"The house was built in 1979 in the northeast part of Garland, over the last three decades it had developed foundation problems.  Last year I repaired the foundation and plumbing problems.  This year in June I contracted with Alvarez Painting Co. to repair the sheetrock.  He repaired the cracks, retextured, and painted.  I had asked him for walls that looked as good as the ones that you see in a new house model.  I got what I asked for and as of a month later I think they look better than some I see in model homes. The wood door had been installed by a different contractor who could not get the color right.  Paul's stripped it and restrained it, now it looks much better.  The window sill had been practical board that had gotten wet and blotted and was falling apart, Paul replaced it with Poplar which is a much better wood then I had expected.

He was our first visitor in our first home, and what a welcome visitor he was! :) Before visiting our home to take measurements, show us our options, and give us a final estimate, Claude asked for information about our house and windows. When he showed up, turns out I had NO idea what I was talking about, so Claude gently corrected the information I had shared and patiently explained the difference between windows. He provided sage advice but let me make the final decision on all of our options. He delivered exactly what we wanted and increased the property value of our home well beyond the cost of the shutters and installation! Unfortunately, there was a warehouse fire where our shutters were painted, so there was a delay in their delivery and installation. But they were worth the wait! Seriously, my father raves about our shutters. Our cats love our shutters. The seller of the house even loves them and has said he's proud to see us make this house our home with our shutters.
