"I?ve been using Prize Pest Control for ongoing pest control, and they?ve been great so far. The techs are friendly, always on time, and they let me know what they?re doing each visit. Since we started, I?ve noticed way fewer bugs around, and they?re good about checking in between visits if anything pops up. It?s nice having that peace of mind knowing the problem?s being handled. Definitely recommend them if you?re looking for regular pest control that actually works."

"Ive had pest/rodent problems for the last 6 months. Had 2 other companies come out , charge me an arm and a leg and it seems as tho the problem only worsened. Kenny was referred to me by a fella at Home Depot one day and I said what the heck , I'll give him a try . And I'm sure glad I did. Very professional , very informative , very knowledgeable and at a very competitive price . I'd highly recommend his services"

"My two little chihuahuas was going crazy over a corner behind shelf in our computer room. First i thought was a rat but with flashlight saw a small opossum. Not all pest control take that type of job. I called Wildlife Control and they transferred to M&M pest control in Plano. Mike was very patient while I told him my situation. He gave me a very reasonible quote and Mike and Irving came out the next day. Not only did I have a momma opossum she had 5 little babies attached. I wanted to make sure of their fate and was told they would go to live at a reserve that Wildlife Control has. I would recommend this company to any one for any service."

Small jobs welcome

"We have (had depending on when you read this) in our chimney. Our landlord wanted to block their entry / exit and let the babies die. We just wanted to re-home. We called another pest control service whose answer was "probably barn swallows, can't touch'em *click*". Tom Samples's reached out to us via Home Advisor and gave us all the information we needed to ensure that not only did the birds get to live a happy life, but how to watch for when they leave and how to make sure more don't come in. The tech on the phone was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. We will be reaching out again for any other pest control needs."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Moles live underground and feed on insects. They dig and move through tunnels, usually in meadows or forests but sometimes in lawns and gardens. They are about 6 inches long with large claws, tiny eyes, and hidden ears.

Shrews do not dig their own tunnels but will use other animals’ tunnels, and are about 3 to 4 inches long. They look similar to mice and feed on insects.

Voles are similar in size to moles but have large eyes and small but visible ears. Rather than eating insects, voles are herbivores that prefer seeds, grasses, and plant roots.

You may find fleas in your bed if they followed you there on your pet or your clothing. While they will need you or an animal as a host, they can hide in bedding since it is warm and out of sight. If you spot signs of fleas or see live fleas in your bed, hire a flea control specialist immediately to eradicate the infestation and prevent it from spreading further.

Ticks love conditions where humidity is 90% or higher, so most ticks will die within a few hours to a few days in the average climate-controlled house.

The primary attractant for moles is food. With a powerful sense of smell, they seek out grubs, earthworms, ants, and other insects in the soil. Other factors can also draw them in, such as moist, loose soil which makes tunneling easier, so an overwatered lawn can be an invitation. Additionally, male moles may enter your yard to expand their territory or find a mate, and if a neighbor has a mole problem, it's possible for them to tunnel over to your property.

The most effective natural roach repellent is Borax with its key ingredient of boric acid and diatomaceous earth. But some homeowners may not feel like these are “natural” enough, especially since you can’t use Borax around curious pets or toddlers.

On the other hand, studies have shown that oregano oil mixtures have some of the best repellent effects, and other research indicates that catnip oil, peppermint oil, and citrus oils have notable effects on keeping roaches away. Rosemary oil has been shown to be the most effective natural oil for killing cockroaches outright.
