We are owned and operated by a Charleston Native and US Air Force veteran who studies Civil Engineering and Construction Management in college. For the average homeowner we can grade and level your land/lot to keep water from Ponding or pooling your yard, dig ponds of any size, clean out or establish your ditches, build new driveways, re-rock driveways, clear trees and bush hog or underbrush around your land. We can haul in stone, top soil, mulch by the dump load or trailer load for whatever you may need. We can even load and haul off yard debris and trash if you need!

The number of bags of topsoil you need depends on the depth you’re filling. The average topsoil is sold in a roughly forty-pound bag, covering 12 square feet at a one-inch depth. Since topsoil is by nature the uppermost layer of soil, you can bet on only needing to fill about 4 to 8 inches of soil depth with it.

For instance, if you don’t compact crushed stone or gravel and you lay pavers on top of them, the pavers will shift over time. However, if you’re using gravel or crushed stone as a top layer for aesthetic purposes, you might not want to compact the materials.
