"Working with Cedar Creek Fences was overall a fantastic experience. We wanted to replace our fence to build it higher and add a remote controlled driveway gate to close out our backyard. Dave responded to my quote request within the hour and took the time to walk thru each step of the process/his quote. Cedar Creek handled all of the necessary items to do prior to the actual fence replacement (getting utilities out to mark all the power/water lines). The actual fence replacement only took 3 days. The guys working on the fence were prompt and punctual when they came, and worked very quickly. The whole process went exactly as Dave described it when we initially met, there was no snags or delays at all. Also there were no hidden costs at the end of the process, we paid what our quote initially said. Overall we are very pleased with the finished product, and would highly recommend Cedar Creek Fences to our friends and family."

"They did an excellent job of installing 300 feet of 8 foot fence with three walk through gates. They also built two custom steel framed wood gates that are amazing and allow me easy access to my trailer. I had one challenging neighbor and both Alan and Heath went above and beyond to help him with his deck while installing my fence. It was a great experience and I would use them again without hesitation. I love my fence."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

In Denton, overwatering lawns near fences can cause wood rot and make posts unstable in clay soil. Skipping inspections after storms or delaying wood treatments allows damage to worsen. Using harsh cleaners can strip protective coatings. Allowing vines or heavy plants to grow on fences adds weight and traps moisture. Ignoring shifting or leaning posts and neglecting pest control can also reduce your fence’s durability.

Helpful?

New homeowners in Denton often start with privacy fencing to create a comfortable backyard retreat, especially in neighborhoods with close-set homes. If you have pets, a tall, secure fence is a priority. Pool fencing is essential for safety and required by local codes. Decorative fencing in the front yard can add curb appeal, and choosing materials that withstand Denton’s wind and sun will ensure long-lasting results.

Helpful?

In Denton, watch for signs like uneven ground, steep slopes, or areas where water pools after storms, as these can complicate fence installation. Expansive clay soil may require deeper posts for stability. If your property has older landscaping or visible settlement cracks, extra planning is needed. Always consider underground utilities and check for HOA guidelines that might restrict fence height or style.

Helpful?

In Denton, fencing maintenance is shaped by the region’s hot summers, unpredictable storms, and shifting clay soil. Inspect fences every few months for sun fading, warped boards, and storm debris. Power washing helps remove local red dust and pollen. For wood fencing, reapply stain or sealant every 2-3 years. Metal fences should be checked for rust, especially after heavy rain, and nearby shrubs trimmed to prevent moisture buildup.

Helpful?

For a smooth fencing project in Denton, begin by reviewing HOA requirements, as approval can take several weeks. Arrange for a property survey if your lot lines are unclear, especially in older neighborhoods. Schedule installation during drier months to avoid clay soil issues. Choose a contractor familiar with Denton’s unique weather and soil challenges, and always confirm the location of underground utilities before work begins.
