"I like working with this company. Rob Blake, the owner, is very professional. I called him because a hot water heater problem had revealed that the foam from a 2011 job had not filled the cavity in the wall as thought during the 2011 job. I did not know if this only applied to the water heater closet or to the entire cabin. Rob's response to my call was "That's why you have a lifetime warranty!" Wow. Not used to that. Rob came out the next day and crawled around under the cabin and poked wires into outlet cavities and showed me that the foam was only thin in the water heater closet, and given the construction of the closet, that made sense. Rob wanted to schedule a return within a few days to fix the problem before the weather got cold. I asked him to bid the top floor of my house to do at the same time. The fix was free and the top floor of my house was 3200. So altogether, I have spent $7100 with retrofoam, to insulate three houses; one about 750 square feet; one about 450 square feet and one about 4,000 square feet. As with the first job, the workers were polite, professional, hardworking and very thorough. They were very nice about things like taking down a bird feeder for me - not part of their job at all, and they were happy to help me with it. They do have to come inside to listen for something when certain walls are being injected; they were always very polite, wiped their feet and so on. They worked from 8 to 5 every day, and they did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves. The job was planned for two days but took three. They were very inobtrusive with my renter whose water heater closet they redid. In fact, they removed some fiberglass insulation near the water heater placed during the water heater repairs not only because it was ineffective but because the type that was there was a potential fire hazard (the paper side was near the water heater). This is pretty typical of them; they have gone above and beyond on every job for me. They really do work as if they were insulating their own homes. Very nice. The only almost-rough spot is that my cabin and my house had to be drilled right through the exterior siding, and after the holes were plugged, we needed to repaint the house. The 750- square foot house needed to be painted anyway so I didn't mind, and I planned the big house job to coincide with a painting soon after because I remembered that from last time, and it also was due for a repainting. Rob tells me that only five houses so far have had to be done this way; but I would ask him before the job if the house will need to be repainted as it would have been a pretty rude shock to not realize this ahead of time. I understand that most jobs do not result in a repainting, this was about the type of siding we had on our houses. In fact. Rob offered to supply the labor to restain the plugs to match the siding, but since we are repainting soon, we didn't see any need. The insulation has been astonishingly effective. Not only in retaining temperature, but also the houses are now so very quiet. This has been an excellent investment in our house, and we are very happy with the outcome. Also, this is a very professional, easy to deal with company.

"Awesome experience. Purchased home with open crawl space that was deteriorated with hanging insulation, and breeding ground for rodents and waste. Researched crawl space options and interviewed several companies to compare. Greg was honest, informative and provided an option that encapsulated the raised crawl space, complete with dehumidifier and thick vapor barrier. He promised to come by annually to check and make any necessary adjustments and stood by his word - we had the project completed in 2015 and he came back in 2016 adding some sealer to small gaps that occured and will be scheduled him again to return soon for 2017 service. VERY happy we completed - the house smells much better (they disinfected underneath and spent time ensuring joists were clean), air quality and comfort level is greater and greater peace of mind with rodent exclusion. "OK. The price was in the middle of the quotes that I received, which were all over the place from $8k to $20k. They didn't try to push unnecessary or complicated solutions on me and went with the basic install that I wanted. The system seems to be working fine six months later. Weather caused the crew to get behind schedule and they were rushing things a bit toward the end. A few details like sealing around the floor to duct connections and putting the insulation back around the openings for the duct work weren't finished up quite the way I expected but, that's not a big deal. Overall I am satisfied. I would use them again."

The time it takes for thinset to dry is determined by your room’s ambient temperature and humidity levels. Assuming the average humidity level is around 40% with an average temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit, thinset can dry within 48 hours. Lower temperatures and higher humidity can extend the curing process beyond 72 hours, while high heat and zero humidity can shorten the curing process. However, thinset can crack if it dries too fast.
According to the EPA, mold grows within 24 to 48 hours if left untreated after a water leak. So unless you notice the leak and stop it right away, you only have a day or so before mold is a real concern. If you don’t notice the leak, it can take about three weeks for the mold spores to become visible. The easiest way to cut holes in drywall for electrical boxes is to use a spiral saw with a drywall router bit. Hang the drywall without cutting out a hole for the box, but make sure you measure and mark where the box is located on the wall. Once you screw in the drywall sheet, drill a small hole into the box void, insert the spiral saw bit, and move it around the edge of the box using the inside wall as a guide. You can also use an oscillating multi-tool with an electrical box cutout for fast, professional results.
