We were billed $900.00 for 3 hours of work. This included digging a 22" deep hole, repairing a pvc pipe, and filling the hole up. About halfway through the job, the plumber informed me that the diagnosis fee ($244.00) would most likely be waived. However, at the end of the job he said that I would be charged the diagnosis fee after all because it was a "deep" hole. In his words, a "4 foot" hole. The hole actually was more like only 22" deep. They also did sloppy work with filling the hole in after the work was completed. Overall, we feel like we were overcharged considering the simple nature of the work that was completed. We were charged $344.00 for 2 men to dig a 22" deep by 18" across hole. In addition to a $244.00 "diagnosis fee", $228.00 to fix the pipe and a $79.00 dispatch fee. We contacted the company to answer our questions and spoke with Sandy. She informed us that she would have the owner contact us. They never attempted to reach out to us. I would not use this company again, or ever recommend them to anyone. (We know how deep the hole actually was because the City Utilities department informed us that we still had a leak after Holloway completed this repair and we dug the hole back up to make sure the repair wasn't leaking. The repair wasn't leaking, but at that point we did measure the depth/width of the hole and take pictures.) The plumber was courteous and prompt in showing up - "A". The office was not very quick to respond to calls to come back - "C". Installed a faucet for me and adjusted another - great job - "A". But after two visits they didn't fix (couldn't find) my main and worst problem which was a sewer...

It took several weeks to get the staff to install the pumps. Once installed, there leaks and electrical problems. My advice is to buy and install your fountain from them and then find someone else to install the electrical and plumbing to support the fountain.

"I had a problem with my AC and called them for a service appointment. John Wayne has a good reputation, so I chose to call them and they were quick to respond. The tech who came to my residence was very friendly and professional, however, he seemed more like a sales rep than a technician. After a few hours and $950 worth of work, he indicated that the HVAC system was not repairable. He created a quote for various options to install a new system. I had previously researched average costs for replacement of a 5 ton / 16 SEER system, which averaged approximately $9-10K for a reputable company with reliable brands. The first option the tech provided was for $40,600, which was a little surprising. He offered several options, with the cheapest being $10,700 for the lowest quality equipment and least warranty. He indicated that the primary difference between John Wayne and other companies is the quality and training of the employees. He also used typical sales techniques, such as “why would you feel different tomorrow” when I indicated that I’d prefer to think about the decisive overnight. During research online, I saw that John Wayne uses Amana products, which are a little more expensive but highly rated and manufactured here in Texas. I purchased a system one echelon higher than the lowest priced system for $13,700, still well-above what I was prepare to pay; however, the tech indicated that they would waive the outstanding $950 bill if I purchased the system and they would be able to install the next day. The next morning, four techs arrived, all pleasant and professional; however, only one appeared to be a trained technician, while the other three appeared to be labor for assisting and conducting menial tasks, such as cleaning the ducts. Within the first hour, two of them accidentally shattered several sconces on the chandelier in my dining room when a piece of equipment fell while cleaning a duct. They are still here in my house installing, but I truly feel like paid too much. Again, I don’t doubt that they are a solid company, but feel like was pressed by a salesman rather than a technician when I needed an urgent problem addressed. I believe I could’ve purchased just as good of a system, maybe better, from a reliable company for a few thousand dollars less."

"Working with Groundworks was wonderful from start to finish. It began with their sales team, Rich G, ensuring my old, quirky home had a customized and thorough solution, phased out to make the job more approachable. Rich took the time to understand my goals for the project and the nuances of my house even though that took significant time and multiple trips to my home. The installation crew (Jose N., Phil S., Diego A.) was professional, prompt and answered ALL of my questions. Their communication kept me informed every step of the way! When the job was completed, it looked like they had never been here - the yard and landscaping look untouched. I would definitely recommend Groundworks for anyone who needs to have their foundation worked on!"

FAQs for drain pipe installation projects in Poth, TX
The regulations around whether drain pipe installers need to hold licenses or certifications differ based on where you live and the type of drain pipe installed. Municipalities have varying rules and regulations about who can and can’t perform plumbing work. However, we recommend hiring a certified plumber to install or modify your drain lines. Licensed plumbers will perform a high-quality, professional installation, which translates to a lower risk of clogs and leaks in the future. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to confirm the license status of your potential plumber before hiring them to install your drain pipe.
The cost to install a drain pipe is $600 on average, but the total can range between $150 and $2,000. Some cost factors that influence your project price include the type of drain, the area’s accessibility, the proximity of existing drain lines, and whether you’re installing a new drain or replacing an old one. Replacing the p-trap or s-trap under a single fixture will usually cost around $150, while replacing a main drain pipe can cost well over $2,000.
Plumbers will typically take one to two hours to install a new drain pipe, but that timeline can vary based on the area’s accessibility, the drain length, and the type of drain line. Replacing an easily accessible p-trap under a sink could take as little as a half an hour, while replacing a larger section of drain line behind the wall could take as long as three to four hours. When hiring a plumber for your specific installation, ask them to provide an estimated timeline to get a more accurate assessment.
You might need a permit to modify or repair any portion of your plumbing system, including drainage lines, depending on where you live. In some areas, simple replacements of existing drain lines don’t require a permit. We recommend asking your drain pipe installer or your local building department about permitting requirements. In many cases, only certified plumbers can pull plumbing permits, so you’ll usually need to leave the permit application to your professional. The fee for the permit will be passed to you on your project bill, though.
We highly recommend leaving the work of replacing drain pipes to a professional plumber. Drain pipes are a key part of your plumbing system, and making mistakes during the installation or even using the wrong size pipes for your specific fixture can lead to an elevated risk of leaks and clogs. Additionally, drain pipes prevent harmful sewer gas from entering your home, so hiring a professional plumber is essential to keeping the risk of leaks and clogs low and avoid reducing your indoor air quality.
