***UPDATE*** 03/02/2011: Noted that several coping bricks had separated from the pool beam. Also noted that quite a number of coping bricks seemed to have a poor bond to the pool beam. Called Mobley Pool Company and left message for Chad concerning loose/separated coping bricks. Expected to get call back from Chad that day, but did not. 03/03/2011: Stopped by Mobley Pool Company to find out when the coping bricks would be repaired. Spoke to Chad who stated that he believed the subcontractor would have workers stop by tomorrow to evaluate what repairs were needed. 03/15/2011: Called Mobley Pool Company, spoke to Chad regarding 30 to 40 coping bricks needing repair. He explained that he believed the workers would be by that week to see what repairs are needed. 03/17/2011: Chad and workers responsible for repairing coping bricks came by unannounced while I was out running errands. When I arrived home I found 2 workers in the backyard "finishing up" the repairs to the coping bricks. I might add at this point that the backyard was secured by a latch on the inside of the gate. Chad arrived as the workers were cleaning up their mess and explained that he had let them in so that they could complete the repairs. This is after I had expressly told Chad to call me before coming to do repairs as I wanted to be present. Although repairs appeared to be completed I cannot say for certain that all loose and incorrectly bonded coping bricks were repaired since I did not witness the work being performed. One coping brick was damaged and reinstalled, but I did not think in was worth the time to have the workers pull out that one coping brick to replace it. 04/18/2011: Notified Mobley Pool Company regarding noisy pool pump. It was noisy to the point that it could be heard by neighbors. 04/20/2011: Joe from Mobley Pool Company came by to check on the pool pump. He determined that the pump motor required replacement, but that he did not have one with him. He stated he would come back the following day to replace the pool pump motor. 04/21/2011: Joe returned to replace the pool pump motor. He completed the work and checked pump for proper operation. ***Update*** 04/2012: Notified Mobley Pool Company about error code on Salt Water Chlorine Generator (SWCG) control unit indicating that SWCG needed cleaning. Advised Mobley Pool Company that I had cleaned the SWCG, but that it did not clear the error code. Joe from Mobley Pool Company came by the following day and determined that the SWCG was bad and needed replacement. When I received the invoice for Joe's service call I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I was only charged $60.00 for the service call. I have to assume that the SWCG was replaced under warrenty. Approximately 1 month later I noted a error code on the SWCG control unit indicating no flow. Called Mobley Pool Company and the following day Joe came by to check it out. This time he replaced the Tri-Sensor which he said was bad. This time when I received the invoice I found I was being charged $430.00 ($60 for the service call and $358.00 for the Tri Sensor). I got curious about the cost of the sensor and checked on the internet to find out what the Tri-Sensor was selling for else where. Imagine my surprise when I found that I could purchase the same Tri Sensor on-line for $179.00. The following day I called Mobley Pool Company to speak with Mr. Mobley. He returned my call later in the day. I explained that I felt his price was more that what I felt was a fair price. He explained that he got all of his parts from wholesalers and that he only had a mark up of 40%. He advised me that I could return the part and he would credit my account with that return minus a restocking fee. I paid the invoice and was credited $358.00 on the invoice. Based on my recent experience with Mobley Pool Company I am raising my overall rating to an A . However, as a side note let me add that the sensor I received from my on-line order had 1 additional part (a circuit board attached to the end of the cable) and the sensor’s epoxy was black instead of white. The instructions explained that the circuit board was a fix of sensor error code problem. The thing that is interesting is that the sensor that Mobley Pool had installed had the same instructions included with it. Yet there was no circuit board installed when Mobley Pool installed the sensor. ***Update*** 06/11/2013: Problems with Pool Slide continue. I noticed that the pool slide had water leaking out the bottom of it. Upon checking it out the slide I noted that the slide was more misaligned and that there was a large gap on the bottom of the slide where the seat portion meets the first flume had a large gap. I decided that I needed to tighten the bolts on the slide as directed in the owner’s manual. I began by tightening the bolts on the legs. Several of these bolts were seized. Upon tightening the nuts on the bolts where the seat and first flume meet one bolt pulled the embedded nut from the seat portion of the slide. I attempted to reinstall it as I believed the reason it pulled out was because I had tightened it too tightly. I was unable to reinstall and resorted to sending an e-mail and photgraphs to InterFab to see if they had a fix for my problem. Because I did not want the children trying to use the slide we took it down. In preparing to complete the repair that I was expecting from InterFab I removed slide handles. To my surprise I found that the steps where the handles go through were broken from what I must assume is over tightening. I also noted that the bolts holding the mounting foot for the ladder were installed at an angle. They should have been totally vertical as demonstrated in the InterFab on-line video. Bottom line is I do not believe the slide was installed properly in the first place. It was brought to our house fully assembled. The installation instructions and on-line video clearly indicate that it is to be assembled on site by at least 2 workers. Without seeing the slide in the unassembled state I have no idea of whether it was assembled correctly or of knowing the condition of all of the parts before assembly. I might add here that none of the protective caps designed to fit over exposed bolts were included or installed on the slide. I do know that the instructions in the owner's manual and that I viewed on the Inter-Fab web site clearly state that once the slide is set into place that the position of the deck mounting holes are to be marked on the deck and that once marked the slide is to be moved to the side so that the holes for the mounting bolts can be drilled vertically. Although the holes for the 2 verticle mounting posts are verticle, the mounting bolts for the foot of the ladder are all at an angle indicating that the holes were drilled with the slide in place. I believe this possibly may have caused extra tension on the slide joints causing them to fail prematurely. Slide Update 6/14/2013: After exchanging e-mails and photographs with Inter-Fab regarding our X-Stream Slide the manufacturer has informed me that they will be sending the repair parts to us free of charge. What a refreshing development to find a manufacturer that stands behind their product. I would recommend purchase of this companies products 100%. I am more than satisfied with their response to my inquiry."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/bryan/mobley-pool-co-reviews-6174037.htm"},"position":8},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Lowe's Of Bryan","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"TX","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Kimberley D."},"reviewBody":"Service in the store was good, but it usually is. "We are currently in an exception heat spell and I am running my water well supplied lawn irrigation system daily. This morning, I notice my sprinklers had not run. I checked the breaker and that was fine. I called the Ballard office and to my surprise, they said they would have someone there that afternoon. My pump is ~10 yrs old, so I was not expecting a pleasant outcome. Blane Greenhaw and an assistant showed up and within thirty minutes had my pump running at the minimum service charge. Very pleasant and professional crew. -- Great job."

"The process was quick and easy. I just provided a water sample. It was determined that I had high levels of chlorine in our drinking water. I was able to solve my water problems with only one filter. Why did I wait years to have this done? Now I can be confident that our water is safe. Highly recommended."

FAQs for well and pump service projects in Madisonville, TX
Estimating what size well pump you need is challenging and often inaccurate, but a general rule of thumb is to take the number of fixtures—including water-consuming appliances—in your home and aim for that number in gallons per minute. That calculation method would allow for every fixture in your home to use about one gallon of water per minute. However, it’s best to leave the pump size determination to a professional technician, as they can ensure your pump is providing your home with sufficient water, especially during peak usage hours.
Some states and municipalities restrict well pump repair and replacement to licensed plumbers and technicians, while others don’t have requirements. However, it’s always a good idea to hire a certified plumber to repair or replace well pumps and water pumps. Certified professionals are far more likely to get the job done correctly and prevent future issues, which is especially important for ensuring access to clean water for your home.
It’s possible to fix a broken well pump yourself, but we don’t recommend it. Well pumps are hard to reach and service without the proper equipment, and even if you can reach the pump, it involves working in close proximity to water and electricity, which can be extremely dangerous. Any mistakes made during the repair process could contaminate your water supply or put you and your home at risk. Additionally, some states require that a licensed plumber carry out well pump repair. It’s worth it to hire a professional water pump repair service.
The average cost to repair a well pump is $950, with most well pump repairs ranging between $100 and $2,900. A few factors influence your total repair cost, including the component of your well that needs repair or replacement, the extent of the damage, the accessibility of the pump, and the age and size of your well pump. It might be more cost-effective to replace your well pump if it’s old or has multiple broken components, as the average cost to replace a well pump is $1,800.
Most professional well and water pump technicians will take between two and four hours to replace an above-ground well pump, while a submersible well pump typically takes four to five hours to access and replace. You can also ask your well pump replacement technician how long they expect the process to take, as some jobs take just an hour or two. Keep in mind that you’ll be without access to water during the replacement process, so plan ahead by showering early and stocking up on bottled water for drinking and cooking.
