We repair and/or refinish bathroom fixtures (example: tubs, sinks, etc) We also perform tub conversions for elderly and/or disabled loved ones.If getting in and out of the bathtub is not a problem, but the cleanliness and appearance are the problem, we at Like New Tub can help you with that as well. Unlike a tub liner, that can become a bacterial oasis , trapping water between it and the original tub, causing more damage over time than you started with, refinishing is similar to auto restoration. We will do exactly as our name implies, make your tub look like new, for approximately a ¼ of the cost of replacing, and cutting the time table to approximately 1 day, with the rare exception. We give FREE estimates. We are insured. We have references. We provide care & maintenance instructions, and a warranty. We travel to surrounding counties and beyond when needed. We also repair and refinish sinks, and tile. We accept cash or checks, and have gift certificates available. We have 29 years of experience in this industry. With Tennessee Tub and Volunteer Tub. Two alternatives to reglazing are installing a bathtub inlay or a bathtub liner. An inlay is a low-priced mat that adheres to the bottom of a bathtub or shower. It’s useful for sealing minor leaks and concealing damage on the bottom of a tub. On the other hand, a bathtub liner is essentially a protective casing that goes over the entire tub. Then, use an orbital sander with either a 100-, 30-, or 15-micron disc and finish with a hand pad (like Scotch-Brite™ 7447 or 7448) or lamb’s wool bonnet and automotive cutting compound for a matte, semi-gloss, or gloss-finish, respectively.
