He never charged for the extra work and only charge his original estimate (which was under what the other company wanted to charge). Unfortunately, the electrician was not able to actually fix our problem, but he determined that the motor on our ceiling fan (which we had installed a few months ago) was defective so that we could return it and exchange it for a new one.
