"The guys called ahead, came on time and were very polite and professional. I'm retired. Our son who lives far away send us a big new TV. Our old heavy wall tv needed to go, so we found these guys on Angie's list. They reviewed with us what needed to be done. Removed the old TV, re-used the old mounting brackets saved us ~$100, then they rewired everything behind the wall. Then they powered it up and showed us how to run everything. Now we have internet TV, YouTube, Netflix, Amazon and cut our cable bill."

"7/5/2015 - I contacted them on Angie's List and asked if they provided free estimates.
7/6/2015 - Someone replied back and said that they offer free estimates.
7/9/2015 - Andrew came out to inspect the attic and provide me with a quote. He came on time and gave me a quote.
7/9/2015 - I sent Andrew and email and attached another quote from one of their competitors on Angie's List.
7/10/2015 - He sent me an email with a competitive counteroffer. I accepted and scheduled an appointment.
7/17/2015 - Carl, the installation rep, called and confirmed the appointment.
7/18/2015 - Two installers came out (on time) and set-up the radiant barrier, solar fans, etc. I was originally told that it was only going to take 4 hours, but they ended up coming at 9:00 AM and leaving at 4:30 PM.  They placed a large sheet of plastic underneath the attic stairs to cover up my furniture. They were very nice and were very careful in moving their equipment (i.e. ladders) up the stairs to avoid damaging my walls, which I appreciated. After they were done, they cleaned up after themselves using a shop vac. Even though the installation took longer than I expected, I was happy knowing that they didn't try to rush through the installation. This is a huge investment and I felt better knowing that they took their time to do install it properly.
7/18/2015 - I made another appointment for them to come out to install an attic tent.  I showed them an offer from one of their competitors on Angie's List and they gave me a competitive price on one of their attic tents. They agreed to come out on Monday, 7/20/2015 to install the attic tent.
Overall, I am very satisfied. Their initial price quote was high. They explained that they were not the cheapest, since they have a lifetime warranty on their solar fans and they provide professional work. However, I am very happy that they were able to provide me with a competitive price quote."

"I received the fans in the mail and Rodney from Acetroves came out the next day. He was very professional and the area was clean after the fans were installed. I was definitely impressed that he came out early on a Sunday. The price was very reasonable and I would recommend him for any electrical projects. I am extremely grateful and he does excellent work!!"

"It was amazing !! Mike and Tylor arrived around 9:30 and quickly started on the Flood lights ,Mike mentioned that he needed to install electrical boxes on the flood lights overlooked by the previous home owners and there would be an additional charge per box , then he waited until I approved the charge, then jumped on the ceiling fan, installed lights on the front porch, then on to the garage . they were done by 1;00 !!! They were very professional, polite and left no mess anywhere on my property !! If I run into another problem with my electricity I will ALWAYS call them first !!!"

"I really wanted to provide a good review to these guys if only for the repeated effort they put in trying to get it right. Once the owner started to blame me and my house for the struggles they had, I decided I needed to write an honest review. So I have a house that was built around 2000 and it has rolled on texture and stamped ceiling texture that is applied using spackling compound. This is very common in this area and prior painters have had no problem matching it. In this case the crew admitted to me they were not professional painters, they did not to keep the area neat (drips on carpet, stain on pool cool deck (photo), stain on garage wall (photo), muddy boot prints on stair carpeting (see photo), etc,), they could not create a straight line in corners where two paint colors merge (see white/blue paint photo), and did not know how to texture. The wall texture had to be done over three times - that is literal. I showed them how to do it. They eventually got that fairly well figured out. The ceiling was another story - the area that had a sheet rock repair was retextured 5 times over three visits (see white ceiling / gray wall paint photos). At first it was totally terrible and I had to tell them what ceiling texture stamping tool to buy from Home Depot (pretty much the main one they sell). One painter told me he watched utube to try and figure out how to use that tool but did not have any experience with texture. He was not satisfied with his own work, to his credit. Finally the owner came and redid it. I was dismayed to find how rough it looks. I have hired someone to re do it. I can not recommend this company. If you do hire them, don't pay up front like I did."

"Sheldon Bush answered my call the first time I called him to schedule an appointment. I had purchased a special deal through Angie's List for 3 hours of grout/caulk work in a kitchen and/or bathroom. We made the appointment for the following Monday morning. Sheldon arrived on time and we discussed what I wanted him to to do. He showed me pictures of other work he has done and described what types of home repairs and custom work he does. I was pleased to know about his skills and did not think he was bragging as another reviewer said. Sheldon is in business for himself and if he doesn't sell his skills, who would? We got along great and I found him to be very personable.
Sheldon got the best caulk match he could at Home Depot and did the caulking. He also caulked along the baseboard/tile on the floors where old caulk had cracked. We had some settling damage that caused the ceiling and tile in the shower to separate slightly, so he repaired that as well. He also removed and glued the shelf back in and recaulked that.
He was here for about 4 hours and I think he did a very nice job. My husband was pleased as well.
I would definitely hire Sheldon Bush again. In fact he gave me quote on removing the carpet and installing hardwoods up the stairs. We will most likely do that after the holidays.

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

Coffered ceilings often come with additional embellishments and accessories, including tin panels, medallions, trim, molding, recessed lights, and finials. Whether you’re looking for a simple grid pattern or want an elaborate, decorative ceiling with all the bells and whistles, there are plenty of options to choose from.

To determine if your ceiling box can support a fan, you must check if it is specifically fan-rated. Manufacturers are required to indicate this on the box itself. You may need to remove the existing light fixture to look inside the ceiling box for an inscription stating it is rated for fan use. If you do not see this confirmation, the box is likely not strong enough and must be replaced with a fan-rated junction box. For a proper and safe installation, you should also use a fan brace to secure the new box between the ceiling joists, which provides the necessary support for the fan's weight and motion.

There are many types of ceiling fans available, each designed for different spaces and needs. Standard ceiling fans are the most common type and work well in most rooms. Low-profile ceiling fans are better suited for rooms with low ceilings. Smart ceiling fans can be controlled with a smartphone or voice commands. For larger spaces with ceilings between 10 and 25 feet high, large ceiling fans are ideal. Dual-motor fans have two motors to produce more airflow in multiple directions. You can also find energy-efficient or Energy-Star models that can be up to 60% more efficient, as well as fans with built-in lights or retractable blades.

The square footage of your room will dictate the correct ceiling fan blade size. For example:

  • Rooms smaller than 75 square feet require a fan that is 29 to 36 inches.

  • Rooms up to 175 square feet require 42- to 48-inch fans.

  • Rooms up to 350 square feet require 52- to 56-inch fans.

  • Expansive spaces over 350 square feet need a fan larger than 60 inches.

The direction you want your ceiling fan to move in depends on the season you’re in. During summer, you want it to move counterclockwise to produce a cooling downdraft. During winter, you want it to move clockwise to circulate warm air throughout the room.
