Unique Designs contacted me within days of submitting my kitchen remodel project. Mr. Alan Pando scheduled a meeting to show us a selection of products to choose from. After choosing the cabinets and the countertop desired, we received a price quote that was more than reasonable and based on customer reviews for Unique Designs, we chose to enter into a contract. When the materials arrived, Alan and his team arrived on site to begin the demolition of the existing kitchen cabinets and countertop and the subsequent installation of the new cabinets, countertop, cook top stove, and under-cabinet exhaust hood. Alan's team members are great ambassadors for his company. They are professional, courteous and accommodating. At the end of each day, the area was left as neat and clean as possible. John and Ulysses showed up on time and worked consistently all day - everyday - until the job was finished. No one was called away to work on other jobs during the remodel. We contracted Unique Designs LLC to replace 2053 square feet of old carpet with tile. Alan Pando, the owner, walked us through the tile selection process, in which direction the wood plank tile would be installed for best eye appeal, removal of the existing carpet, prepping the surface, and installing the tile. Alan set hours between 8 AM and 3 PM Monday through Friday. His crew was on time, never late, and promptly left at 3 PM. Laying tile involves geometry, particularly on curved walls, prepping the surface such that the end result is smooth as silk, and minimizing waste. The complexity level of tiling multiple rooms meant we had to work sequentially emptying one room then moving to another – this was accomplished flawlessly. The crew – Javier, Ulysses, Terry, and John – were respectful and highly enjoyable to have in the home. They helped move very heavy furniture and a weight machine, cut the tile outside, and didn’t break anything. And they worked at a breakneck pace. The job was completed in 10 days. Since our slab had some surface cracks and was uneven in places grinding and patching had to be done. They took care to contain the very fine concrete dust, masking off rooms with sheet plastic as needed. This is our second major project with Unique as they also installed a custom range hood and new tile backsplash in our kitchen with equally appealing results. The guys work with some music (set at a nice level) which somehow always seemed to match what we like also, a bonus over listening to floor grinding and saw work. They also watched the fort while we made a few appointments in town, another bonus that allows our daily life to move on with minimal disruption, key when one is living in the home as it is remodeled. The resulting surface is level, linear, and accurate with no high edges or jagged cuts. Tile spacers insured the outcome would be perfect and the grouting was on the money as well. Given the complexity of working around our lives and the scope of the work we could not be more pleased.

The unique designs team installed kitchen cabinets in a kitchen remodel for us, and also tiled the surround of our fireplace. Both jobs were done with care - team members took pains to make sure all trim work was done in fine detail, asked for my input if they encountered any questions or obstacles, took time to talk through all my questions and concerns and left the job site clean at the end of each day. While working as the install subcontractors for a local tile/flooring/cabinets store, they even advocated on my behalf when one of the orders resulted in the wrong dimensions of a cabinet for a given space. We’re very happy with the end result of both jobs, and would readily bring them back for a third.

We hired Unique Design to remodel our kitchen as well as refinish ceilings and walls in other areas of our house. When I started the process with the owner, Alan Pando, I found him to be very personable, engaging and straight-forward. We worked through an itemized project work scope and he provided detailed pricing for each item of that work scope. When work started the crew showed up on time and worked to the defined stop time. Each day the work area was cleaned up prior to the workers leaving. The Unique Design personnel were very amicable and professional. They were always willing to work with us with things we needed to do in the normal conduct of our lives. From the time the work started until the time it ended, there were workers on the job every day of the work week. Early on, after the work had started, we decided that the floors needed to be redone. Not only did we want the floors redone in the existing work area but also in other areas of the house. Alan was very amenable to working with us on this new work scope. He quickly provided us with costing and he was able to make adjustments to accommodate the significant increase in schedule. Also, as with any big project, not all things go exactly as planned. Throughout the process Alan worked with us to make any necessary changes, adjustments and in some cases do overs. He and his crew were very attentive to detail and it was abundantly clear they wanted to make sure we were completely satisfied with all aspects of the work. We are ecstatic with our new kitchen and all the other work that was done. It is absolutely amazing. Alan was true to his word from beginning to end. His costs were exceedingly fair and he delivered everything he said he would and beyond. It was a real pleasure doing business with him. Alan is first and foremost honest, thorough, efficient and reliable. The results of our project exceeded our expectations. We have already made plans with Alan to complete some other projects that other companies screwed up. Having lived in Las Cruces as homeowners for almost 30 years we had all but given up on finding a contractor that a) follows through, b) responds quickly to every question or concern, and c) provides high quality services. It is so difficult to find a contractor who does exactly what he says he will do and has the customers' concerns as a priority. Alan provides all that and more ... and his workers are top notch. And the cost of our project was very fair. An excellent experience!

Mr. Pando was great. He was helpful in helping us figure out what we could do, giving us ideas, and what could work best for us. He was good with changes and provided quick feedback & answers when I had questions. The job took 2 weeks but was about 6 days of actual work. The workers were fantastic. They arrived every morning right at 8am. They worked quickly and were sure to clean up as they went along and at the end of the day. I'd never had work done that was so neat & clean. The floors looked fantastic. The cabinets were exactly what we wanted and were better than we expected. The quarts countertop was installed very quickly and is beautiful Everything fits perfectly and we've had zero problems. We also had 4 pot lights installed and a ceiling fan relocated. Again, Unique Design's work was quick and very clean. I really would recommend Mr. Pando and Unique Design. He and his workers were very polite, clean, and they did great work

Outstanding! Alan and his crew were very professional and easy to work with. They came to work on time, every day, worked diligently and the project was completed actually ahead of schedule. Communication was excellent. the quality of workmanship was top notch. I can't say enough good things about these guys. I definitely would, and probably will, hire them again for another project.

After getting two glowing recommendations from other pros, I called Alan and we were able to schedule an appointment very quickly at my home. He had great ideas and recommendations as we walked the job at my home. He was clear when he said it might take a little while to hear back since he’s very busy and we understood, of course, but now it’s 6 weeks later. Nothing. No call, no text, no email. I think it’s because I had already ordered my countertops but I don’t know because he never got back to me.

Alan was creative with solutions, always available and responsive, and went beyond my expectations - all while keeping the price much lower than other quotes.

He came well-recommended to us. He showed up on time, and did what he said he would do. The great thing about him is that he does it all, including the plumbing! We didn't have to set up an appointment to get everything else disconnected, and his price was better than everyone else we spoke with. He was there every day making sure the job was being done correctly, and coordinating everything. The end result is fantastic! We have no complaints whatsoever, as the job was done perfectly.

We experienced a nightmare of a kitchen remodel in our old home fifteen years ago, and vowed this time to watch the workers like a hawk. By the second day and many times thereafter, we left our home knowing we were in good hands.  The entire experience was actually fun because of the great sense of humor that Alan and his workers have.

Alan who runs the company is very responsive and also has excellent suggestions when you are not sure what you want.  Work began and proceeded daily other than some unexpected order delays.  Workers were polite and responsive and totally trusworthy as work needed to be done when no one was at home.  The results are stunning - a brand new kitchen.  This was also done at a cost below several other estimates and with quality materials such as the automatic soft-close kitchen drawers.
