"The initial work was performed, (Nov. '18); somewhat expensive! But I agreed too: I'm elderly & disabled, with medical issues and breathing alignments. I needed my home warm! In Mar. '19 I tried to turn on my AC; it didn't work. I called the tech who worked on heater and ask if he might have accidentally done something that would cause my AC not too work, he said no! He offered to come and check my system and diagnose the problem for $50.00 CASH, (service fee), and give me an estimate to repair AC. Called another company and they found a wire that sends signal to condenser, (outside unit), had been looped, (disconnected); located in the area that tech worked on my heater! I was charged $120.00 for diagnostic time to find problem and fix. I called Owner Mark Sullivan and explained my issues and offered him opportunity to send his service manger to verify my story, he refused! Also their tech left trash and some new parts weren't installed, and others that weren't installed properly! Be very careful if you hire this Company, NOT VERY HONEST!!! Owner Mark Sullivan also hung- up the phone while I was talking! This from an owner of a business acting like a child! We as home owners hire service contractors, that are suppose to be PROfessionals to properly diagnose and repair problems in our homes and WE put our trust in them to preform an honest repair, and in my case because the work area was in the attic I was cheated! I'm including 12 pictures I took; that I had to crawl up into the attic to finish the work and clean up, clearly showing the mess/trash the tech left in my attic and parts that weren't properly attached/ or not installed at all. The business that did the bad work is : AC & Refrigeration Works @ 715 W. Pecan McAllen, TX. 78501; Office PH. (956) 928.9090; Email: [email protected]; Owner: Mark Sullivan! Pictures: Breaker window not installed; pic 7 new capacitor not installed left in box laying on bottom; pic 12 shows capacitor correctly installed, and shows bracket on pic 9 properly installed; pic 6 shows jumper harness not reinstalled! Other pics show trash left, etc. The heater repair was high!! $751.04, but I agreed too! But, it doesn't excuse being taken advantage of! Here is break down of the parts replaced on heater repair from vendor SupplyHouse.com 1-888-757-4774, I used a 33% mark-up! YouTube tutorial videos show the diagnosis and parts replacement as a couple of hours; yet the labor I was charged was $367.93! My opinion I was taken advantage of because of my circumstances! I hope that when vetting/checking background of recruiting vendors you recommend you thoroughly check them, especially for honesty! Thank You!
