"Built a metal carport, and then I needed it extended. On extending it , could not put post in certain areas. They came up with a creative and pretty way to do this."

"Louis has been our go to handyman for years and I wouldn't even think of hiring anyone else. He can install or repair almost anything and is very knowledgeable in many areas of construction. Over the years he has repaired drywall, installed ceiling fans and light fixtures, repaired a wooden gate and installed a much better latch, installed baseboard and put up heavy duty shelves in our garage. He is always prompt and responsive, but most of all just a wonderful human being. Always friendly and not being done with the job until you are totally satisfied. Call Louis...you will be glad you did!"

"The person who came took the time to do the job thoroughly. He also showed me places where I needed to have some rotten wood replaced to help with the weatherization.  I was very happy with the job he did.

"After a reasonable estimate I hired the company to replace the siding on the chimney. Once scheduled Toby and his dad spent one day completely replacing and painting the chimney siding and trim. I had $200 left in my budget and at Toby's suggestion decided to replace the rotting porch column post. They bought the post and end caps as well. I kinda felt bad because they didn't receive that much for the labor on the column installation. HIGHLY recommended!!! Toby and his father are down to earth and this family takes pride in the work they do. What's more..they Enjoy it!"

I have been doing construction projects for 25 years, from constructing homes, apartments, sheds and barns from the ground up, to room remodels. I also trap wildlife and do home seal ups to keep the critters out, which I have been doing for 12 years. This includes anything as small as rats and bats to coyotes and hogs. Snakes are also no problem. You can depend on us to provide a high quality service at a fair and honest price. We understand that the future of our business depends upon our reputation and that is why customer service is by far our highest priority. If you are looking for a professional you can trust, please call today to schedule a no-obligation estimate!

"William Langley and his co-worker Charles replaced an existing, poorly designed & built deck with a very sturdy and attractive deck and stairs. Will consulted with me throughout the process, making sure that any questions/options were thoroughly considered, and worked through unrelenting Austin heat. He is a trustworthy and skilled professional, and I would definitely recommend his company."

Small jobs welcome

"Wally was the kindest and most professional handyman I've ever worked with. I'm a realtor and property manager and I've worked with several contractors over the past decade and he was one of the most kind, patient, courteous and knowledgeable guys I've ever worked with. Tammy was great and responsive. My family just moved to Austin and I've found my go to company!!! I just hate that I didn't have enough cash to give Wally a worthy tip!!! Don't look any further call Mr. Handyman of NW Austin. The very, very best!!"

Customers say: Quality work

"We had a wonderful experience working with Steve and Cassie! We had a tricky build --squeezing a multi-level deck between two old trees, existing landscaping, two pergolas and still finding a way to include my wish list of seating, privacy, and a big stock tank pool in the center. Steve saw my vision and made it come to life. There was a solid plan in place, but they were also flexible. I highly recommend and would certainly use them again!!"

Pole Barn Builders questions, answered by experts

American badgers sleep in the burrows they dig, which can be extensive, featuring multiple chambers and tunnels. Badgers prefer to excavate their dens in open grasslands, prairies, and fields where the soil is easy to dig. They are solitary animals and usually have several burrows within their territory to use as needed. These underground homes provide them with a safe and secure place to rest during the day and to raise their young.

You can use a variety of wood to build a barn door, but the most common options include 1-by boards and 2-by boards for the backing and the decorative boards on the front of the door. Softwoods like pine will save you some money and should hold up well, while hardwoods like maple and oak will stand up to more wear and tear. You could also build the backer out of plywood to minimize the cuts you need to make. Whatever you decide on, make sure the width of the wood is compatible with the mounting brackets you buy.

Building a treehouse can vary in difficulty depending on factors such as design complexity, size, and the builder’s woodworking experience. Basic treehouses with simple designs can be manageable for DIYers with some carpentry skills, while more elaborate structures may pose challenges. Adequate planning, research, and careful execution can make the process more manageable, and resources like premade plans or professional assistance are always available for additional support.

Prefab sheds can be worth it, depending on your needs and goals. If you want to build the shed yourself or have a quick project turnaround, then a prefab shed will likely be worth it. If you want something more customized, then starting from scratch may help you achieve your goals better than a prefab could.

You may need a local building permit and written permission from your homeowner’s association to install a shed, especially if you’re doing any substantial land clearing or installing electricity or plumbing. Permit requirements vary between municipalities, so research the local laws before starting your project. If you hire a contractor to build the shed, they can help determine which permits will be necessary.
