"Aaron fixed my faucet problem after another plumber could not. I filled out a form on HomeAdvisor and this was fixed promptly. I paid more than I would have liked, but I was tired of not being able to use this sink. My BlueFrog Plumbing experience was very good."

"I had contacted several plumbers, all except CR Plumbing wanted to come out and estimate the job and then schedule. CR quoted me a price and schedule on the first call, and within 3 hours the next business day, the job was completed. He demonstrated a high degree of professional and a very fair and competitive price. I would recommend CR Plumbing to anybody."

"Jesse came to asses and bid the job and gave me different options. I thought my water heater was 12yrs old-13maybe, but it was over 20. More bids/estates came in much higher than theirs AND I also learned from others I could buy my own water heater and pay a plumber for insulation only. So I got a new WH and an extended warranty on it. Mother Plumber sent a Fantastic-informative-polite technician Matt to install and warranted his work. AND THEN I learned about the membership without auto renewal AND I saved even more money on that! I can tell you, you can’t beat this company in price and coverage. And i just trust them. Trust is a big issue. They make money, but they give you so much more than the others and coverage thru membership that keeps you safe year after year if you’re smart. Thanks to Mother Plumber, I feel brilliant!"

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

For plumbing work in Denton, permits are required for projects such as water heater replacement, sewer line repairs, and new fixture installations. The City of Denton Building Safety Department issues these permits and conducts inspections at both rough-in and final stages. Only a licensed plumber can apply for major plumbing permits, ensuring compliance with Denton plumbing codes and local safety regulations. Always verify requirements with the Building Safety Department before starting work.

Helpful?

Plumbing work in Denton is influenced by the region's hot summers and occasional winter freezes, which can cause pipes to expand, contract, or freeze. The local clay soil is known for shifting, increasing the risk of slab leaks or pipe movement. According to the City of Denton Utilities Department, hard water is common, so using materials resistant to mineral buildup is especially important for long-term plumbing system performance.

Helpful?

For plumbing work in Denton, PEX piping is recommended for water lines due to its flexibility and freeze resistance, while PVC or ABS is ideal for drain and sewer lines. Because of Denton's hard water, the City of Denton Utilities Department suggests installing a water softener to protect fixtures and appliances. Choosing mid- to high-end fixtures and considering tankless water heaters can also help withstand local water conditions.

Helpful?

In Denton, common mistakes during plumbing work include neglecting to install water softeners, failing to insulate exposed pipes before winter, and attempting DIY repairs that require a licensed plumber. Overlooking signs of foundation shifting can also lead to major plumbing issues. The City of Denton Building Safety Department recommends regular inspections and hiring qualified professionals to ensure all plumbing work meets local codes and safety standards.

Helpful?

When planning plumbing work in Denton, homeowners often encounter unexpected issues such as foundation movement requiring pipe adjustments, slab leak repairs, or water damage remediation. Additional costs may arise from mandatory permit and inspection fees set by the City of Denton Building Safety Department, or from upgrading outdated plumbing to meet current Denton plumbing codes. Consulting with a licensed plumber can help anticipate these potential challenges.
