back to me or didn't do free estimates, only Felix responded."

Siding questions, answered by experts

The cost to install or replace brick or stone siding generally ranges from $10 to $50 per square foot. The final price depends on several factors, including the specific material type, local labor rates, and any necessary preparation work, such as removing old siding. For example, different types of stone have varying costs per square foot: natural stone ($4.50–$35), stone veneer ($11–$13), faux stone ($6–$9), and cultured or manufactured stone ($5–$8).

While any dark color of vinyl is likely to fade, dark red and dark brown vinyl tend to fade faster and more noticeably compared with other dark colors. White is the color least likely to fade, but it will show stains, mildew, and dirt more prominently than darker colors.

Typically 1-2 days, depending on damage extent and panel availability.

Board and batten siding refers to the look and style of the installation rather than the material itself. You can install board and batten siding whether you choose vinyl, wood, fiber cement, or metal as your material. Among other popular siding styles to consider are clapboard siding, stucco, shake siding, and log cabin siding. Stone, stone veneer, brick, and brick veneer are considered high-end alternatives that can help maximize ROI and curb appeal.

You can put new siding over clapboards, but it’s not recommended. Some sidings, like vinyl siding, can go over clapboards with sheathing like a foam layer in between. However, it’s best to remove clapboard siding if you plan on replacing it with new siding. Burying wood clapboards underneath new siding can create risks of rot and mold, or hidden insect damage. It can also create warping issues over time. Removing clapboards allows you to properly install a new sheathing, as well as clean up the exterior wall and look for any signs of damage.
