"Sean was a pleasure to work with from the initial consultation to the final visit to wrap up the job.  His estimate was extremely detailed which other contractors did not take the time to do.  This allowed us to tweak the job as needed to stay within our budget.
He also explained to us exactly where we could view samples of the materials he had selected for transforming our yard.  He uses materials readily available and sourced locally.  His plant selections consist of native Texas plants which can survive the Texas season = summer. He listens very well, fully takes into account how you see your yard and makes suggestions during the entire process to help your vision of the perfect yard become a reality.  If you're like us where you had a vision of a much nicer yard but really didn't know what is needed to get there, Sean is who you need to hire!  We knew we needed to make changes to improve drainage and stop the erosion issues we were having but we didn't know how to really do that and make it look beautiful at the same time.  He mixed in different types of rock to compliment one another and make for a very striking but natural looking walk path with large limestone stepping stones.
His crew also helped transform part of our backyard into a playground for our young kids.  They built the border per my specifications using the 2x12 border system I had bought.  His crew brought in the playground mulch (11 cu yds) once I completed building the kids' playscape and sandbox... about 3-4 months after the project started.  Sean was patient with me taking such a long time to finish the work but never did he indicate he would not complete the work we asked of him.
The metal border he used around the beds is very thick and expected to last a very long time.  Much thicker than I saw at the home stores.  He also uses top of the line sprinkler components and adjusted our controller and zones to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.  We're using less water and the yard looks great.
His crew were all friendly and incredibly hard working.  The amount of rock and mulch they moved into our yard was incredible!
It has been almost a year since we had the work done and aside from the normal mulch degradation everything still looks great.

At our 1920â s home on the Southside of San Antonio, we have always struggled with our foundation ( pier and beam ) and over the past 20 years we have had numerous foundation companies try their hand at trying to â GET IT RIGHTâ ! In our experience with renovations and repairs, we have had our share of messy contractors who cut corners and HERCULES in not one of them! A few weeks after the work was completed, and with the continued rain we were having this summer in San Antonio, we worried about the original issue of rain/water going under our home and possibly effecting the work. We called Allen and explained our worry and he immediately scheduled a time to come to the home himself to make sure that his companies work was holding up. While here, Allen made some additional suggestions to ensure that we would not have to ever worry again about drainage no matter what kind of rain we received, at which point we decided on a French Drain. Allen immediately made calls to the office and to his foreman Felix to schedule us as soon as possible for the French Drain. We were comforted to know that this additional measure, that we mutually agreed upon, would reinforce what we had already done to the foundation of our home and save us money over time! Thanks Allen. "Mr. Gutierrez made an appointment to discuss the scope of the work and arrived on time. We discussed the scope of the work, various alternatives and the approximate price. He called the next day with a firm bid that was less than other vendors for the same work. On the scheduled work day, he arrived early. He leveled the area, created the proper grade for drainage and laid out the desired pattern of pavestones and rocks. Additionally, he developed a solution for a drainage issue I didn't realize I had and finished off by repairing the concrete. His final bill was within a few dollars of the promised amount after an adjustment for additional materials I wanted. In short, Mr Gutierrez did an excellent job and I would recommend him."
