Customers say: Quality work

"Have not got the bill yet, so I can not rate "value for money" But Ben and his helper did what they could. He discovered the cast iron drain has rusted away and was draining into the ground. (Mop sink) And they cleaned up their mess! Highly Recommended !"

"We were amazed at how efficient, timely, and thorough the crew was from initial estimate visit to actual work completion. They were very willing to answer the questions we had and explain how the new inside drain tile system would function as well as radon mitigation. We experienced a horrific fall with 14 inches of rain that the existing system could not handle resulting in complete disruption of our family room and basement. As we are in the process of redoing those areas we anxiously await the spring thaw to see to the extent the new system handles the problem. We cannot say enough good things about how the process went and the work of the crew that was here. We are so thankful and only wish we had done this sooner."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

Usually it’s fine to leave a toilet clogged overnight, as long as it’s not close to overflowing. In some cases, the extra time may give the clog time to work itself out. For example, if it’s caused by an excess of toilet paper, letting it sit could result in the clog dissolving and you may be able to simply flush it away by the time you wake up.

Only let it sit though if you have more than one toilet in the home.

As a preventative measure, hydro jetting should be done every one to two years. However, the best practice is to hydro jet your sewer line once per year. The ideal frequency depends on several factors, including the age and condition of your pipes, how prone they are to clogging, how often the sewer line is used, and the type of waste disposed of in the system. If you frequently experience clogs or are unsure, it's best to ask a licensed plumber for a recommendation specific to your plumbing system.

Unlike regular cleanings, snaking your sewer line should be done as needed. There’s no reason to snake your sewer line if you don’t have any noticeable issues, like slow drainage or plugged drains. You can add it to your regular sewer cleaning checklist as a prevention method (on the same 18- to 22-month schedule), but it’s not always necessary.

Yes, you can pour water down the toilet to help it flush. For each flush, you’ll need 1 to 2 gallons of water for newer toilets or 3 to 5 gallons of water for older toilets. Rather than dumping the entire bucket in all at once, pour the water in slowly for the best results. If you’re pouring water down the toilet to help it flush after a clog, only use 1 gallon of hot water.

Bleach isn’t likely to help unclog a sewer line. Bleach isn’t useful in this situation because it won’t dissolve the grime and debris in the clog. Instead, you want to use ingredients that will have a chemical reaction to clear out the buildup, like vinegar or salt and baking soda.
