"I can't say enough good things about Alan and Sara at ACB Services. First of all, Alan and his crew can do anything and they do it all really well. Their drywall work was the best I've ever seen and he seems to know exactly what he's talking about on electrical. Sara is the best coordinator and they are both very good at communicating so you are not left in the dark on what they are doing or when it is going to be done. I would trust them to do any project in my house."

"Mario has been our Handyman for over the last 5yrs. He's remolded our home by putting down title in our home. He has remodeled both of our bathrooms, he put in receding lighting through out our home. He's installed ceiling fans. He also setup our backup generator. Mario does excellent work, and I won't use any other contractor on my home. 5 stars to Mario for his awesome work. 👍👍👍👍👍"

"Henry has done everything from staining our pavilion and fence, trim work that no one could get right and the painting is top notch. If you have ever done a Sheetrock repair and it not match - their team just did four from settlement in our house. It’s my house and can’t tell where they were repaired. He has been with us since 2020. He and his family are amazing. Highly recommend. We had his wife clean our house. She did a great job as well."

You should not leave drywall outside, especially overnight or in a wet, humid climate. Exposure to rain and humidity can damage the drywall, weakening its structural integrity and making it susceptible to mold growth. If you must leave drywall outside during a project, be sure to cover it with a tarp or keep it inside a storage shed to protect it. Even drywall intended for exterior projects requires a protective moisture barrier. For best results, store any extra drywall in a dry area away from the elements.

Ceiling-mounted curtains won’t damage the ceiling if they’re installed properly. Using the right anchors or securing the brackets into joists will ensure the curtain weight is properly supported and prevent damage. However, overtightening screws, using weak anchors, or repeatedly removing and reinstalling hardware in the same spot can cause cracking or sagging over time. In that case, you might have to call a pro for ceiling repair.

Although they are used for similar tasks, spackle and joint compound are not the same. Joint compound, also known as drywall mud, consists of limestone and gypsum and is primarily used for large-scale projects like taping and finishing seams on new drywall. Spackle is composed of gypsum and binding agents, making it a thicker compound best suited for small wall repairs like filling nail holes or cracks, as it dries quickly and is easy to sand. For small repairs, either product can be suitable. However, you can use joint compound for small jobs in place of spackle, but you cannot use spackle for large-scale taping and mudding projects.

When sanding drywall mud, you’re going to create a very fine dust that may contain silica. Silica dust contains crystalline silica, which can cause long-term illnesses for people who inhale it in significant quantities. Wear a mask while sanding drywall. Then dampen a drywall sponge to wipe the dust off the drywall, helping to reduce the amount of dust that may become airborne.

Vinegar and bleach are effective options for removing mold from drywall. Vinegar is a better choice if you have a smaller mold issue while bleach is best if you have a larger mold problem. If the area you're cleaning has limited ventilation, using vinegar would be a better option. In that case, you could mix vinegar with baking soda to remove more stubborn mold growth.
