"Ty came out and after talking to me and taking some measurements, since the whole house was on a tilt from front to back, respectfully suggested that it would cost too much money to repair and that it was probably not worth it on an older home. He suggested that if we can live with it, that we should just do some cosmetic repairs. He even made some suggestions on how best to make these repairs by not just spackling, but actually replacing sections of drywall since the points were already weak. I really appreciated the honesty and feedback on how best to proceed."

Customers say: True professional

"Crosstown came to inspect and validate the foundation work that we had done. They arrived on time and were very thorough in checking the levels on every part of our home. He answered questions that we had that were not even about the project he was checking. The guy was very personable and nice to our dog :) while he took measurements. We had a nice conversation at the end and I recommend highly choosing Crosstown for any needs you have!"

"Meeting project manager Aaron from Home Masters until the job was done has been nothing but pleasant. Aaron sent a project proposal for painting the exterior of our house as well as fence and gate repair and replacement with a line item of exactly what they would do along with the cost which was significant but reasonable. We went over the contract together and he answered all my questions. This way there would be no communication problems later. The painters were amazing! Very polite,(didn't smoke or waste time), very careful to protect our landscaping. Did a thorough job and made sure I was pleased. Can't say enough good things about them and the work they did. Our house looks great. The crew that did the fence work were also amazing. Unfortunately the day they needed to work the weather was chilly and wet, but they kept on working until they finished. They made the design of the new fence portion look just like the original. It's a great job. We couldn't be more pleased."

"I had the walkway from the house replaced, plus widened along with the entire driveway and sidewalks in front of the house during the last week of April and first week of May this year (2026). The previous concrete areas had shifted, sunk, along with cracking and tilling due to age, wear and tear plus multiple city water main breaks in the 50 years since the house was originally built. Jason L. at [email protected] did the estimate, work with his crew on site beginning to end. This included the estimate, a recent survey and permitting for what we were having done. He used all of his own equipment to remove the old concrete, setting up forms based on what we wanted enlarged in some areas and the setting up of the rebar, scheduling the delivery of concrete and getting the new wet concrete throughout where it was needed without damaging areas outside of the desired work spaces. I found Jason thru Angie's list and like others that spoke so highly of his work on the Angie site."

"If you ever need a foundation company this is bar none the absolute best. I met with all the local foundation companies with the best reputations - RamJack, Baird, GL Hunt and Olshan. The system FSS uses is not the least expensive, but by far the best. All components are galvanized to include the piping. The competitor's equipment could not even compare with FSS. Just as important, the crew who did the work on my home were absolute professionals in their trade. Andrew, Ricky and Gabe were the best. All of them have years of experience and the foreman, Andrew, has almost two decades of knowledge and hands-on experience, and knowing this eased any concernes I had. Once the fifteen piers were all in place, all piers were connected together via hydraulic hoses and pump. Only then was the house lifted simultaneously - both left and right sides. Initially, one of my major concerns was broken plumbing pipes, as I had read from many of their competitor's poor reviews. Once FSS began to lift the house it was done methodically and slowly, being extra careful to try not to break any pipes. No pipes were broken and my house was lifted an inch on the left front side and two and half inches on the right! FSS exceeded my expectations!!"

"This was a $30,000 job. We were pleased with everything except the planting. We feel things that grow fast were planted too close to other plants. We lost some plants due to being covered completely by overgrowth, this happened in less than a year. Otherwise Sam and his crew did a nice job. If I were to use them again I would need to be more knowledgeable about the plants he intended to put in."

Masonry questions, answered by experts

Homeowners in Conroe often choose natural stone walkways, brick garden walls, and outdoor kitchens for their masonry projects. Modern trends include blending native limestone with brick for a classic yet updated look, and adding fire pits or water features to outdoor living spaces. Permeable paver driveways and raised stone planters are also gaining popularity for their combination of style, function, and sustainability.

Helpful?

New homeowners in Conroe should prioritize checking existing masonry for cracks or drainage issues, especially around foundations and walkways. Addressing these early helps prevent costly repairs later. Next, consider adding a stone patio or brick walkway to enhance outdoor living. Installing retaining walls or raised garden beds can improve both landscape design and erosion control, making your property more functional and visually appealing.

Helpful?

Investing in masonry work in Conroe can make your home more appealing to buyers who value durability and timeless style. Features like brick siding, stone entryways, and custom patios are especially attractive in the local market. These upgrades not only enhance your property’s visual appeal but also signal low-maintenance living—qualities that help your home stand out and attract serious interest when it’s time to sell.

Helpful?

For maintaining masonry in Conroe’s climate, keep a pressure washer for cleaning, a soft-bristle brush for gentle scrubbing, and a masonry cleaner for tough stains. Store extra mortar mix and masonry caulk for quick repairs, plus a pointing trowel and wire brush for joint maintenance. Waterproof sealers and mildew treatments are also helpful, especially during humid months, to protect your masonry from moisture and weathering.

Helpful?

The longevity of masonry work in Conroe depends on using weather-resistant materials, proper site preparation, and skilled installation. Local clay soils require stable foundations to prevent shifting, while high humidity and heavy rains mean drainage is crucial. Choosing materials like limestone or brick that perform well in TX’s climate, along with regular inspections and sealing, will help your masonry structures last for years.
