"I needed a solution to redirecting water that was pooling in my yard from my home’s gutter downspouts. The downspouts needed to be buried and moved away from the house, some drains added and low lawn spots regraded. After a number of consults from other companies trying to sell me costly drain systems and unneeded products, Freedom Land Services was clearly the best choice and top tier. Consultation, punctuality, professionalism, expertise, communication, fast completion, no up-selling and honest pricing, informative, and my yard was left so very clean and tidy during the project and after. I really appreciate the time and attention to detail Adam and his team took to customize and execute my project, and it works flawlessly. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results!"

Blue Ribbon is more than just an HVAC company. We’re family. For more than 20 years, we’ve been a community staple that’s provided customers in the Greater Austin area with ultimate comfort. Our skills, quality workmanship, absolute honesty and budget-friendly services are what make our team No. 1 in area comfort.

"Everything was good they came did the work and I am happy with the installers. Had gotten bid from other contractors but wanted someone to do all the work without having to use two different contractors. They fit the bill. I only wish that when the person who gives the quote that they don’t say something that is not true."

"Whole house replumb. Used A&A Plumbing due to a glowing review from a friend who is extremely discerning about contracted work. Unfortunately for me, I didn't get the same individual to do the work. Biggest issue was the lack of respect for our home and treating it like a trash can. Copy and pasted from the email to them regarding issues: 12 cigarette butts found Area behind washer (lines don't allow drywall to sit flush) Area behind master sink, lack of insulation, fixtures are not secure Master closet (non-insulated lines) Area behind refrigerator (lack of insulation, mess) Undersink (Badly mounted fittings) Behind fridge to master toilet (Fitting not secure, no insulation) Guest bathroom mess Guest bathroom non-centered plate Guest bathroom gap under shower faucet Partial insulated lines, didn't clean up in the attic (plastic from insulation, sections of cut PEX, insulation) Lines to shower run backwards (I did say it was okay to 'fix it' like that) Lines mounted in a way that they protrude passed the studs (some cases further out than thickness of drywall) Washing machine hook up backwards When attempting to find a leak from the install, they pried up the AC return grille Scratched a brand new refrigerator by manhandling it instead of adjusting the leveling feet Glass coffee carafe broken in the sink, nothing mentioned For the lines in the attic, I had to go back and re-insulate them as they installed the clamp in the insulation so the lines wouldn't be fully insulated. Large sections of lines were left uninsulated by the soffit vents causing them freeze over during the last freeze. Most of the issues were addressed that are shown/described only after calling/emailing to point it out. If you do go with them, make sure they are doing it correct and double check everything they do. If Kyle is still there, ask for him."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

A good option for opening up and cleaning a sink drain is to use a ¼ cup of baking soda and 1 cup of white vinegar, along with a rubber stopper to cover the drain while those materials work their magic. After about 15 minutes, you can flush the drain with hot water. In many cases, these materials can scrub out minor clogs and get the drain working properly again. If the issue persists, call in a plumber near you to get the problem permanently fixed.

Yes, even a small dishwasher leak is a big deal. While it might seem minor, continuous unnoticed drips can lead to significant water damage to your kitchen floor, subfloor, and cabinetry. This damp environment is also a perfect breeding ground for mold, which can cause health issues and expensive mold remediation. Remember that water and electricity don't mix—having even a small leak poses a potential electrical hazard. Addressing any leak as soon as possible protects your home and avoids costly future repairs.

Most of the time, the answer is yes, but with an enormous asterisk. While an increase in iron deposits isn’t likely to harm you if consumed, that doesn’t mean you should drink any brown water from your faucets. In our book, it’s better to be safe than sorry and opt for bottled until the issue is resolved.

Your local town or municipality’s fire code and other applicable ordinances will set out the requirements for installing and maintaining a private fire hydrant. These rules can vary from place to place, so it’s crucial to consult with your town’s fire or code enforcement departments before you install a private hydrant on any property you own. Alternatively, you can hire a professional fire service consultant to help you interpret local laws and ensure you’re fully compliant with those requirements.

There are many possibilities for why your shower’s water pressure is low. It might be a simple-to-fix issue like the water valves being partially turned off, a dirty showerhead or hose, leaks in the plumbing, or an old showerhead. However, low water pressure in the shower could also indicate a larger issue with your home’s plumbing system.
