"Technician was informative and thorough. He installed the extra panel and breaker for my whole house generator. Showed me how to use it and insured everything worked before he left. I will definitely hire him again for any future work."

"GenPro installed a Home Generator for us. Andrew Spitzmueller and his team were dependable and reliable. Did what they said they would do. When they encountered roadblocks with sub-contractors and permit inspectors, they worked diligently to resolve the situation. They are honest and trustworthy people. Highly recommend them."

"Ronnie, Pam, Cindy and crew were wonderful to work with.  There are several steps to the process, given potential permits needed and coordination of service dates with Center Point Energy.  They kept me informed and walked me through the process at each step.
I got bids from three companies.  Storm Guardian's bid was the lowest and included the most features.  It included Mobile Link, which the other two did not even mention.  Being able to remotely monitor the generator and receive alerts on my IPhone and on-line when the generator turns on/off is great.  Almost as important to me, they came through on their promise of near turn key.  The other bids had me doing a lot of the leg work with Center Point.  With Storm Guardian, I only had to make two phone calls and be home half a day to authorize Center Point's replacement of the gas meter.
I am very pleased with Storm Guardian and can recommend them without reservation.  Great work, great people.

"The electrician that came over was friendly, respectful and patient. After the new Door Ring camera was installed , he stayed there and helped me until the Door Ring camera in front of my house was perfectly matched to my home wi-fi and working on my cell phone as well. Great job! Iâ ll definitely will be using them again and I even received another quote from them for another install that Iâ ll have coming up soon."

Generator Install questions, answered by experts

Before installing a generator in Conroe, confirm all permits and HOA approvals are in place, and arrange for utility line marking. Review your property’s drainage and clearance needs, especially with the local rainfall patterns. Gather your electrical panel details, property survey, and backup power requirements. Early coordination with utility providers and thorough documentation help prevent delays and keep your emergency generator project moving smoothly.

Helpful?

In Conroe, select a weatherproof, corrosion-resistant generator enclosure to handle humidity and storms. Use a reinforced concrete pad at least 4-6 inches thick, along with vibration isolation pads and proper drainage. Choose copper wiring, NEMA-rated transfer switches, and stainless steel gas lines for durability. Flexible connectors and surge protectors help your emergency generator withstand frequent lightning and local climate challenges.

Helpful?

In Conroe, homes with pier and beam foundations or expansive clay soil often require reinforced generator pads for stability. Tight side yards, mature trees, or proximity to pools and septic tanks can limit safe generator placement. If your property is in a flood zone or has older wiring, plan for elevated pads and updated electrical connections to ensure reliable backup power during severe weather.

Helpful?

New homeowners in Conroe should start with a professional assessment of their electrical system and determine if natural gas or propane is the best fuel source for their area. Identify which appliances or systems need backup power, such as HVAC and refrigerators. Choose between a standby generator or whole-house backup, and address site prep, including drainage and pad elevation, to ensure reliable performance during local storms.

Helpful?

For a seamless generator installation in Conroe, begin planning well ahead of storm season. Work with local professionals familiar with area codes and soil conditions. Follow a step-by-step process: site assessment, permits, utility marking, site prep, electrical upgrades, and final system testing. Keep clear records for warranties and insurance, and communicate with your HOA and neighbors to avoid unexpected issues during your backup power project.
