See that man in the middle? Yes, that’s me…Ryan Stegent. And, yes, those are ALL my kids! Those children are the ones that motivate me to work hard and do the very best job I can every single time. Oh and by the way, I’m a 3rd generation plumber with over 30 years of experience. I’m a product of over 60 years of plumbing and that is something you can put your trust in! Please call or click for a free estimate today!

"I can’t say enough about Ryan Stegent Plumbing!!! As with any home service, one expects courtesy and care for one’s property. From the first contact to project completion, Ryan was a consummate professional. Ryan and I were in continuous communication related to the job. He was very responsive to questions and flexible to my schedule. When he got to my house, he had everything he needed to do the job and did exactly what I asked him to do. No negotiating an easier path. I really appreciated that. When all was said and done, Ryan had done a superb, professional job despite the heat in the attic (over 120 deg F). If one can do a professional job under difficult conditions, I’d trust him to do any work on my house. I would hire this guy in a second for any future plumbing job. Oh, it was also a nice touch that he charged what he said he would."

We have been in business in Brazos County since 2002. We take care of all of your septic system needs.

"Doug Hensarling/ASIM has maintained numerous systems for me over the past 10+ years, both residential and commercial and has done a good job on them all. This is the first time that I was actually able to use him for a completely new system and he did a great job. He was easy to deal with for scheduling, and his crew showed up to do the work when he said they would. Doug was on-site every day to manage his crew and get the job done efficiently. He’s extremely customer focused and he worked hard to make sure that I knew what was going on throughout the whole process. One of the tasks involved with a new system installation is interfacing with the County Health Dept. and their inspectors. An application has to be submitted to the county prior to construction along with a soil analysis and a complete set of plans detailing the location of the tanks and the septic field relative to the building and property lines. Doug took soil samples from several potential locations, then came back and helped me choose the best location based on the site and soil analysis. Once that was determined, he was able to complete the design and submit the application for me. Doug knows the process and the relevant regulations so he handled all of this for me which 1) took away the burden of having to deal with a gov’t agency I’m unfamiliar with and 2) gave me peace of mind knowing that it would be done right. The inspector I spoke with during one of the various observations told me that Doug is one of the best contractors they deal with. Once we got to the actual installation, it went smoothly. The weather has to be considered when doing this kind of work and once it’s started, it has to get done as quickly as possible otherwise you end up with a real mess. They dug the hole and got the tanks set all in the same day. Connection to the building and septic field layout took a couple more days and the final day was for clean up and testing. Overall, they were only onsite for a week and made short work of a pretty large job. As I said earlier, I’ve worked with Doug for over 10 years now and he’s always done me right. He answers calls and texts at all hours and has never let me down when I had an issue or needed help. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for system maintenance as well as someone who needs a new system."

Sewer cleaning services FAQs

In most states, companies that perform sewer cleaning services don’t need specific licensing, but you should always ensure you hire a licensed and certified plumber to get the work done. You can use our state licensing tool to check whether the potential sewer cleaning company holds a plumber’s certification and license. Hiring a certified sewer cleaning services guarantees that the work will be done safely, there won’t be additional damage done to your home, and the problem will be fixed.

The average cost to snake your main sewer line is around $250 for a simple snake. Most sewer line specialists charge between $45 and $200 per hour for main sewer line snaking, so the time involved plays a major role. The price you’ll pay will depend on the severity of the clog, the item causing the backup, how long it takes to remove the item, and more. A more severe issue that requires unclogging a main sewer line will cost $3,100 on average.

There are a few signs of a clog in your main sewer line that you should keep in mind.

Common signs of a sewer line clog:

  • Multiple fixtures in your home drain slowly

  • Drains in your home gurgle during or after draining

  • Water backs up into your sewer line cleanout

  • You notice foul odors in your home

The best way to confirm that your main sewer line is clogged is to hire a professional plumber to assess the situation and use a camera to inspect the inside.

In most cases, drain cleaners will not clear a clogged sewer line, and they’re likely to damage your plumbing. Sewer lines are several inches wide, meaning any material that clogs it will need to be large. Drain cleaner can work on small clogs, but it usually won’t clear a larger one in a sewer main. Drain cleaners can also easily damage and corrode your plumbing with prolonged contact, and a clog will keep the cleaner in contact with the pipes for an extended period. Hire a professional sewer cleaner instead for a safe fix.

You should not attempt to snake your sewer yourself. Accessing and snaking your sewer requires heavy-duty equipment, and while renting is possible, misusing it can damage your sewer main and leave you with very expensive repair costs, not to mention potential environmental issues and severe water damage. Accessing your sewer also exposes you to hazardous sewer gasses, and failing to seal the sewer properly after work can be very dangerous. It’s always best to hire a professional sewer cleaner near you to handle this type of work.
