"Claudio and his team are the best -- professional, punctual and skilled. I spent 3 months research and interviewing contractors. I am very happy with the experience, and the quality of the finished product. I would highly recommend Pacheco Contracting."

"Rusty Holt of Blue Horizon Construction was the general contractor on building a custom home for me and my wife. He consulted with us and coordinated a variety of subcontractors to make our dream home a reality. He provided sources of information to help us to make crucial decisions on the types of fixtures and appliances that needed to go into the home. He was in constant contact with us to inform us of the status of things due to the supply chain slow down of materials. Rusty displayed a customer oriented attitude sprinkled with humor that made him easy and pleasant to work with."

"Great, love my new kitchen cabinets and pantry. Kitchen is so much brighter with the custom cabinets and a coffee area. Bathrooms look 10 times better, love the showers. And the custom bookshelf is awesome. Anyone that has come over loves everything. New flooring is so much better than carpet. Glad the remodel is finished but would hire Monty and Josh again. Totally liked that they handled everything."

"Hired a professional to install 2 hand rails for my parents. One was installed on the front porch brick steps and one on the back porch brick steps. They arrived on time, installed both handrails quickly and safely. Handrails are sturdy, and now my parents lives are that much safer. Would recommend."

"Derek was a pleasure to work with and we are very pleased with the results. He listened to what we wanted, made suggestions when we weren't sure, and adapted as we went along. Work was done well, on time and on budget, with good communication along the way as we were not present most of the time. We would gladly work with him and his team again in the future."

"Contractor's Plus did an excellent job repairing my home from an extensive termite infestation. I called Contractor's Plus and they came to my home the same day to look at the damage. Contractor's Plus was very fair and transparent regarding the work to be completed and my costs. Although the work was much more extensive than we initially realized, Contractor's Plus was able to repair the full extent of the damage and keep me informed throughout the process. The team worked quickly and was able to bring our home back to the same state as prior to the termite discovery. Henri and his team managed the entire repair process from begging to end, to include obtaining the necessary permits, framing, painting, electrical work, and roofing. I would recommend and have recommended Contractor's Plus to anyone requiring the services of an honest and reputable general contractor. I will be using Contractor's Plus in the future for all of my home remodeling and repair needs."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

There are several different steps in the pole barn building process. First, you’ll need construction plans, which you’ll use to obtain permits. Then, you can clear the land so it’s suitable for building and installing the foundation. Your contractor will frame the barn using large poles, then rough in the plumbing and electricity (if your barn has those elements) before finishing the interior, adding siding, and installing the roof.

After that, they’ll finish up the electrical work and plumbing and add your windows and doors. You may have a few other finishing jobs to do like painting or waterproofing.

While concrete walls do not need to "breathe" in the traditional sense of the word, they do require waterproofing and dehumidifying methods, particularly in basements below the water table. Concrete both contains moisture from its initial installation and can absorb water when exposed. Ensuring proper basement ventilation , installing a vapor barrier, and controlling water exposure are all important tasks.

Hiring a professional to do a loft conversion will certainly speed up the process. The construction steps required to change the slope of the roof can be quite difficult to do as a DIY job. Should the project run into any snags, like rot in the joists, frayed wiring, or roof leaks, hiring a local home remodeling professional makes it far easier to handle these issues safely.

Villa exterior features often include large windows, arched doorways, patios, terraces, greenery, and gardens. Common exterior colors for villas are whites and off-whites, soft browns, and clay tones.

Stone, marble, and brick are common building materials of Neoclassical architecture, though you will also find wood flooring and a range of natural stone tiles. Since several home styles fall under Neoclassical architects' umbrella, a range of building materials—including traditional wood framing—will make an appearance.
