"Listen folks, I got me an education about cutting down my trees. I just wanted them gone. But these professional guys that know there stuff advised me appropriately. I had know ideal how the process work an trimming are cutting down trees. They wasn't bother by me observing the process. I was amazed how the crew used equipment with ease. This technic come with experienced. And most of all they was affordable and reasonable. And gave me an deal all along the way. If it was any one else, like these large tree companies, I couldn't afford it. So it pays to hire the little guy, that dose big company work. And I give a big thumbs up for these guys. For a outstanding job, and will contact them in the future. If anyone ask me about who do trees and yard work. I will say "BSB CONCRETE & LANDSCAPING, RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL. Check them out all year round. Sidewalks, driveways, patios, slabs, and more. Their not just your handy guy, their your handy man: call 808-445-7356 or 808-743-6236."

"They sent a very kind gentleman out to our home for an FREE estimate, and we were just blown away at the knowledge and amazing customer service we received! Top notch, they went over all their discounts, how the awning would work and look on our home. Even showed us a virtual picture of the awning on our house!!! We were given an install date the same day of our appointment with even better turn around times!! Overall a great experience, everyone must get a Marygrove Awning!!"

Patios questions, answered by experts

In most parts of the U.S., adding a screened-in porch requires a building permit. Since this type of project often involves structural work and changes to your home’s footprint, homeowners should adhere to local guidelines. That said, permit rules can vary widely depending on where you live and how extensive the project is. Before you start sketching out plans or ordering materials, check in with your city or county’s building department to avoid headaches, fines, and potential structural issues down the line.

The least expensive way to enclose a porch is with screens. These protect the room by preventing insects from entering and, if you live in a warm climate, provide excellent airflow during hot summer months. Screens cost far less than any other alternative, so if you are against getting permits, spending too much, or enclosing your porch in walls or glass, screens are the best choice.

A solarium is a luxury addition to a home and can be an excellent breakfast area or reading space, but that doesn't mean there aren't disadvantages. For one, since the room is made of glass it can look dirty very quickly. Another disadvantage is solariums are notoriously hard to balance temperature and will most likely significantly increase your heating and air conditioning bill. Unlike a greenhouse addition to a house, a solarium won’t help you grow as many plants.

A sunroom offers an additional indoor space to rest, dine, or host guests, all while inviting in as much sun as possible. Either built like an enclosed porch or a fully insulated home extension, a sunroom features floor-to-ceiling windows or screens that create an open, bright design while still remaining protected from the elements and bugs.

Yes, porches require foundations. The type of foundation required, however, is determined by the type and use of the porch. For example, a screened-in porch won’t require a new cement foundation. However, if you turn your porch into a sunroom or plan on making it a living space, then chances are you need a foundation that’s more permanent than piers and posts.
