"They were very quick to respond, had my units installed next day after initial phone call, it was very important to get them up and running reliabley to help dry out my house. They checked and inspected my indoor units as well. I also had a problem a few days later with the AC breaker tripping and they came out immediately and found that the wire had been cut during demolition of my drywall."

"I had a great experience with Kelly's A/C. They installed blown-in insulation in my home, and the difference was noticeable right away—my house feels more comfortable, and I’m already seeing an improvement in energy efficiency. The team was professional, on time, and kept everything clean throughout the process. They took the time to explain the work and answer all my questions. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing insulation or HVAC services!"

"John Moore sent a gentleman out initially to assess the problem, he happened to be a Supervisor. He was extremely professional and very complete in his assessment of the problem. He recommended that we replace our unit due to its age and condition. Then he worked with us to get the best unit for our house and worked with us on the financing options. Tom Lee was the initial person to come to our house and once we had decided on our plan of action Tom went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best possible system for our house. Excellent customer service skills and a very nice man. We got lucky !!!!! The installation crew was even better. They were very professional, courteous, and precise in what they were doing. It took some time to complete the job, but not because of the crew; it was due to the fact that they went the extra mile to make sure that the install was done correctly and they had to correct some mistakes that a previous installer made (not John Moore staff). My wife and I would highly recommend any and all John Moore services for your home needs. We have used their Plumbing, Electrical and now their A/C service teams and they are all top-notch. Excellent company and we would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone."

"Ace Comfort did an excellent job installing my ductless split unit system. They can go my home to provide an estimate and we scheduled a date to install. The team at Ace Comfort is wonderful to deal with and they took the opportunity to answer my questions."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

While you’ll pay more upfront for a brand-new HVAC unit, you can save money in the long run. Here’s how to save on your new HVAC system:

  • When purchasing a high-efficiency system, your energy bills will be lower in the future.

  • You may be eligible for special offers from your local energy company.

  • Depending on the system, you may be eligible for HVAC rebates and tax credits.

  • Choose to replace your air conditioning unit and furnace simultaneously to save on labor and installation costs.

Generally, an oil furnace is considered safer than a gas furnace for several reasons. While both types of furnaces can produce carbon monoxide, a leak in an oil furnace is easier to detect due to the smell. Oil furnaces also don't connect to a gas pipeline, which reduces the chance of a fuel leak. Most importantly, heating oil is not combustible, whereas natural gas is highly flammable. This means there is a much lower risk of combustion or explosion with an oil furnace. However, an oil furnace can still pose a fire hazard if it tips over.

Installing a boiler requires training, a specific skill set, and extensive experience. Boiler installation can be extremely dangerous, as it involves working with water lines, gas lines, and electricity. For this reason, it’s strongly recommended that you hire a professional to install your boiler. Some states even consider it illegal to work on a boiler without the proper licensing.

No, boilers and water heaters are not interchangeable because they serve different primary functions. Boilers are used for central heating systems, providing hot water or steam to heat your home. In contrast, a water heater's purpose is to supply hot water for daily household use, such as for faucets and showers. A water heater alone cannot supply the warm water or steam needed for a central heating system.

While they are not interchangeable, it is common to have both a boiler and a water heater. In fact, a conventional boiler often works best when a water heater system is already in place. The two systems can be combined to provide both heating and hot water, either by pairing a boiler with an indirect water heater or by installing a premade combination boiler-water heater unit. For home heating, some homeowners may also opt for a furnace instead of a boiler.

Unless they are connected to the same system, boilers and water heaters will both need their own expansion tanks. The only case they wouldn’t have separate expansion tanks is if the boiler is pulling double duty and managing a heating system while also supplying hot water for a home. In which case, you may not need a hot water heater.
