"William, Carl and thier crew are first rate. The quality of thier work is incredible. They are accomodating, professional, and are very fair with their pricing. The construction quality was so good on my bungalo that was built a year and a half ago, I decided to have the patio enclosed as well which was recently completed. I have braging rights in my neighborhood now. Very soon they will be replacing all th exterior of my home with "Hardywood" and painting. Please include these folks a try with you bidding process.I am very happy I found them. Joseph S."

"He was friendly, professional, timely and happily tackled anything I threw at him. He kept my budget in mind during the whole process and did a great job keeping expenses down. He and his crew were a pleasure to work with and I would hire him again in an instant. I can’t say enough good things about my experience with him."

"Terry was fantastic! He priced my project between $20-25k less than competitors and did more than what would have been done with the others. He kept me updated. There were a couple of setbacks but in a project for a split garage with a room, that's bound to happen. He went over everything with me. I could text him whenever and he would get back to me ASAP. We love our garage and room! It was beautiful when it was all done and works perfectly! In the room, we put in 2 windows and a split AC unit. The garage only had the garage door so he went above and beyond and got us a battery in case of a power outage. I highly recommend T5T Contracting, LLC."

"Bordeaux Luxury Homes did a phenomenal job on our remodel. Rick told us weekly what to expect and they delivered. Carissa made the job of picking out faucets, countertops, and all the “pretty necessities” fun. Thank you for all the hard work and hand holding! We love our new home!"

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently had TTT Construction build a deck for my home, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, professional, and stress-free. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were outstanding, and the finished deck exceeded all of my expectations. The owner, Tristan, was great to work with. He was honest, responsive, and made sure every part of the project was done right. It’s clear that he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about his customers. He kept me informed throughout the project and made sure I was completely satisfied with the final product. If you’re looking for a reliable construction company that delivers quality work at a fair price, I highly recommend TTT Construction. I’ll definitely be using them again for future projects!!"

"Ed and the SPS team did a great job on a tricky garage addition I needed. They poured the concrete slab in one day and even modified the dimensions on the fly to better fit my project. Ed and the team that built the addition then figured out that it was better to tie into my roof so I would have more height and storage space than I had thought. He suggested custom double doors within the budget and finished in the promised time. The guys were on time, considerate, cleaned up every day and worked hard. I will have them do more for me in the future!"

"Robert and his crew did some extensive remodeling for my needs. He installed a new full bathroom, remodeled one bathroom for wheelchair access, and remodeled a third bathroom. His crew installed new tile floors, and repaired the old tile floors. They installed wide doors exterior doors to accommodate wheelchair. And they enclosed a patio into an insulated sun-room. Robert was easy to work with, and was real reasonable. He also did a lot of work under Veterans Administration and ADA guidelines and was qualified and approved to do veteran Adapted Housing. I highly recommend Robert and his crew."

Garages questions, answered by experts

Sheet metal garage doors, particularly steel and aluminum, have the cheapest materials and installation. Experienced homeowners may cut and shape the metal themselves; however, you can buy prefabricated metal from a hardware store or pay a metal fabricator to shape the metal to your specifications. Steel and aluminum garage doors can cost as little as $500 and go up to $3,000.

Sliding garage doors aren’t popular because when they can be inconvenient—they require you to leave your car—if they’re manual. But, if they’re automatic, they’re much more expensive than a conventional tilting door. Some find the sliding door less aesthetically pleasing than a tilting or barn door.

It’s best to prevent cold air from entering your garage through the space underneath the garage door. Stop cold air in its tracks by adding or replacing the weatherstripping underneath the door seal. You can also add weatherstripping along the sides and top of the garage door to prevent air leakage, and it’s a relatively easy DIY fix.

It’s possible to use a torch to melt ice on your garage door, but we don’t recommend it. It’s very easy to bring the flame too close to the door, which can melt the weather stripping or even the garage door itself. You’ll melt ice quickly with a torch, but the damage you’re likely to cause can end up costing you a few hundred dollars to fix, which isn’t worth it. Instead, we recommend pouring hot water over the frozen area or using a less intense heat source, like a hair dryer or space heater.

If push comes to shove, and you need to manually open your garage door, then you should be able to do so. To manually open your garage door, first, make sure that the door is in the down position. You’ll need to unlock your garage door opener’s emergency release mechanism, which is typically a red robe that you can find on the carriage. Once you’ve pulled the cord, you can manually lower the door.

If your garage door is stuck in an open position, consider contacting a professional to safely release the opener.
