"We’re currently remodeling two bathrooms under the same contract. The first bathroom is complete, and the second one just started this week. While their bid wasn’t the lowest we received, it felt fair and, in hindsight, definitely worth it. The project manager was an excellent communicator—knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and never pressured us to accept the offer. We’re extremely pleased with the quality of work on the first bathroom and are confident the second will turn out just as well. A tip for future clients: make sure you have all the necessary materials on hand. We did, and the team completed the bathroom ahead of schedule. The space is narrow, so the photo angles don’t do it justice, but I hope they still give a sense of the high-quality work delivered."

"These guys did a great job for me. Exterior/interior painting, replaced deck railings and installed new see through wiring to enhance the view to the lake. Replaced 1/3 of rotted siding with Hardie. Replaced solid cedar support beams around 4 huge double pane glass windows. Replaced 3 interior doors with 6 pane stained solid wood doors that they stained to match the existing cedar in the house. Replaced all light switches with new toggles. Updated lighting and recessed lights. Love the work they did . Anyone living around the lake knows how hard it is to actually find somebody to do good work. I I am just a part-time residenctbso I gave them a key after speaking with them I never had any second thoughts about it. Job took longer than anticipated but weather and other issues were major players. I wish I had found them years ago. I realize with this great review chances of me ever getting them again maybe slim because they will be so busy with all their new business if anyone is reading these reviews. Thanks guys for a job well done. Robin"

"My family was devastated by Hurricane Harvey. Our home received over 5 feet of water. So, this job was a huge undertaking. Ace, James Abrego, was very responsive and available to us. He addressed the issues as they arose. He is personable, professional, and dependable. He has a very good team of plumbers, electricians, painters, cabinet makers, tile people, glass people, etc. On many occasions him and his crew completed various projects cheaper than we expected. Ace was at our home almost daily throughout our rebuild, helping with suggestions, and ideas that were always spot on. Very refreshing in this day and age. The high quality of work performed turned our home back into a beautiful place to live and relax."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

One major drawback of a concrete tile roof is that the material is heavier than most other roofing materials, so there’s a good chance you’ll need structural reinforcements for your home before you can install the roofing material. Concrete tile roofs are also twice as expensive as asphalt shingle roofs, so even though they last much longer, you’ll see higher up-front costs and lower overall value from concrete roof tiles.

Tiling can be DIY with the right tools and skills, but challenges like ensuring evenness and appropriate adhesion often warrant professional handling.

No, you don’t technically need a cement backer board for a wall tiling project, but not using it risks disastrous moisture damage. Cement is naturally water-resistant, whereas drywall soaks it in, which can lead to warping or mold growth. Always use a backer board treated with a waterproof membrane for bathrooms and other chronically damp areas to ensure complete tile shower waterproofing.

Yes, it’s always a good idea to keep a box or two of spare tiles after a home renovation project. Tiles can crack from improper installation, heavy foot traffic, and impact from drops. Having some extra tile on hand can make replacement fast, easy, and affordable. Plus, some manufacturers might discontinue particular colors or styles, and slight variations in tile colors between batches could mean mismatched tiles even if your product isn’t discontinued. Having a few spare tiles in storage can help avoid these issues, as well.

To make a small bathroom look bigger, choose light-colored tiles in a medium- to large-format size. Lighter colors like white, cream, or light gray help open up a room, making it feel larger and more airy. While it may seem counterintuitive, small tiles can actually make a bathroom look smaller because the increased number of grout lines creates a busy pattern that visually shrinks the space. Instead, opt for medium- or large-format tiles for a more seamless, expansive appearance. For the best effect, pair your tiles with a matching or similarly colored grout to create a continuous surface that enhances the illusion of a larger area. Avoid dark colors, heavy patterns, and contrasting grout, as these can make the space feel more confined.
