"I can't say enough about how beautiful my kitchen looks. Ebby made a suggestion which gave me more countertop space. It gave my kitchen a more updated look than I had ever dreamed. I sent pictures to family and friends right away. He tore out the old countertop down to the base MDF that the builder had used. He custom cut 3/4" plywood onsite. I could see the sturdiness of the counters before he had applied the laminate. The seams were not visible unless you were closely examining the counter. The edges of the counters were just as beautiful as was the backsplash. His work was impeccable. Regarding customer service, he kept me notified on when the materials would be in as I had a personal schedule he had to work around. His professionalism was outstanding. In the end, he was hooking up the pipes to my new sink. I didn't get new pipes purchased, so one of the old ones cracked as it was being tightened. At 7:00 at night he was insistent that he go from my house in the country to the nearest town to find that part so I was not left with a problem. Luckily, my neighbor down the road is a plumber and I got him to come over with the part. I don't think Ebby was going to leave me with a problem that night. Service people don't do that these days. He wasn't leaving till his job was done well. In the end, he made sure that he and his helper left the area clean of any mess. You won't regret hiring him for your job. The quality of work blew my mind. I just never expected the extra mile he goes to make the project everything you expect and more."

"The day the tile wall in my master bathroom collapsed when I leaned on it turned out to be my lucky day—it led me to Joe Maxwell and Tile & Grout Solutions, Inc. Joe and his installer Kiki (a tile genius!) built a beautiful walk-in shower where the tub used to be. That shower became what was until recently the best-built part of the house—now it is joined by the gorgeous porcelain tile floors throughout our downstairs and on our stairs! Joe was a delight to work with from the very start. His estimates were thorough, and he explained every step in the installation process, including the timing and the materials needed. Joe, Kiki, and their assistant tiler Leo were meticulous in their work, and they adapted adroitly to the unexpected—such as when they pulled up some old tile and found a hole through the slab with a water pipe running through it! The only reason there wasn’t a fountain in my entryway that day is because of Joe’s and Kiki’s ears: before pulling up the old tile, Joe happened to drop something on the tile covering the hole. When the thing hit the tile, it went “plink” instead of “thunk.” Joe and Kiki looked at each other in alarm—“plink” indicated a hollow spot under the tile where it should be solid. So, instead of using a jackhammer to pull up the tile, they gently used a hammer and scraper. Fortunately, that hole was the only surprise, and the rest of the job went smoothly. Every evening, my husband and I come home and remark on how beautiful our floors are—we are thrilled! We hope Joe and Kiki can put up with us when it comes time to tile our upstairs! They were very helpful in explaining all the different carpet and padding options. When it was time to install, the installers showed up on time. They were very professional. They carefully moved all the big furniture out of the way before they started each room.. When they were finished, they took care to make sure everything was put back exactly the way I wanted it. The carpet is installed flawlessly. I can’t see any seams and the edges around the baseboards are all tucked in perfectly."

"After a high-pressure sales pitch presented as an estimate, a "3 days tops" job turned into a month. The materials are good quality and the overall end result is fine now, but it was a circus during the install! First, someone drove a screw through the wall straight into an electrical outlet on the other side! Thank goodness the house didn't burn down when it shorted out inside the wall. After going back and forth with a supervisor "Aaron" who was never even there during the work, saying that it was an existing problem in the electrical system, it finally got fixed. When there's a brand new 3-inch screw going through the box, that is definitely not an existing wiring problem! Apparently they ran out of the screws they were supposed to be using and tried to improvise... Then, 2 floor tiles were cracked during the job and they had to be replaced. Luckily, the same tiles were in stock at the local big box so it was able to be repaired without changing the entire floor, but tack on another day of work. Then, the shower doors were installed upside down and backwards, so another trip had to be made for that to be remedied AFTER they had to order a completely new set of doors! So for 2 weeks we were shimmying into the shower behind a shelf at the back wall of the bathroom. All in all, for the price you pay for this type of shower, I'd expect the workmanship and attention to detail to be much better. The crew was very nice during the process and did eventually own up to and fix the flubs, but if I had to do it all over again, I'd buy a top of the line kit from a big box and have an independent contractor install it for half the cost. I was also encouraged to leave positive reviews in exchange for a gift card, which would explain a lot of the 5 star reviews around the net..."
