"The Service Tech came out and evaluated our outside compressor first. He checked the freon level, fan and fan motor. He said it appeared there was enough freon in the system and said everything seemed in good working condition but said the coils needed cleaning and quoted me a price for that. Then he checked the inside unit and said it was quite dirty inside and needed a good cleaning so he quoted me a price for that too. He said everything seemed in good working order but he asked if I would be interested in a quote for a new system and I said we were going to be moving in about 6 months and didn't want to spend too much money on it. He said it was a free estimate and there was no obligation. About two days later we got our estimate but haven't had anything done yet. Our system has been working fine but it just takes longer than we think it should to cool the house down sometimes. We are weighing our options right now."

"I love, love, love Grant Air Conditioning. They always come when they say they will, if not sooner, and the servicemen they send are always nice and efficient. "Excellent. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with Southern Air Mechancial LLC for my Air conditioning service needs. Out of habit, I had been using another vendor who recently told me in the last 10 days that my unit was oversized for my duct work, that it was going to take 6 hours to fix it, and was about to sell me a part with installation and labor that would have cost $1400. The tech said it would break in a year and the owner basically tried to sell me a new AC unit. Got a little suspicious after asking if my unit could be adjusted since it was a variable speed down to a 3 ton and the owner said, "well, let me send my tech again". I called Southern Air and spoke to Clint, the owner. I had purchased the unit 7 years ago and without hesitation, Clint visited with his technician, and replaced the part that was a known problem with my manufacturer. He warrantied the part and was back out in two days and had the system cooling within 2 hours. I will only use Southern Air Mechanical and now know how trustworthy they are and what excellent service they provide. You can't and will not go wrong by choosing Southern Air Mechanical for your AC needs."

"Air conditioning stopped working on a Wednesday. David sent out a technician that afternoon to confirm the compressor was bad. The next day a crew of 3 came out in late afternoon and installed a new A/C unit (old one was 28 yo) and a new furnace (old one was 30 yo). I stuck with RUUD/Rheem due to good experiences. The crew was efficient (3 hours to do both installs), the A/C is working great with cooler air and more forceful blowing, and they briefly checked the furnace operation also. My old unit was a 10 SEER operating probably at a 7 efficiency lately and my new unit is a 14.3 SEER. I found everyone polite from the owner to the workers, addressed my needs, and answered my questions. I still use my old thermostat which is Honeywell programmable while the one they gave me was Honeywell non-programmable. And BTW, David said I probably would raise my thermostat a degree or so with the new unit, and I did without any loss of comfort. Finally, the price was the best I found."
