Not well, but mostly because she had too many jobs going and did not oversee her people well. Have friends who had good luck with her, and I liked her and really wanted to work with her, but I had lots of problems that they did not take responsibility for. Had to replace carpet because it was ruined day it was installed. She blamed carpet layer and said it was glue, he blamed her and said it was paint. I had to pay to pay to replace carpet. Her guys got grease on another carpet day it was laid. Repeatedly asked that her painters use drop cloths and prep the walls and they did not and got paint all over wood floors which she said she would clean up but I had to. I finally learned I had to be there all day every day and check every little thing and could not get them to fill holes or scrape off extra texture. They stained a floor and then someone walked across it and got boot prints all over it. She blamed floor guy's crew and they said they didn't do it. Had to cover it with carpet. I came in that night and the windows were open and it was raining in. Had to go over every day to be sure they locked doors and closed windows. They set off the burglar alarm four times. I asked them before they started to cover the fire sensors because alarm company said if they did not it would damage them and set off the alarm when they sanded or sprayed. They did not until they left (?) and set off the fire alarm four times (in addition to burglar alarm four times) in two months and the fire truck came because I was not there those times. I asked her to touch up a small area (2 ft X 2 ft) of my stained cabinets to see what it looked like and then I would decide whether to touch up stain or paint white. Came in and guys had done whole kitchen and another room and looked like they had flicked brown paint on it. She fixed it as best she could but you can't see wood grain anymore. I wanted blue paint against a stark white trim and she suggested dover white. When I said the sample card had yellow in it, (and I was having her paint yellow walls because I did not want yellow) she said it would go on whiter and pure white would be too white. The dover white is too yellow and I have since had outside painted the color white I wanted and that is what I wanted inside. Now I have a whole house full of a color I did not want. Her granite guy did a terrible job (and I had LOTS of granite installed) and I am trying to get her to get him back out here. Have had several granite people look at it and he did not polish edges properly and got metal cut lines following the sink lines. There is a big chunk out of the bottom of the overhang of the granite they installed in the wet bar and the edges of that and a 20 foot piece weren't sealed properly. While installing the wet bar and moving a water line they let water leak and it stained my ceiling but she re-painted it. They were supposed to stain my concrete sunroom floor but it appears to be just painted because it is chipping off. They touched it up once but it is still chipping and looks bad. They finished in late Dec or early Jan so it has chipped since then and I don't use the room for anything but plants yet. I had to delay my move date, and reschedule my movers, four times and every time I gave her an extension she took her guys out to another job. To be fair though I did add some things to the original list. I can't even remember everything but there was a lot I was unhappy with. I liked Jennifer and also really liked her young assistant, Alyssa and I would have rated worse except for two things. 1. Jennifer did try to fix some of the things that went wrong, like the cabinets. 2. I had a lot to complain about as we went along and she was not rude. We were able to talk about things and work them out for the most part. I said I would use her again, and she may not want to after this review, because the experiences I have had since have shown me she is not that bad. I will never live in another house that I even have to paint after the experiences I have had since buying this house in February. It started with a terrible inspection job, where they missed tens of thousands of dollars of stuff, and things have steadily gone downhill since then.
Having said all of that, now after using Chuck Colley and Darren Kirby for work on the outside, I think Jennifer did a better job than they have. They have caused me a lot of expense fixing damage their workers caused (about $2400.00 replacing pool tile that was broken off, cleaning concrete off pool coping, and it will never come off my brick) and am having to repaint my sunroom because concrete stained it, had to pay someone $1800.00 to re-grade my yard because concrete people brought bobcat in on saturated ground. Part of that was to lay grass but should not have needed grass except that they killed it because they left stuff all over it for 3 months. They charged me $100 to rent a machine to transplant my grass because I didn't need much but couldn't do it so they charged me an additional $760 for grass and it only covered about half of what they killed. Part of the $1800 was also to power wash my neighbors street where they let concrete run down the street three houses down and around the corner. I repeatedly asked that they clean it up but it was three months before it was done. They laid a patio that was shaped like a and quot;vand quot; and unusable as a patio. They were supposed to drain it the opposite way they drained it and the only reason we did all of the job as one job, instead of waiting until October to build a covered porch with a kitchen and an outdoor pavilion was to install larger drains and tie the downspouts into them. I wanted them to start Jan 2 and wanted them finished by April15 because I had to re do the pool, overlay concrete, etc and wanted to use my pool this summer. If they could not finish by April 15 I told them i wou;ldenlarge the pool area and wait until Oct to do the other construction. But when Mr Colley brought me a contract with $2000 more in his fee in middle Jan, than we agreed I asked why. I did not get a response and talked to someone else to do the job that was going to start Feb 17. Darren assured me they wanted the job and could be finished no later than April 15, 30th at the latest. It is June 23 and they are not finished. They really didn't even do anything but the concrete until after April 15. I talked to Mr. Colley in Jan and made it clear I wanted him running the job, not Darren. However, Mr. Colley let Darren run the job and backed him up when he did not do the patio as I asked and refused to fix it. They did not tie the downspouts into the drains, did not install larger drains, and my gutters have to make four 90 degree turns before they get to a downspout and I have water rushing down a valley and spurting onto the shingles and will ruin them shortly. They say this was the only way it could be done but other builders and concrete and drainage people disagree. Basically Mr Colley turned this job over to Darren Kirby, Darren Kirby did not pay attention and left everything to the subs and I got lousy work and not the job I paid for. I did not even have the head stone layer here when my stone was laid and it cracked immediately. I mean on all sides of the columns, all the way around, in less than a week. They did fix the ones in the pavilion after I sent a certified letter. but Mr. Colley says this is normal and happens on all of his jobs. The stone is not what I wanted either. They totally disregarded what I wanted and did what was easiest, again because Darren didn't pay attention. He comes up with stories to cover every situation, and when one doesn't work he comes up with another one. He doesn't return my calls and says he doesn't get my texts, although he did until I started complaining and everyone else does. Mr. Colley told me to and quot;be sure Darren gets my textsand quot;. How do I do that?

"NO STARS! Do not ever use Matt Phillips of Stone Ridge Pool and Landscape Co., LLC. We entered into an agreement in Sept 2023 to have our pool resurfaced, and he took an $11,400 down payment. Then he never got started on the work, despite 8 weeks giving me delay after delay, and weather was only a factor once. Then he started ghosting my texts and phone calls. And of course, I haven't received my down payment back, despite requesting a full refund. All this guy will do for you is to take your large down payment, and then he'll never be seen again. He basically stole $11,400 from me. Stay far far away from this corrupt person."

FAQs for pool construction and installation projects in Oak Grove, TX
The average cost of an above-ground pool is between $1,100 and $5,700. Costs will vary depending on the type of pool you install. The low end of the price range includes a DIY kit for around $800 and goes up to about $15,000 for a custom pool with extra features like a deck and water features. Building an above-ground pool is much faster than installing an inground one. The cost tends to be much lower for an above-ground pool than for an inground pool because there’s less labor involved, especially when it comes to excavation and running plumbing and electrical lines.
Installing an inground pool costs around $55,000, on average. The typical price range is between $39,000 and $70,000, depending on the size and type of pool and accessibility of the site. This project requires an experienced pool installation contractor as the project usually involves extensive excavation, plumbing, electrical, concrete, and careful grading of the concrete or pavers around the pool.
Adding a spa to a pool is worth it if you use it enough. Adding a built-in spa to an inground pool can cost between $15,000 and $20,000, on top of installing the pool. A separate hot tub costs between $5,000 and $8,000. These prices will vary depending on the hot tub's size, type, and features. Additional costs include maintenance, electricity, and plumbing.
From start to finish, building an inground pool takes anywhere from two to four months. Factors that impact time to completion include any weather delays, material delays or shortages, scheduling conflicts, and any unforeseen challenges. The project may take most of the pool season, depending on where you live. Because of this, it’s a good idea to start getting estimates and finding a qualified pool company at least a year before your anticipated installation. Spring and summer is the busy season for pool contractors, which impacts their availability as projects are typically booked for several weeks if not months.
