Yes, I recommend this pro

Have had 5 years of good service with very little staff turn-over. Always very timely.

I have used this company for two years to service/maintain my pool.  The service is inconsistent and, most of the time, lousy.  (When they do a good job cleaning the pool, it really does look nice.)  One of the technicians did not know how to use the smart pump that this company installed in the first place, and thus, he left my pump off for a month while I was on vacation in the summer.  Needless to say, my pool looked HORRIBLE - algae and black soot all over the place.  I was horrified.  Yet, the company claimed imy pool was getting cleaned once a week during that period.  And the owner, who came out when I called, talked down to me by suggesting that I did not understand why the condition of the pool was not their fault; it was the hot weather.  Furthermore, the services they record on their weekly maintenance card do not reflect what they did or did not do.  For example, the technician would state that he backwashed the pool, when in fact, he had not done so in weeks. Sometimes a technician would show up - when he did not know I was at home - and I caught him leaving after only five minutes, yet claimed he did an hour work of work.  They did expensive services without informing me first and then sent me large invoices.  I have given them many chances, but now I have no choice but to switch companies.  I do not recommend this company.

The Pool Guy took over maintenance for our home pool over a year ago.  During that time, The Pool Guy maintenance service has continually failed do deliver an acceptable service.  The primary issues involve:
1. Overflowing the pool by leaving the water filling (5 times over a period of 3 months)2. Leaving the water turned on and the valve in backwash (draining city water directly into the sewer system)3. Performing over $600 of hardware installation without securing permission to perform the work, then requesting that we pay for it.4. Leaving trash and DI powder in the back yard
The final straw was when they left my valve in a backwash  position and then the pump ran the water level below the side intakes and then ran without water circulating in it for hours.
Overall, I would suggest avoiding this particular service until they figure out how to maintain at least a minimum quality level.  The recent advertisements at home football games would suggest a company focus on growth.  It seems, from my experience, that this focus has come at a cost to quality.
