We thought that it went very well. They were responsive, helpful, courteous and professional. They arrived within the window they said that they were going to, which was a big plus.

I called and asked if they work on Kenmore water softeners and was told yes. However when the technician arrived, he stated he was unfamiliar with these, and knew less than I did from my online research/diagnosis. Yet I was still charged the service call charge.

GREAT! I was very pleased with the result.

Just to keep story short, 1st guy to come out damaged my roof, broke toilet vent pipe, removed drain pipes for sinks and didn’t replace, was fired for sexual harassment and the company justified his behavior as “his sense of humor”, he also lied to reception saying I could only have them out on certain days and times. When replacement tech was sent he added unauthorized charges, stole my ladder, took apart my bathtub drain underneath the house and didn’t replace. 6 months later and my job isn’t complete and I’m being bullied into payment before job is finished. I’ve asked for supervision and I get told they don’t have any available or in office and I never get a call back. Reception is blaming me saying I’m adding on tasks which are things that their techs destroyed, removed, and never replaced.

The young man was extremely courteous and knowledgeable. It took three appointments before anyone came out. The reason I didn't give a A is because I was charged a trip charge I didn't know about, plus the tech didn't know I had an Angie's List coupon. Otherwise all was good.

I purchased an Angie's list deal for a water heater replacement for $850 (40 Gallon WH install and removal of old unit) from Your Katy Plumber but when you get the contact info you are connected to Big State Plumbing. I claimed the deal on Friday 03/15/19 at 11:30am and I put urgent on the notes as I had no hot water. I did not hear from anyone at Big State Plumbing so I called the contact number Saturday afternoon and I was told "I was just about to call you". The earliest available appointment was not until Wednesday 03/20/19 with a block from 8am - Noon. They send you a text the day before to remind you of your appt. On the day of the service, I got a text at 10:15am giving the name & pic of the Technician and stating that he was on his way. He arrived at 10:50am and I showed him to the non-working water heater. He began his work by draining the old unit. After he had unloaded the new unit from his Van and began prep for installation, I popped in the garage to check his progress and I noted that he was about to install a Bradford White (brand I was unfamiliar with) water heater. I stopped him and informed him that the deal I had signed up for included a Rheem water heater and that is what I wanted. He stated that the Bradford White is all they had at their warehouse so that's what he brought. He asked to see a copy of the printed Angie's list deal which I showed him and he took a picture. He then called someone at his office to ask if someone could bring him a Rheem WH but no luck. He then stated that he would have to go buy one and come back which was okay since the old unit was draining. He then left to go get the Rheem WH and was gone approx. 1.5 hours. Once he returned with the correct WH, the installation it self was pretty fast and painless. The Technician was very polite and he had a good attitude when I told him I wanted the Rheem unit as quoted in the deal but I do feel like the company was practicing a bit of bait and switch with the other unit. I have never heard of Bradford White but I am willing to bet that the water heater from them cost less than the Rheem unit. Overall, I am very grateful to have hot water after a week without. I feel like the deal was a fair bargain, not great but I didn't want to go through the hassle of buying and installing a new water heater and disposing of the old one so that helps me feel like the price was a good deal. I think the Technician should be aware of the contracted work including the terms of the "deal" purchased and the dispatcher should have been a bit faster contacting me to schedule so I didn't have to call them. Bottom line, not sure if I would use them again. Plus what is up with the name change? Your Katy Plumber has an "A" on Angie's list but Big State Plumbing has a "B"

The workers were knowledgeable and knew exactly what needed to be done and how to get it done in the most efficient way. Any time you have to cut into sheet rock inside a house, it is going to be a mess. I really appreciated their clean up before they left each of 3 days that they were here.

The plumber (Rob) was excellent. Very courteous, professional and helpful. This was for an after-hours event and all drains in the house were slow or not draining. Even though it took a little longer than initially committed to get here, we understand minor delays by other jobs happen. It’s also a challenge to get any plumber out after hours as few resources work late or night shifts. The quality of work was excellent and they did communicate expectations on arrival as the situation changed. The work was done quickly and efficient. The Angie’s List discount was a lifesaver!

Came out on a Wednesday, found the leak, and bid the job. They could not start the job until the following Monday and then on that Monday they did not show up and they did not call. Only when we called did they respond and showed up Tuesday at 10:30 am. They worked until 4:40 and returned Wednesday and Thursday. At the end of the day Thursday the plumbing work was complete except for insulating the exposed pipe and they had not filled in the trenches that were dug for the new water line. Upon the promise that someone would be back in the morning to clean-up, fill in the trench and insulate the exposed pipe, we made the mistake of paying them. They never showed up and did not respond to repeated phone calls until Saturday at which time I was told that no one was available to come out and finish the job and that they could not promise that the manager would call us as we had asked to be done. Since we had open trenches on the property next to the sidewalks, we placed our safety cones around the trenches to warn anyone walking up to the house. When they finally responded on Monday and sent someone Tuesday, the trenches were filled in, but the exposed pipe was still unwrapped and they took our safety cones!!!! They have not responded to our calls to bring them back. The cost of the cones is not an issue, but the inconvenience, lack of responsiveness, and the lack of respect shown to us is huge. They have no responsible management, supervision, or customer service skills. To be fair, they did fix the leak, but we cannot recommend them because they did not complete their work and did not care to ensure the job was done correctly.

The first time it went well. Simple traditional water heater replacement. A little expensive, but very punctual and did a good job. Second time I reached out with a water pressure and water heater issue at another location. Technician recommended a $7,000 solution. Of course I choked. Called another company that fixed the problem for $200. No new water heater needed. Nor would it have fixed the problem. I thought I was calling Big State to diagnose and fix my plumbing problem. What I got was a salesman that didn't diagnose anything.

Good. The rep that was sent cleaned out the P-trap however he really did not disconnect or clean out the drain line to the RO system. He said there was evidence of water moving through it so he didn't do anything to it. The air gap at the faucet is still is gurgling and the RO system is still not producing water. On the god side, he did re-plumb the drain lines connecting both sinks and eliminated a second p-trap at no cost.

First visit, scheduled Jan. 15th through Angie's List, went well to have the water heater drained and a whole house plumbing inspection, with us pointing out a couple known issues wanting estimates and to schedule a fix asap on one especially. Plumber quoted about $200-$300 to replace shower diverter for a 3 handle system; he said they would order the part and call us back to schedule. We had to call back 4 weeks later to find out they never ordered the part or wrote anything down to follow up with us. They scheduled for that week, and sent an email for a documented $250 estimate, but a different plumber came out not knowing anything about our history, not having the part we were told was ordered, and saying we needed a $650 fix instead, after also first going to the wrong address and arguing with me on the phone about what kind of car we had in our driveway. Then he insisted we pay a $50 trip fee for coming out while I asked him to wait for us to call the main office to get this straightened out. He was argumentative and would barely let me speak to clarify the misinformation he had. The saving grace was the customer service with the office staff. They apologized and took responsibility for miscommunication with dispatch and scheduling while being short-staffed that created the main issues and even offered a discount for having to reschedule the original plumber to come out, who did have the part for our job on his truck. The office staff and first plumber were friendly and listened well. I am hoping it goes well from here.

I really liked this company. They send you an email with the photo of the person you will be meeting with which as a women knowing who is coming to your door now a day is great information. Richard was prompt, respectful and get me the information I needed quickly. I would definitely hire this company.

It went great. He saved me from buying another water heater. They provide fair price.

Excellent. Was more than pleased with price through Angie's List special, and even more so with the two young men who performed the work. The technicians Richard and, I think, Angel, were exceptionally competent, professional, hardworking young men, a credit to the company. Richard explained carefully the pricing and procedure, and went out of his way to obtain the Angie's list price on both tanks as opposed to one. The process of scheduling the appointment was straightforward. Their system emailed and texted me when the plumber was on his way over. The job was to replace a kitchen faucet and drinking water dispenser (I had already bought them). The estimate to replace 1 kitchen faucet with another I already bought came to $450. In my opinion, $450 is outrageous for a single faucet replacement, so I paid the $49 estimate fee and the plumber left without having done the work. I will not use this company again.

I had a slow drain and had two other companies come out and the problem returned. It has been over a year now and I have had no problems whatsoever. I will definitely recommend him to others and use again if I ever have a need.

He charged me twenty dollars above the cost determined by Angie's List "to cover materials that he used." It was a low blow for me.

Excellent - no problems

28 Days, 3 technicians, a gas leak, and only 2 hours of labor completed. Received 3 different quotes. Was sent a bill for work that was not done. Reported to BBB and they still refused to drive to my home to verify that the work was not done or talk to me or my husband. Very stressful and upsetting experience.

Richard and Angel were great. Very knowledgeable, punctual, and easy to communicate with that made it easy to ask question. Excellent price for the entire job. Hopefully I wouldn't have to use you all again anyone soon, but if so I will hire you all anytime. Excellent job by Richard and Angel. B. Davila
