"They did an excellent job. I bought the deal to have a new toilet installed in my master bathroom and I'm very satisfied with the results. It turned out that there were some imperfections with the way the builders/previous owners had set the plumbing in the ground which made the installation difficult, and they could have turned around and tried to charge me more for a difficult install, but the plumber worked extremely hard to get the toilet installed well, and he did a fantastic job.
I would use Parker and Sons again. In fact I'm seriously considering getting the toilet in my guest bathroom replaced too because I'm so happy with how this one turned out.

"Excellent job by all I worked with. My wife even commented how every one from the dig crew to plumber we are very nice. I have building experience but it was nice that the first service tech walked me through the issues and even let me view everything he was viewing. Gave me three solutions and good/bad of each. When it comes to the actual work it was done exactly as discussed. No surprises and no hidden charges. Nice to work with a service provider that does what they say, no surprises, and put my yard back to original. I will definitely use them again for my plumbing needs."

"Brendon came an evaluated our old toilet, and he found that it was in need of replacement. All of our options for the toilet replacement were clearly and politely explained to us by Brendon. He did a very professional job helping us with the process. I highly recommend C & W Plumbing, and I will be using them again for future plumbing needs."

"Showed up on time. Quickly diagnosed the problem with a toilet we had that was running constantly. I feel like I was charged for travel time, the plumber had to go get parts on two separate occasions. I would imagine any company would do the same though so it is what it is. Overnight the toilet started leaking. I left a voice mail message with CR and they were back on site within a few hours to fix the leak. There were no additional charges for the second trip to the house which I appreciated greatly. Overall a pretty good experience, would recommend CR to friends and neighbors."

"I had a toilet back up on Christmas Eve day and Benjamin Franklin was the only one that would come out to fix it. Jeff was very professional and kind and the price was just right (even on a weekend and a holiday). We will definitely call them again to fix any plumbing issues."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

While you might think that phantom flushes are simply eerie, they are bad for your toilet (and wallet). These flushes indicate a leak somewhere in the toilet system that needs repairing. These leaks can cause damage to your walls, flooring, and even your plumbing system. While one random flush every now and then might not seem like a big deal, leaving it unattended can lead to bigger problems.

Yes, you can pour water down the toilet to help it flush. For each flush, you’ll need 1 to 2 gallons of water for newer toilets or 3 to 5 gallons of water for older toilets. Rather than dumping the entire bucket in all at once, pour the water in slowly for the best results. If you’re pouring water down the toilet to help it flush after a clog, only use 1 gallon of hot water.

You should choose the type of toilet that meets your budget, fits properly in your space, and matches the rest of your decor. If you’ve never gone toilet shopping before, you might be surprised at how many options are available. Most homeowners choose a two-piece toilet, which is the industry standard, and a gravity flush system is the most common. However, dual-flush and low-flush toilets are becoming more prevalent as more people become conscious of water consumption.

After flushing the toilet, you should have about half a tank full of water. While the exact amount of water you’ll have will vary, you want to make sure you have enough to cover the bottom of the bowl and enough to sit above the P-trap drain. While low water in your toilet bowl can indicate a problem, too much water can also be cause for concern.

If you have to hold the toilet handle (also called the toilet lever) down to flush, you probably have a chain problem. A chain that cannot fully lift the flapper will close too early and not clear the toilet bowl. Try adjusting the chain length so there’s about ½ inch of slack.
