"M & M Roofing, siding & windows replaced the builders’ grade pressed paper with James Hardie siding. It was painted and sealed. They added 6” gutters with leaf blaster plus screens. The crew that did the Hardie siding did a beautiful job. They were meticulous in their installation and cleanup. The painters that came in behind the siding crew did a wonderful job. There were no overruns and they matched our colors exactly. The gutter crew came in after the roof was replaced and were finished in a few hours. Gutters look great and were put in professionally. All crews did a great job cleaning up. Mike recommended two other craftsmen to replace the chimney cap and tile on the front porch. Both jobs were done very professionally and were reasonably priced. Thank you, Mike, for a job well done."

"I remolded the outside of a 38 year old two story home. I received ten different bids for replacement of windows, siding, roof and addition of a screened enclosure. I chose Colony Builders for siding and screened enclosure and later added a roof replacement. The window replacement company was chosen before I met with Mr. Ali Zare the President of Colony Builders. After windows installed-the siding was replaced. During the installation I requested a change in style nail and caulking to be used. Mr. Zare responded promptly and instructed the change. After siding completed I had planned to paint the house the same color. Mr. Zare tactfully suggested I consider a different color and I am extremely pleased with his suggestion. The work team that installed the siding and paint were excellent. After siding completed a different work crew was used to install screened enclosure by Metals USA. Mr. James Carnes has 20 plus years experience and did a superb job."

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"
Lone Star Solar Screens was contacted for solar screens that were missing on my home, partial side and partial front. In the beginning, things were great.  Paul came out and gave a bid on Friday, October 14, 2011, after I showed him exactly which windows that needed the solar screens. He said he didn't have a ladder, but when I give the go ahead someone will come back out and measure the size of  the dormer windows in front of home.  He was a very nice and friendly gentleman.

I  decided to wait and receive other bids from other companies.  About a month afterwards, I received a letter in the mail reducing the price $50 from the original quote, so I decided to go ahead and schedule the work and get the job done before the holidays.

Two guys came out to remeasure the windows that needed the solar screens. I left to go on an errand - leaving the guys to the measurements.  Later, I received a call stating that they didn't have anyway of reaching my dormers, and, Did I want to go ahead and get the others done?  I was shocked and disappointed.  I said "No Thank You, If you can't do all of the windows that are needed, I don't want any done at all!"

I still have yet to understand why Lone Star Solar Screens were not able to install solar screens on my dormer windows."

I give this company an A+ five star rating. The professionalism was excellent and it was wonderful to deal with a company that gave you the bottom line cost  without giving a cost of each window and then adding on things such as clean up and haul off old windows. There was great follow up from the day of my purchase until all work was completed. The installers gets a A+ five star rating also. The installation was done in  a timely manner. The clean up was excellent and installers wanted me to inspect everything to make sure all work was done to my satisfaction.

I would just like to add that once I made the decision that I wanted the Grand Estate Windows by Simonton I did get three quotes and Pay-less Siding Corp gave the best quote.

Several neighbors have commented that they really like my windows and requested a  business card from this company.

I am sure if you are in the market for new windows or hardiiplank siding you will have a very positive experience dealing with this co.

Siding questions, answered by experts

Stucco is considered a type of cladding because it includes a built-in ventilation layer, a weatherproof membrane beneath that, and, often, a layer of insulation to improve building efficiency. The multiple layers of stucco—the scratch coat, the brown coat, and the finish coat—also create a more complex building membrane, so it’s more accurate to call it cladding. However, homeowners and contractors alike refer to stucco as siding.

How long siding takes to install depends on various factors, but averages seven to 14 days for a 1500 to 2000 square foot home. You may have a longer installation timeline if your house is large or architecturally complex, if you have underlying damage beneath the existing siding, or if the weather delays the installation process.

Composite siding, with proper care, can last 30 years and sometimes more. Because its color has a tendency to fade, you might want to re-paint it every five years or so. Before purchasing composite siding, check the manufacturer’s warranty—you should have a long-term warranty to back up the quality of the product.

Pressure washing shou sugi ban siding is generally not a good idea. The charring process used in creating shou sugi ban siding involves burning the wood's surface to achieve its unique appearance and enhanced durability. The charred surface is delicate, and pressure washing can easily damage it. Instead of pressure washing, you can clean it with a soft brush or broom to remove loose debris, followed by a mixture of mild soap and water applied with a soft cloth or sponge.

Clapboard is considered to be eco-friendly, as it is mostly sourced from sustainable natural resources and it has insulating properties. Clapboard is more sustainable than vinyl siding materials, which are made of plastic. Clapboard made from fiber cement can also be considered environmentally friendly. This material mimics the look of wood without the impact of deforestation.
