From our first visit to installation was only three weeks. We supplied our own new undermount sink, and reused our exisiting faucets etc. The team did an excellent job on installation day. Old countertops removed, new ones installed. One of our pieces was a very odd shape due to the kitchen layout and despite the laser measurements we had to have some cutting into the dry wall. They did a great job of levelling the countertop even though our cabinets were not all at exactly the same level. And the pattern had been laid out on the slabs to give an extremely good join from one piece to the next, not easy with the granite we chose. I was impressed by the attention to detail of the installers, and the way they finished off the job and cleared up at the end of day. Great price and good service, very impressed. Reading some of the (albeit older) negative reviews, I need to stress how important it is to sort out before the install EXACTLY what you want done - where holes are going to be drilled etc - and not leave it to the day of the install before thinking about these things. They have a good process, and though they may not be the cheapest, they were very professional and did excellent work. Called them when I was getting the run-around from another granite installer. David was VERY helpful, he called the granite showroom about some granite we'd seen and were interested in and informed me that the granite we'd seen was on special from the showroom and that there was only 1 slab from that lot, we needed 2 slabs. The other installer had failed to mention there was only 1 slab of this very distinctive granite when giving me a very nebulous verbal bid, or pass along the "special" pricing. We went to the showroom shortly after this and Jenn was very helpful and when we showed her our cabinets immediately led us to a granite that we LOVED! And love even more now. She also helped us with some initial design ideas for the "mural" in the backsplash. Setup our in home meeting/measuring with Terry who was on time and very professional. Made our appointment for the layout and that went fairly well, though we had to call over one of the cutters to give Jenn, my wife and I hand in how to lay it out. Unfortunately, we lost a couple of the areas of coloration that my wife and I really liked, but we didn't want to buy 4 slabs. Be prepared to make some compromises, or show up with the BIG wallet. They suggested their subs, but let us use our own where we wanted. Jose & Thomas showed up for the install with a panel truck (no trailer so your granite will not get chipped on the way to the install). They were AMAZING on the demo, that job was done in an hour. So just pay them the modest fee, and enjoy more time with your friends/family. The granite was installed and they were on their way in less than 3.5 hours in total. Only issue was we had been to Arizona tile and liked their "Crema Marfil", and really wanted to give them the business because their gentleman had been SUPER helpful with the mural and backsplash design. We communicated that we wanted to use this supplier to Jenn several times, and then she said she was getting the materials from a different distributor. Since we'd been looking at this Arizona's tiles for several weeks while going through the process we felt strongly. So I communicated to them that I'd pickup the tile for the backsplash. They had no problems with me doing this. While Bob does do good work (I guess, I don't have anything to compare it to, but our tub looks the way I wanted and expected!) and is responsive and shows up on time (all good traits), his work did result in a ton of dust all over our house. Never having had a tub refinished before I wasn't aware this would happen otherwise I would've covered up the new granite countertops, cabinets, glass shower enclosure, mirrors, etc. before he started work. After I mentioned the mess, he said he'd covered everything with plastic but that fine dust would still be lingering in the air. Yeah, I was in and out and never saw anything covered up with plastic, and that "fine dust" even managed to make it inside the bathroom drawers. When he finished the job he didn't provide any information on how to care for the refinished surface or how long I needed to wait to use the tub. He also didn't sweep up the mess he'd made on the floor in the bathroom. I would advise anyone using this company (or any company for this service) to learn from my mistake and understand that this acrylic dust will get EVERYWHERE. Cover everything up. I've had to spend most of the weekend getting thick layers of acrylic dust out of places I didn't think dust could get to. And this is just a personal preference and other people may feel differently, but while I appreciate contractors who are friendly, there's a fine line between friendliness and unprofessionalism. After his first day of work (it's a 2-day process), as Bob was leaving he stood in my foyer for half an hour telling me stories about his kids, his ex-wife, his ex-in laws. Frankly, it was too personal and I felt very uncomfortable. Not notifying me of the mess upfront (he knows what the process does, I do not) and sharing way too many personal anecdotes really put a damper on an otherwise positive service experience. Again, the actual work he did was fine - but it's all of those other components of service that make or break the customer experience. The installers put down runners to protect my hardwood floors and cleaned up after themselves. They also hauled off the old counter tops instead of leaving them in from of my house. They did chip the edge of my granite but did send someone out to repair it and it looks good. The one negative that I can think of is that if you don't live in Dallas, it can be an issue selecting your granite slabs. I live in McKinney and the drive to the slab yards can take up to an hour depending on traffic. They close at 5 pm and are only open half a day on Saturday. It can be an issue if you have to work. Our entire projected lasted about 10 days (not counting one weekend). First, we were thinking of only installing hardwood floors, but then we decided to paint and add other things as well. Mike Mitchell was very good at adjusting our estimates based on our changing requirements and we were very pleased about how there were no surprise costs. He was pretty clear about how much money would be needed up front and how much could get financed, and when the job could start. He was pretty patient about our indecision concerning what paint colors we wanted and what type floor we wanted. I think he brought floor samples to us at least three times; he also referred us to the supply company they use where there were more floor samples. He'd also come out and measure every time we had a new idea (such as, let's also get granite). We also got to go and choose our own granite slabs and the sink we wanted. Then we bought the faucet fixture and disposal we wanted them to install. Anyway, the project started off with painting, with nail pops and other problems fixed first. That lasted a couple of days and at least two coats were used. I was actually surprised when they started the second coat as I thought it looked fine with just the initial coat. The crew had the exact color paint we had chosen and came with the necessary scaffolding. While painting was ongoing, they started taking up carpeting. Then they took off all the old ceramic (watch out for the dust...). They walled off the entryway with plastic to keep the dust from spreading everywhere Our new ceiling fan was replaced, and new light fixtures in the kitchen were then put in, and measurements were taken for the granite. Great job centering the lights over the kitchen island. Then the kitchen ceiling was patched up...it actually had holes from the initial install of box lighting that we were replacing but the guys just took care of that, too. About this time, our old backsplash and countertops were removed. Then the floor was put in. This actually took about two days as our entire first floor minus the kitchen and baths, had hardwood and new molding put in. But they were careful moving furniture around and placing it back. Then the granite came in. One of our kitchen walls was not exactly straight so the install of one granite piece was a bit off initially; but this got fixed. I was concerned the new oven range would not fit in the space but they knew what they were doing when the installed the granite and everything fit fine; they even placed a granite bar behind the range (the new range does not have a back console like the old range did so otherwise a gap would be back there). Their tile guys set the new backsplash how we wanted and were even willing to pop out placed tiles and replace them with different decorative tiles on the fly, as we decided our initial idea needed a bit of changing. During this project, it appeared that all work crews had specific tasks. One team painted, another laid floors, one removed countertops and installed backsplash; another crew installed granite, electricians installed lights/fans, etc. Going through a remodel wasn't easy but everything looks great now and we are very pleased. We simply had too many things to get done and it was much easier getting everything done with one company than trying to hire different people for each different thing. We'd definitely use Raindango! again. But it'll be a while before we get around to remodeling our upstairs.

"Ari promised us to complete our project (which included kitchen, guest bath, master bath, laundry room and deck) in 6 weeks. They were done early and we're very pleased with the results. The crew was here almost every day, working on the project. We had a major water issue that soaked the carpet in the master bedroom and Ari was quick to assure us they would replace the flooring in the bedroom. Any issues they encountered were taken care of with no additional cost over what we were quoted up front.
Cabinets and countertops are GORGEOUS! Very, very pleased with the custom pantry they had built for my kitchen!
Our only negative was the language issue as most of the crew didn't speak English. But we were able to communicate well enough to accomplish what was needed.
We would use Finecraft again if we do any further remodeling.

I take real pride in my work, that's why I always give it my all. Been in the roofing game for a good 15 years now, and been running the show as a contractor for a solid decade. But I'm not just about roofs I've also got about five years doing remodeling and cement work. Plus, I've got a people for those smaller jobs like gutter cleaning and lawn care.

Granite Countertop Companies questions, answered by experts
Sintered stone and quartz are both low-maintenance materials resistant to water damage and scratching. However, quartz can be damaged by temperatures over 150°F, while sintered stone is heat-resistant up to 300°F. Both materials are comparable in cost, so ultimately, the decision will hinge on your preferences.
Marble countertops cost$3,000 on average, ranging from about $2,000 to $5,000, depending on the type of marble, square footage, location, and whether you use tiles or slabs. Another major cost factor to consider is the grading of the marble, which determines its quality level.
Use this grading system when selecting marble for countertops:
Grade A: Nearly perfect with subtle veining
Grade B: Minor flaws such as pits, fissures, or blotches
Grade C: Minor and major flaws like chipping and cracks requiring repair
Grade D: Significant damage needing repair, with dark veining and pronounced colors
You can cut food on tough, scratch-resistant granite countertops. However, these hard surfaces can quickly dull your knife blades, and continual cutting in the same spot can eventually lead to marks forming and compromising the protective sealant. As with any countertop material, it’s always best to use a chopping board.
The angle at which you cut countertops depends on the material, your intended outcome, and the location of the cut. For example, rather than cutting a straight 90-degree angle for internal corners, cut edges at a 45-degree angle to give a clean, professional look. For outside edges, most homeowners want squared-off sides, so 90-degree angles can make the most sense there. Because you want to get angles exactly right to minimize seams and eliminate the need for patching, be sure to measure several times before cutting and use the right equipment to get sharp, accurate angles.
Granite countertops typically add value to your home, especially if upgrading from a less durable material or one that requires more maintenance, like concrete, wood, or laminate. Granite strikes an excellent balance between longevity and affordability, so most home buyers will see immense value in granite countertops. Plus, upgrading countertops to granite is likely to have a more significant impact on your home value than many other home improvement projects, as many buyers use the kitchens and bathrooms to judge the overall quality of the home.
