"Adrian Villegas was our technician. He was there to check for plumbing issues and turn off and bring the gas back on after the actual lift. He even suggested and disconnected a gas lamp line that was off but not disconnected to stop the chance of a future gas leak. When he went to restart the hot water heater, the actuator switch had frozen so he quickly went and got a new one so we could get our hot water back on. We were pleased with his helpful attitude and attention to detail.

"I had a great experience with the team who first came out and identified the reason I had no hot water to the replacement of the water softener which was the problem. I decided to replace the water heater as well because of its age."

"Legend Plumbing will always be my first call for plumbing needs. Awesome response time and very happy with the outcome. First time was installing a new water heater which also added the proper safety drainage I didn't have before. This time Jesse took over my kitchen faucet project that I was likely going to make worse before having to call a professional. Appreciated his expertise and advise. Installed new (very much needed) valves as well as the new faucet, after removing the old one that had rusted under the sink making it near impossible for someone without the proper tools. Highly recommend Legend Plumbing."

"I am very pleased with Haul Away Junk Removal. Was extremely easy to communicate and even set up same day pick up. Price was great plus I didn't have to drive to the dump myself. Had a couch and single chair. I even decided to add more in once he was here for some extra money. Prices was less than 10 minutes. Very professional. The dump prices are getting so high now this is definitely the way to go and this is the guy to use. I asked for a card because I know I will be using them again in the future."

"DAV Construction was hired to replace a damaged roof and gutters. They did a professional job of discussing the bid with me. However, this was more than a roofing job. I had an issue with water seeping through my second floor brick that continued to damage my interior and patio cover. We all thought it was a poor trim installation. Alex took a hard core position of helping me correct the problem. We had to repair any openings in the existing brick and applied a water sealant. I even had a phone call several months later after a heavy rain storm to see if we had any visible leaks. All was good and the extra effort was was high on the scale of taking care of the customer. I would personally recommend Alex and his team to anyone."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Pop-up drains come in various sizes, including 1.25", 1.5" and 1.625". Choose a drain the same size or smaller than the hole in your sink.

Installation typically takes 1-3 days, while repairs can be completed in a few hours to a day.

Whether a pot filler is worth it depends on your cooking habits, budget, and kitchen layout. For avid home cooks who frequently prepare pasta, soups, or stocks, the convenience of filling large pots directly on the stove can be a significant benefit. A pot filler can also add value to a home, attracting potential buyers with its combination of luxury and utility. However, the installation can cost around $800. The return on this investment is highest in larger kitchens where the sink is far from the stove. In smaller kitchens, where the sink is nearby, a pot filler might be perceived as an unnecessary feature by some homeowners or potential buyers.

If your sink is on an exterior wall that isn’t insulated, or if pipes travel through a cabinet against an exterior wall that prevents heated air from circulating around the pipes, the pipes can freeze, causing them to burst. The best way to avoid leaking sinks is to insulate the pipes and open cabinets in the short term to warm the water line up and prevent freezing.

The average cost to hire a plumber is typically between $45 and $200 per hour, with a common average rate around $125 per hour. This cost can vary based on your location, the plumber's experience, and the complexity of the job. Rates are often broken down by experience level: an apprentice may charge $45 to $90 an hour, a journeyman $60 to $110 an hour, and a master plumber $80 to $200 an hour. While hourly rates are standard, some plumbers may charge a flat fee for routine projects or offer project-based pricing. It's also common for plumbers to charge a minimum service or trip fee. For reference, some typical flat-rate costs for common jobs include: drain unclogging ($220), leaky faucet repair ($270), burst pipe repair ($400), toilet repair ($300), and water heater repair ($600). Note that these rates are for standard service hours; emergency, holiday, and after-hours calls will cost significantly more.
