GREAT, Bruce really knew his stuff. We liked that the company is small, and very responsive.

The locksmith arrived (masked) within an hour of my phone call and finished his work within thirty minutes. The new lock/knobset was keyed to my pre-existing key. The service was prompt and efficient.

The new key works well.

It went well. Very polite and personable. He looked at the three doors, explained the process, inspected the knobs and set to work. First setting the locks to match the key, then replacing the existing hardware with the new hardware. He did have to drill one new hole, which he did smoothly. Before leaving he cleaned up his work.

Same day service. Used coupon on their listing. Would definitely use again.

Great! The technician arrived an hour or so after we called. He called to let us know when he was on his way. He also gave us helpful suggestions about our gate lock and spare key. We will definitely call this company again if we need a locksmith. The cost seemed a little high but the service was great.

This business gets an A++ nuclear-glowing good review from me. I called re their re-keying a HON filing cabinet, and instead of selling me a trip to our office, he asked if there was a key code on the lock (yes). So I went there and he made three keys for me for $14.50, when I had expected to pay someone 100-$120?. Has our business from now on!

All went well. They were able to come out the same day. They made some adjustments and realigned the locking mechanism. The lock works very well now. Additionally, they assured me that the lock I have is good quality and there was no need to consider a replacement. I appreciated that honest assessment.

I called last week for a quote and got some great advice on what to expect, and what to buy. I called for the services, and had a locksmith at my house the same morning as the request.

Probably something I could have done myself but since I wasn't certain what the problem was, I wanted a pro to check it in case things went south if I took it apart.. No a good idea to suddenly find yourself with no way to lock your door!

Alan did a great job figuring out what modifications were required and had it working in a short time. Clearly the work of a true craftsman. As requested, called when he headed our way and was on time.

whichI have used Bill's Locksmith in the past. Our front door lock came apart in my hand. I called him and he said get the part from Baldwin and I can fix it. I e-mailed Baldwin and after identifying it they sent me the parts FREE! We couldn't get in touch with Bill after after we received it on the 31st of September we left a message. While I was at work my wife tried to find another locksmith and talked to 24/7 Mobile Locksmith. They came out and couldn't repair it they said it couldn't be repaired and we should get a new lock and door. They left us on Monday with no lock on our door and a bill for about $130.00 which Carole paid with a credit card. The next morning Bill called and told me he was booked solid, but he didn't want to leave me in the lurch and recommended 1st Quality Lock & Key. Carole contacted them they sent a man out and he fixed the lock and it works better than ever. These folks know what they are doing!

Called in the morning, needed an afternoon appointment, which is what I got.  Alan was very friendly and efficient.  Will definitely use them again, if needed.

It was okay. The service person did not give much of an explanation of what was broken in the lock nor offer any alternatives to how he handled it.

The technician Alan O'Daniel turned up promptly at the agreed time, evaluated the problem with our lock, had a replacement part with him and promptly replaced the worn out mechanism. He was courteous, pleasant, and very professional. First class service. I would definitely recommend 1st Quality Lock and Key to anybody looking for a locksmith.

We found First Quality Lock & Key on Angie's List and called them to explain what we needed, which was to replace a broken (20-year-old) deadbolt with a new one and to re-key it to existing house keys.  He gave us an estimated cost and we agreed on a time for him to come to our house to do the job.  He arrived within the specified window of time as promised.  There were a couple of unexpected issues to work through (incompatibility of some new hardware vs. the old; a bigger hole size required in the door; etc.), but the job was completed satisfactorily and for the quoted price.  We are pleased with the work.

They did a great job. We had no problems. They were on time. They did what they promised to do. The price was as quoted. They were polite, cordial and efficient while they were here.
