Water Main - Install, Replace or Repair
I have a mobile home. The only part I didn't like was that I was charged $355.00 just to pull the underskirting back so he could get under the trailer to see how he could fix the leak. He said it was in case there was any damage, but as simple as it was, I could have done it myself and saved the money. The rest of the job was $650.00, which I guess is reasonable, but it's a commercial company. Could I have come out ahead if it was a small business owner? The guy was courteous and on time.

"Thank you for rating and reviewing my company, Sonia. Let me attempt to explain our charges. We will send our plumber out to anyone whether it be a residential or commercial address. We do this absolutely free of charge. There is no service fee and certainly no trip charge. We do this because it is impossible to quote someone a price to make a repair over the phone. However, the free estimate is only if our plumber does not have to perform any manual labor whatsoever. In other words, he can view any plumbing faucet, commode, water heater, etc., and see the brand and/or model it is. This only takes a minute or two to do and then he is out to his van to configure for you what work needs to be performed as well as the cost to do it. If you agree he has you sign his work order for permission to begin the work and then collects upon completion of the job. However, there are some instances such as yours where he cannot view the problem. In your particular case he has to remove the skirting and then crawl under your home to view the problem in order to give you his estimate. This work has to be paid for. Other instances where he will have to charge someone is when he has to crawl through a scuttle hole in a pier and beam home and crawl under the house to view the problem. Or, crawl up into an attic. And even perhaps cut a hole in a wall to find a leak. Or to place a camera down a sewer line to find a problem All of these instances require work to get at a problem in order for us to give you a free estimate to make the repairs. I hope this helps. Their communication is awesome, from the first reach out to the close of it. Scott was who they sent out and he was so courteous and professional. He listened to our issues and laid out a couple options with quotes. Luckily the issue was fairly simple (for a plumber I’m sure!) so he was able to fix our shower. Reasonable rates along with awesome timing and a job well done.

I hired them to replace a leaky outdoor faucet. They came out the same day, and had their replacement part on their truck (it's a common repair). They were done in about an hour. I have no complaints. I'm happy with the repair. I would definitely call them for other needed repairs.
