"Mr. Morgan showed up and used tools to narrow where the leak was. As a first time home owner, and first time having plumbing issues. He took the time to explain the processes to fix the leak, and answer all my questions. He showed up on time to complete the project."

"Installed Lowe's cabinets: 5 wall cabinets, 3 base cabinets and 2 tall pantry cabinets. Redesigned existing soffit to make smaller and to flush with the front of the wall cabinets. Made existing kitchen opening 3 times bigger. Installed marble back splash, porcelain tile under base cabinets, appliances, rewire electrical for recessed lights and wall plugs. Smooth ceiling and wall finish. Redid sink plumbing. Each morning Alex would prep work area by covering floor and each afternoon clean work area. Very respectful and easy to work with."

"

Our Tech was Glenn, He called before coming and he arrived on time. He was very polite, professional and friendly. He went to work quickly

We have had slow drain in the kitchen sink since we move here 4yrs ago. Sink would back up and go into dishwasher. We could not run water in kitchen sink while the dishwasher was running without drains backing up. The Plumber came in undid the pipes under the sink and ran a plumbing snake through the pipes until he dislodged what ever had been causing the stoppage for all these years, reconnected all the pipes and did all this without causing a mess! Afterwards he checked to be sure all the pipes drained well. Removed his equipment and was gone in less than 30 min!! It was wonderful! The pipes never drained so well..

It is awesome to not have to worry about washing dishes and  not fearing another mess.

"We've hired Joe 3 times already. In the kitchen, he had to dis-connect the refrigerator in order to put down our new tile. When he re-connected it, he fixed the connection to the water line. Suddenly, the water dispenser was filling our glasses quickly. We didn't know it wasn't working as well as it should have! A's on all categories. We highly recommend and would hire again without looking for anyone else."

"Installation was great. The service guys were excellent. The salesperson left out a few important details such as the discounts we were able to eventually get and the communication between the service guys and the salesperson was lacking."

"Checked the entire house and water heater.? We discussed the water in depth, it would need to be replaced in the next year and it was 10 years old, at the end of it's life.? Adjusted all toilets and installed two new flappers, so the toilets don't run constantly and saves water.? Checked the shower and replaced the shower head.? We were entirely satisfied with the service."

"We found Prestigious Home Designs Remodeling on Angie's list.  We liked everything we read and the fact that most of Derek?s workers are long time employees.  I was not comfortable with the idea of having random sub-contractors in our home.
We also liked that Derek helps with colors and material selections.  Neither of us have an eye for this sort of thing.
Derek came out in February and we went over our wish list.  He gave us some great ideas and even recommended against some items (e.g. not necessary to refinish/replace kitchen cabinets).  Our wish list was bigger than our budget, so we started eliminating things and modifying others, with Derek's help.  Several ice storms delayed us getting to Dallas to look at  samples.  But we finally got to his shop and then later met at a couple of stores to finalize selections.  We liked everything he recommended.  Our remodel started on April 2.
Estimated time to complete was 4 - 6 weeks.  They sectioned off the house with plastic and we lived on one side while they worked on the other.  It was challenging for us and the workers, but it was manageable.  All of the employees were professional, polite, and respectful.  I never felt unsafe when I was here alone.  Carlos was our primary contact many days.  He
is a very hard worker and kept us updated on what was happening next (along with Derek's texts or phone calls).  Carlos is a jack of all trades.  He also gave us recommendations on where to put towel bars, cabinet pulls, etc.  (Husband ordered and replaced door handles, locks and cabinet pulls. We also ordered kitchen appliances and stored them until Derek installed them.)
Lights were added and some replaced with canned LED lights in living room and kitchen. Reading light is positioned perfectly above my reading chair.  LED lights were installed under upper kitchen cabinets.  They make an amazing difference.  Ceiling fans were replaced.

The project actually took about 12 1/2 weeks (twice as long as we thought it would take) because:

          • After work started, we decided it would look better if all of the baseboards were replaced.
          • Then everything was looking so good, we decided to re-do the spare bath.  (We could have made selections, but Derek volunteered to surprise us.  We are delighted with the result.)
            • There were days they could not work because they couldn't set up their saws outside due to lots of rain. (It rained 22 days out
            • of 31 in May, and it was the rainiest May since 1941!  (Bad luck for us ...).
            • Sometimes it was too humid to paint.
            • We found honey bees in a wall.  Delayed about a week waiting on bee keeper to come out.  Then Derek?s crew had to fix the wall and paint.
          • There was a manufacturing problem with the wood floor we selected and we had to re-order a different floor, which we like

The workers were very respectful regarding our cats.  They never opened a door where 2 inside cats were secured.  When they were driving in or out, they always looked for our outside cat to make sure he wouldn't get squished.  That meant more to us than they realize.  They were very respectful when they needed to come to "our side" of the house to use the restroom.  (We told Derek in advance that we didn't mind if they needed to use it.)
I felt like Derek worked to keep cost down as we added the baseboards and the spare bath.  Our punch list was purely
cosmetic and mostly paint related.  Everything was completed to our satisfaction.  Derek made final inspection on June 30 and we made our final payment.
A couple of weeks later, the glass door in the master shower slipped.  Called Derek and the glass man came out within a few hours.  Before he arrived, we showered in the spare bath and noticed a small leak around a bracket at the bottom of the glass.  He repaired it too, even though we had not notified Derek.
We love everything.  It?s like a totally new house.  It looks modern.  Derek looked at our home and intuitively knew what we would like.  We went with every recommendation he made.  The wood and tile floors are beautiful.  The lowering of the kitchen bar makes the kitchen/breakfast area look much more open and inviting.  The accent walls (living room, dining room and master bedroom) and all of the paint are perfect with everything else.  The accent wall makes the fireplace much more visible. Previously, it sort of disappeared into the wall.  The master shower looks and feels MUCH larger even thought it's the same size.  The custom cabinets in both bathrooms are beautiful and well made.  The spare bath looks much larger too.  All of the work is top quality.  We highly recommend this company.
I don't think I would ever want to do a remodel like this again, especially while living in the house, but if we did we would hire

"Excellent work by Brandon. He's a very hard worker and went above and beyond to complete the shower install. His experience and expertise in making suggestions for changes in the materials and style of the shower greatly improved what I had originally wanted. We are extremely happy with the completed project and would not hesitate to hire him again. He's highly recommended."

"On the shower, They made it easy on me and did a great job. Owner is great to work with. On air conditioning, I had 4 other companies come out to look at my unit that was running constantly and not cooling well. They charged me for wrong issues and didn’t fix it. Mr Callahan immediately figured out that the company that installed the new unit put in a valve backwards. I highly recommend them for air conditioning work. I will use them from now on."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

You’ll need a backsplash behind your pedestal sink in your bathroom. Because pedestal sinks mount directly to the wall and usually have smaller basins with narrow rims, it’s easier to splash and get water on the wall or floor. You’re better off having a backsplash while brushing your teeth or washing your hands.

Most faucets come with a rubber or plastic gasket that prevents leaks—but that’s not always the case. If your faucet doesn’t come with a gasket or it’s leaking, use a caulk gun to seal the gaps and prevent water damage.

Kitchen plumbing repairs range from simple to complex, with the costs reflecting that variety. Some repairs require a new part, while others call for replacing an entire appliance. For example, some of the most common kitchen plumbing repairs include:

  • Dishwasher: $75–$600

  • Garbage disposal: $75–$400

  • Ice maker water line: $100–$200

  • Kitchen sink clog: $100–$400

  • P-trap repair: $200–$325

The cost to pipe a sink depends on the location. Generally, you’ll spend somewhere from $150 to $500 installing plumbing under a kitchen sink and $200 to $800 installing plumbing under a bathroom sink. These costs could rise if you don’t have a plumbing hookup nearby and you have to reroute plumbing from outside of your kitchen or bathroom.

Hiring an emergency plumber is expensive because of the urgency and inconvenience, but there are a few things you can do to help keep costs down:

  • Minimize water damage by shutting off your water main

  • Clean up pooling water immediately to reduce damage and mold growth

  • Avoid using fixtures if you have a clog or septic system backup

  • Verify that your plumber is licensed before hiring

  • Call a few plumbers for estimates if you can afford a short delay in getting service
